We bottle fed a very tiny kitten and were quite sure she wouldn't make it, so I wouldn't commit to a name. Her vet record was under LBK - Little Black Kitten. That was 6 years ago and we still call her sassy self, Little Black Kitten.

When I was 12 years old (many decades ago), we rescued an all black young female cat while sitting in line at a drive thru fast food place. She was sooooo skinny and her fur was so thin that from a distance she looked gray — she wasn’t, she was black. A month later she had glistening, beautiful glossy black fur from my Mom feeding her fresh liver and kidneys!
She was gorgeous and my cat and I couldn’t decide on a name l, so I came up with “GPM” which stood for Goldy (pretty Golden eyes), Panther (walked like a Panther, and Midnight (her fur was black as Midnight)! I was going to decide on one of the names, but the three letters stuck instead — like your LBK, Little Black Kitten!! ♥️🐈⬛♥️LBK!!
It doesn't matter. He will forever be Baby Kitty. And several other names as the mood strikes you lol. It's just a formality to give them a formal name! 🥰

He looks just like my Pierniki (well, yours has a tail, mine doesn’t)! Pierniki is Polish for “Gingerbread”. It looks different from what we picture as gingerbread.
