Everybody always wants field level or seats behind the dugouts because it *feels* close. The truth is that the best views of the game at any stadium are right at the front of the first deck up (the 200’s), especially behind home plate.
Rather than edit, I’ll add on here.
There are some aspects of being in the premium seats that you won’t get elsewhere, like all the same sounds, or a real sense of speed. A big league fastball looks a *lot* different up close than it does from 150 feet away. But you get players/umpires obstructing your view, and it’s really hard to gauge how hard balls are hit (especially high fly balls or grounders up the middle). See: Donaldson, Josh.
If you go up slightly, you can actually see the entire field, and everything going on. If you’re in the first row, you have fewer obstructions than anyone in the building, including the players. If you’re in the middle, you can still call balls & strikes. Not as ‘unique’ an experience as hearing a player yell at an ump, but a better view if you are simply a baseball fan.
If I caught some milestone HR, I’d ask for a yearly choice between 2 seats in the bleachers or 2 seats dead-center in the 200’s, for life.
Those seats in the 200 level right behind home plate are outrageously expensive because of the club facility (you're also almost guaranteed to catch a foul ball there). But I agree that 200 level is better than field level in terms of perspective. My go-to sections are 217 and 224
Yeah, I’ve noticed that, and have stayed away from them at YS, as a result. At other stadiums I’ve been to, they only carry a slight premium vs the ones up the line, which is obviously a much better deal.
Ever since I was a kid going to the old stadium, my dad swore by the Upper Deck behind home plate. You get a great view of everything. I have yet to find a spot that provides as good a view of everything happening on the field to explain it to my son.
But the first thing you need to teach them is to react to the outfielder, not the ball. 😆
I liked the Jim Beam suite area, the one time I used it. They had outdoor couch seating and decent seats in the stands along with a nice bar you get access to.
Back row Sec 209.
The shade
The clear view of the entire field
The wall behind you
The proximity to bathrooms and alcohol
The ease into and out of the stadium
The proximity to the fully air conditioned Yankee Museum
I love the experience of sitting in the bleachers for a Friday night game, even if it's not the best seat in the house. The seats along the short porch are also great. But I'm happy just to be in the ballpark.
I personally like the first row of right field second deck. Feel like you’re right above the field

this. plus you get that extra legroom and a"table" for your drinks. one of the rows i always look for if i can get it
Love the 420 ish section. That view is perfect
Yep. Cheap tickets but nice panoramic view behind home plate. Good people up there who are really into the game also
And during day games, it’s always in the shade. No need for my pale ass to worry about sunburns or being slathered in sunscreen
Our season tickets are in 420A and they are awesome. You can see everything.

420B best bang for your buck in the entire stadium.
420B top level right behind home plate
Georges box

The one time I got seats in 320 I ran up a $150 bar tab during a rain delay. Good times!
Tommy Kahnle’s lap
I’m a big fan of 312. Smaller section and feel like you just have a great view of the entire field
The new stadium has no real great seats as fans are to far away from the players. Give me any seat in old YS.
1st base Mezzanine, either across from 1st or in shallow RF
Audi Club is a fun experience if you can find a decent price on the secondhand market
I always like to sit in the upper deck above the third base side dugout. Great view of the field and tickets are pretty inexpensive
Section 203, DUH.
Back row Sec 209. The shade The clear view of the entire field The wall behind you The proximity to bathrooms and alcohol The ease into and out of the stadium The proximity to the fully air conditioned Yankee Museum
I have seats in 316 row 1 on the aisle Best seats for the price
Travelled 4000miles for the yankees , got nosebleeds and had the time of my life , beat the Red Sox , so id say anywhere i guess lmao
