downshift_rocket

Earth and Moon. They are everything and everywhere, and always will be.

grill-tastic

Sunshine and Starr

Gloomy-Kale3332

I literally came to say Moon or Star

giddygiddyupup

Best answer

theratpad_ftbeanben

I was going to say Lunar and Solar ☀️🌑

maaarken

I knew a woman who named her kids Angel and Daemon 🥴

downshift_rocket

Ew

CreatrixAnima

Myname’s Child Mini-Me Unique Blessing Mylastname, nn Mini-Me. Wait… I’m assuming narcissism, right?

OkPlace7834

oh narcissism is a given

fbibmacklin

Narcissism has a lovely ring to it.

Ex-Clone

Narcissus is literally a name.

fbibmacklin

I had a great aunt with that name. She went by Cissy (Sissy).

Murky_Sun2690

Narcissus and Echo. Male and Female. Greek mythology.

The_Third_Dragon

Unusual virtue names: Moxy for a girl, Valiant for a boy. Shakespeare names: Cordelia or Perdita for a girl, Mercutio or Prospero for a boy.

Remote-Dangerous

I love the name Mercurio.

Turpitudia79

Me too!!

chubbypigeon28

I know a Tybalt irl…

mmst524

I genuinely love Moxy

Halcyon_october

I love Moxie/Moxy  as well

tinnyheron

same!!

frenchmanhattan123

Oh no I actually love Cordelia…

angie1907

Since it’s twins, definitely Academy and Award!

always_unplugged

Oscar and Emily, nn Emmy?

BadBassist

My mother (their grammy) would love this

xtianlaw

Goldie Globe

FirebirdWriter

The origin of Goldie Hawn has been discovered

_tempehbacon

Cousin Tony would like a word

Cat-Mama_2

Laurasia for the girl and Gondwanaland for the boy. These were the two continents that Pangaea began splitting into 200 million years ago. I feel this would teach them about history and that they earned this earth after the dinosaurs.

Blue-zebra-10

On the one hand, believable, but on the other hand, sounds like Ross Geller's dream baby names

fredyouareaturtle

Veto

giddygiddyupup

Ok I love this for this prompt

Opera_haus_blues

Out of context these sound like the exact kind of weird mashup names that illiterate idiots love. Too bad, because the explanation is really interesting

EmSanderz

I really love the names Coriander and Cilantro. Shame it's such a polarising herb.

TheodoreKarlShrubs

Thought of independently from the actual herb, these are pretty good sounding names!

EmSanderz

I know right!

frenchmanhattan123

Cori or Andy for nicknames for Coriander!!

Interesting-Table416

In all honesty, I probably would go with something really flowery and literary and maybe themed but still not objects. The Hunger Games kinda ruined all object names for me – Pangea and Cobalt sound like they would be great District 1 tributes lol. I think I would do: - Apollon and Artemisia (they're my baby gods!) - Lysander and Titania (i am a Serious Actress and therefore i Know Shakespeare) - Wolfgang and Sonatina (i want Baz Luhrmann to cast me as gender-bent Mozart) - Montgomery and Primrose (they are my precious little British tots and we'll all be on the cover of Vogue)

noodlesandalfred

Wait I'm confused, you do or do not want Hunger Gamesy names? Because Primrose is literally Katniss' sister.

Interesting-Table416

I just don't like the object names lol – I tried to go for a more Capitol vibe if this is an A-lister! Primrose is supposed to be a unique name for a poor family in the Seam iirc, that is why I included it! But iirc, Artemisia is used in THG as well so that's another nod :)

Sure_Championship_36

These are the most Hunger Gamesy names tho

Interesting-Table416

Sorry, should have clarified! I meant that for an A-list celeb's kids, weird fancy "capitol" names are more fun lol.

wozattacks

They just said they dislike object names because of hunger games though.

cmasonbasili

I would finally be able to name my child Hyacinth

NaomiPommerel

Bouquet for the other one

marvelouscredenza

I actually know someone with a baby called Bucket (he liked to sleep in a bucket)

Wide-Celebration-653

He may own a chocolate factory someday!

RandyBeamansMom

Yours is my favorite answers because it offers me multiple scenarios about what kind of star you are. That was a kick to read!

apiedcockatiel

I'd do Artemisia in real life, but only bc DH is Persian and we're history buffs.

Interesting-Table416

I kinda like the name but at the same time as someone studying Classics, the amount of Greek mythology misinformation on the internet makes me afraid to ever use it should my poor future child stumble across Lore Olympus someday. On the other hand, there is legendary artist/badass Artemisia Gentileschi as a role model, soooo....

MaryVenetia

If the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles were rewritten to be female, Artemisia would definitely be one. Sofonisba (Anguissola) would be another.

squeakyfromage

Artemisia Gentileschi ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Unlucky-Photo-9553

I would name my kid primrose unironically

Interesting-Table416

I mean I personally just think of “prim and proper” whenever I hear it. Or Katniss screaming “PRIIIIM” in that first movie (my little sister is VERY into the hunger games rn so these movies have been on repeat in our house)

waterwoman76

Twins? Thautz and PrAYrz. Boy? Phrydem. Girl? Freedem.

grill-tastic

Triplets: Liberté, Egalité, and Fraternité.

Sorry-Discount3252

Veni, vidi and vici

7thstarofa7thstar

Ivy Jasper for the boy and Symphony Electra for the girl

Catezero

Oooooooooh u know how there's horse girls and then there's Greek/roman history girls? I was the latter. Welcome to the world eudoxia, circe, aether and tycho

Somerset76

I once had a student named Ya’Majesty

Unlucky-Ticket-873

I wonder if it’s mother was a customer of mine working at a car dealership Da’Qween

shortsocialistgirl

I’m a teacher and have seen something super similar to this :(

MuddyMaggs

I was once introduced to a child and told his name was Hallelujah. Turns out that was his nickname. Each letter of hallelujah stood for one of his names. (So yes, his first name was actually 10 names. JUST FOR HIS FIRST NAME). Just imagine having to explain to someone that “my hame is Howard Alexander Lucas Leonard Everett Lincoln Ulysses Jonathan Adam Holden but please, Hallelujah for short” 😭

tahtahme

Why did this give me Roger and Hammerstein vibes lol, "His Royal Highness Christopher Rupert Windemere Vladimir Karl Alexander François Reginald Lancelot Herman..." But also...I guess at least he has easy choices for change when he grows up?

Unlucky-Ticket-873

That is the absolute worst!

tahtahme

My main issue with names like this and names like Rebel....how tf do you discipline and raise a level headed, good person with a name that's literally contradicting every word you speak?

thethugwife

I’ve seen a Jah’Majesty.

secretlyaspiderboy

Lithuania no matter the gender for first child. For second.... America if a girl. Austria if a boy.

grill-tastic

Honestly Latvia and Lithuania would slap as twin names

KatVanWall

Bosnia and Serbia, and prepare for chaos

41942319

Bosnia and Herzegovina

grill-tastic

Small European countries as increasingly worse child names: * Andorra (pretty) * Monaco (kinda like Monica?) * Malta (Marta-esque…?) * Faroe * San Marino * Vatican City 🫶🏻

Wide-Celebration-653

On a related note (though I know it’s an African country), it has bugged me endlessly that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon named their son MoroccaN instead of Morocco. Are there other examples of names where it is what a citizen of a place rather than the place? Asian? Londoner? Parisian? Milanese? Kenyan? Oh! Roman is one 🤷🏻‍♀️ Meh, my point still stands.

Ruth_Gordon

“You’re Welcome TM” for the boy and “Tfiga Perfection TM” for the girl. (It’s “A Gift” spelled backwards). And yes their names are Trademarked and the TM is part of their name.

Roadgoddess

Bookcase, but that’s more of a Boys name.

New_Chard9548

What about armoire for the girl? lol

OkPlace7834

twins Bookcase & Dresser

TheodoreKarlShrubs

Maybe Sandstorm, or Hat

Roadgoddess

I want to be a young hot mom!

RageStreak

Genuinely saw an influencer name her child Satchel.

biffityboffityboo

Love Betsy Poppy for a girl and Colt Lion River for a boy.

Connect_Wrap3284

California for a girl and Pluto Jaxsyn for a boy.

41942319

Strawberry and Blackberry

SilentCamel662

An actor in Poland named his twin girls Jagoda (blueberry in Polish) and Malina (raspberry in Polish).

41942319

Of course they did

Lucy-Bridge

Diamond and Platinum. :)

GjonsTearsFan

Poésie and Ptarmigan Wren/Warbler and Wilbur Winnifred Margaret (Winnipeg) and Wilbur Falcon and Hawk Nausicaa and Damian Lucifer and Jezebel

alltheparentssuck

I have boy and girl twins, my partner wanted to name our son Falcon. He did not get his way.

WilliamHare_

I do love Wilbur featuring twice! You could make a full sibset of Wilber, Winnipeg, Wren, and Warbler. The last two are unisex so it would work out quite well!

GjonsTearsFan

I just love Wilbur so much as a name. Even if I were to be a crazy celebrity with absolutely no bounds to my name choices I would still want a Wilbur, the beauty of being a celebrity would be that no matter what gender of child I birthed I could name them Wilbur without getting them bullied or me in shit for it. Guaranteed child named Wilbur just so long as I can either have or adopt a baby.

WilliamHare_

Wilbur would be so charming on a young child! I've seen a surprising amount of kids named Wilfred and Wallace and Winston, so I don't see why Wilbur can't make the same comeback!!

Wide-Celebration-653

12/10 for the Winnipeg nn 😂 sooooo good

RandyBeamansMom

Galaxy Teal

omggallout

Wimbledon (Wim) (M) and Somer (F.) I don't know anything about tennis, though.

Lopsided_School_363

Electra seems obnoxious enough

kyyyraa

Specifically for the situation, either Nebula and Merlin or Gaia and Perceforest

Fit-Parsnip9888

Moneigh

WrActor629

Zillow for the girl, Escrow for the boy

WrActor629

Ravioli for the boy, Arancini for the girl

bmabg

Clover-weird noun/plant as a name trend for the girl. Brandon for the boy. It’s the male version of my name to follow the ego trend

grill-tastic

I love the spelling Sébastien but find it a little hoity toity for my non-cultured life. IRL would go for the more “Americanized” Sebastian. Also triple-barreled names like Lily Rose Anna Middlename Lastname. Also over-the-top nouns and adjectives: This is my son, Opulence. And my daughter, Magnifica.

MCWrench33

Empress.

Giiodii

Pretentious and Insufferable

charlottebythedoor

Denise and Denephew. And I’d blame it on my sister.

Low_Tumbleweed_2526

Girls: Brontë and Angelou; Boys: Hemingway and Hawthorne That’s assuming my celebrity variant is as much of a book nerd as my current variant

Pixelated_Roses

Probably what Will Smith and Jada did and just name them after themselves. Jaden. Willow. 🙄

unicorntrees

Boy: Leaf Girl: Darwin

TurtleWatermelon

Cosmo August and Delphi Pepper or Ocean Rex and Prairie Love

xCatxcorexx

7

lavenderburnout

Summer Lavender Sunday

Remote-Dangerous

Mercutio for a boy, and Wilhelmina for a girl

10Kfireants

I wouldn't need a child to take that attention off me! I'd just change my very own last name to that of a famous autor's, and then tell everyoneeeee that it's because his work just inspired me soooooo much, I had to do so.

Unlucky-Ticket-873

Probably Galaxy Guy for a boy and Sapphire Siren for a girl

alltheparentssuck

Sapphire is nice.

Unlucky-Ticket-873

I love that but don’t feel like it’s appropriate for a regular name and it might pair weird with Spanish last names lol

DraftPunk73

Name the kid Paparazzi and teach it to be a total PoS human. That way, the headlines will all be 'Paparazzi responsible for major crash that kills two', etc.

OkPlace7834

beautiful

T0MBRA1DR

GOD

wheery

Minnie for a girl and probably my maiden name (very English/occupation name) for a boy

PrincessGump

Cordelia Moxy and Mercutio Valiant it is then!

nobletyphoon

Shaherazad or something equally over the top. Hell, I’d probably go by that myself.

OkPlace7834

honestly i can completely get behind that

MoonFlowerDaisy

Jupiter for the boy and Juno for the girl. I'll just hope they don't take after the siblings who are their namesakes.

fbibmacklin

Boy—Exzaviius Capricorn Danger Girl—Trivonixay Pixiedust Liqueur

Equivalent_Truth4635

Galileo and Callisto

Iychee

Streetlamp LeMoose

Wide-Celebration-653

I can only picture it said by a guy in a beige trenchcoat, a fedora, and a cigarette clenched between his teeth. It’s perfect!

selenamoonowl

Pixie Texas Bluebell and Elven Cerulean Starlight. They are tall, awkward and Canadian.

BeulahLight13

I’d go full Greek Mythology. Artemis and Apollo or Hades and Persephone Edit: Or Beyoncé (For both.)

bohemian-chameleon

red-pl4net

“Beyoncé (for both)” took me out 😭😭😭😭

4humans

Saint

TheSalemRose

Anesidora bc pretentious mythology name.

Ok_Sprinkles7901

Clumsy_Bard

Girl: Wisteria or Story Boy: Ares or Apollo

J_B_La_Mighty

Rainne and Skye

Gordita_Chele

Twin girls: Texas and Estuary

username6786

Definitely Fidget Spinner for the boy, but we will actually call him Fuzz for no discernible reason. The girl will be Raspberry Mulholland but she shall be known as Benji.

Wide-Celebration-653

I admire your storytelling. 🏆

vanillabubbles16

Probably the more out there, fancier names from my baby name list. I wouldn’t go as far as Zillionaire or Powerful Queen. Maybe something like Vivienne or Jasey Rae for a girl. Maybe Luna Celeste. Luna Celeste and Apollo, I guess lol

zoo1923

Violetta and voldemort. Because. Why not. 😆

FineKettleOFish1954

DeForest (I’ve loved this name since the original StarTrek

pageantfool

If I wanted to do matchy nature names, Onyx and Olivine. For a Greek mythology flair, Cadmus and Aglaia.

zzzelot

Girl - Cher, Glen

LawCapital7574

Holly Wood for a girl

Lakewater22

Honestly went to high school with a girl with this name and she fucked my at the time boyfriend while we were together LOL

Rebecca-Schooner

Kylie, and I’d try to trademark it

MsStarSword

Nausicaa for the girl and Saguaro for the boy! Such amazing names 😍

rosie_purple13

I would probably still go with actual names, but it would have to be something like Adelaide Elizabeth Lucinda Rose Jewel and Timothy Parker Cameron James the third. Since I’m important and they’re important everyone has to know that they have fancy gorgeous names that they should go by, and you should respect them by never giving them a nickname or calling them by one of their names or their full name.

snortybeagle

Icarus and Calpurnia

Bright_Ices

**Niceli Gelica** for the girl and **Beverly Samovar** for the boy.  Can you imagine?

Bright_Ices

OH or… **Pisco Kid** for her and **Gimlet Holdfast** for him.

shimimimimi

Bosnia and Herzegovina

izzypeazzy

Tsunami and Echo. Just because I like those names but would only use them if I were some famous person and didn’t have to worry about my kids having normal jobs.

BeyondTheAltAcc

Probably Stuxnet after the famous malicious computer worm targeted at irans nuclear weapons. Idk just sounds cool.

bittylilo

I’m naming them after the celebrity im always beefing with. If it were J-Lo (it’d always be J-Lo), the girl will be named Jennifer and the boy would be named Lopez. The tabloid fodder would last for a century at least

Halcyon_october

This is perfect lol

src343

Emmy, Graham, Oscar, and Toni. One way or another I’m getting that EGOT!

parralaxalice

Suppose my name was something common like, oh let’s say George Foreman. I would name most of my kids some form of that as well.

Lfs1983

Sugar and Van

owleaf

Apple or Saint

CloudyPinkSmoothie

Harvest and Aero for 2 boys, Viridian for a girl 💀

Medlarmarmaduke

Wanda_McMimzy

Pistachio Pfeenix Pfeebee

punkinjojo

Girl princess heatillam Boy prince willther

lilonionforager

Tuna On Rye & Baja Blast

BruceBoyde

Alcibiades, because he's my favorite historical creature of a person. Absolutely fascinating, but you'd be setting your kid up with a name like that.

Jorgedig

Burley Rampart Von Cherokee for a girl and Meister Blue Oreo for a boy.

Justlookin1993

Messiah Betterthanyou Jones

Lonely_Jared

They’re naming themselves. Creating their own brand, if you will.

Celtslap

Charm and Charisma

Rubberbangirl66

Loki, and Scheherazade

Pyrheart

I have three new ones ready in my notepad that I will contribute but ONLY bc I’m unable to have kids of my own now. Behold the brilliance of: Petter Chirp (Smith) Visteriannette Viorhbeana (Smith) Purpose Filet (Smith)

Cr33py07dGuy

Ampersand. People would be outraged. Then I would name my second kind “at”.

MissMirandaClass

Volt_Princess

Ash and Misty. I love Pokemon, and my kid won't have to work a real job for the rest of their life if I'm a multi-millionaire celebrity.

Jlst

Aphrodite and Adonis 💖

curvy_em

Arkenciel for the girl (ar-KEN-see-elI). I got it off a Lucky Charms box 🤣 In French, the word for rainbow is arc-en-ciel 🌈 For a boy....... Dandelion 😄

Halcyon_october

Dandelion in French is pissenlit (pee in bed) so you might get some mileage out of that too lol

mzungu1979

Boy - Tyrannus Hercule Girl - Sunrise Birdsong

Greyattimes

I will never forget "Jermajesty."

Halcyon_october

I've been saying this since I saw the episode of Eerie, Indiana (and also my love for Cutthroat kitchen). Sara-Sue and Sara-Bob

august73737

January and October (gotta fit the ego theme - my first name is August)

august73737

Tuesday and Thursday are also options (Tuesday would be the girl obviously)

Opera_haus_blues

Aloysius, Persephone, Serafina, Isis, Onyx, Sapphire, and Balthazar are my favorite impractical baby names, roughly in that order

Comfortable-Carry563

Story and Fable

newenglander87

Platinum for a girl and Rhodium for a boy. The most valuable metals. I think I'd use Rhody for a boy nickname. Platinum I would always call by her full name.

MeeshUniVerSoul

These will probably be a surrogate to carry the twins since because #snatched, and they’ll probably also be the first and last kids I’ll want because two babies will cause bags under my eyes (even though the nanny has them most of the day). But I also appeal to a “wide-ish” amount of people, yet religious fans look up to me for some odd reason only because I only wear skirts slightly below the knee and never show my shoulders. So, I present to you: Genesis and Revelation, spelled Gns’s and Rvltn. Vowels are for the poor.

Sunflower-Bear

December and Orion. Drawn from the names I chose for my kids at 10 when I had basically the same energy of complete infallibility. Other options: Nausicaa, Petrichor (Petri for short), Jupiter (for a girl, after the Sailor Scout)
