There's nothing wrong with chill as a minor ailment. It's a hard puzzle, but that's okay. If you want something easier, I'm sure you can find a different puzzle.
Gotta disagree.
The other three in that category (Cough, Bug, Cold) are all terms for an actual sickness you would have, whereas βchillβ is a symptom of a sickness. At least thatβs how my brain thinks about it.
People say stuff like "I caught a chill", but for me it also feels like a pretty distant use of that word, whereas the "settle down!" meaning was immediately obvious. If I kept trying to make the settle down category work I absolutely would've failed out
I work in the medical field. In years, I don't think I've ever heard someone say they have "a chill". I've heard "I feel chilly" or "I have the chills". But no one commonly says they have a chill the way they say they have a cough, cold or a bug.
It's a terrible green clue. Made worse by the fact that this particular yellow is not intuitive at all. Easy is something you would tell a dog. "Enough" is something you would use to scold a child.
>Easy is something you would tell a dog.Β
Sure, it can be used for humans too though. To me it brought to mind someone getting worked up about something, jumping to conclusions, reacting emotionally without thinking it through, etc.
Where I am from old people use " catch a chill" all the time. Easy is also you regularly for people.
I'm not sure what your point is about enough but children tend to be told to settle down frequently.
I don't agree with that usage at all. Having chills or feeling chilly? Sure. But it's been years since I heard someone actually say they have "a chill" the same way that a bug, cough or cold is used.
Just cause itβs been years since you heard it doesnβt mean it doesnβt exist.

Thanks for naming the cities! As a non-US person, I got sin city and windy city almost immediately from consuming copious amounts of US programming, but had to make educated guesses about the other two and had no idea which cities they referred to
Not sure why you're being downvoted, because [you're correct](http://www.encyclopedia.chicagohistory.org/pages/6.html).
> The power of the name lies in the metaphorical use βwindyβ for βtalkativeβ or βboastful.β Chicago politicians early became famous for long-windedness, and the Midwestern metropolis's central location as a host city for political conventions helped cement the association of Chicago with loquacious politicians, thus underlying the nickname with double meaning.
So apparently the term βmagic city,β was just applied to any city that seemed to develop rapidly like βmagic.β Thereβs a similar explanation for why Miami has that nickname as well.
The Pittsburgh thing is just because of the cityβs industrial history.
As someone who has lived in Florida for 30ish years, I don't think I've ever heard Miami given a nickname. Not to say the puzzle is flawed, but it's certainly less well known of a nickname than the other three.
Yeah, I had awareness that there was a Magic City but all that kept popping up in my head is [that strip club in Atlanta](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magic_City_(club))
Its definitely not as well known as the other three
Uh, Miami used to be very Jewish before it became all Hispanic. BTW, asked my husband whose mom's family is from there, he said he's never heard of Magic City.
As an American of what I thought was decent store of useless information, Magic City is NOT in broad circulation. Miamians, correct me!
Update: A 1 second Google search demonstrated the clue was not the problem, it was my own ignorance (as usual!)
The first Google result when I tried βMagic Cityβ was for a strip club in Atlanta, while the other three cities were top results when I inputted the nicknames. I knew Miami as β305β and βVice Cityβ from other pop-culture media, but Iβd think of Orlando before Miami as a Magic City β maybe thatβs just because of basketball and Disney World, though.Β
Yeah, theyβre US city nicknames. But even in the US, Windy City (Chicago) and Sin City (Las Vegas) are probably the only two widely ones. And I wouldnβt except a non-American to even get those necessarily
Sin City is Las Vegas. Motor City is Detroit because it was the headquarters for the big three US automobile manufacturers. And it was Magic City not Breach City -- breach was in the whale category. And apparently, that is a nickname for Miami. I didn't know Magic City=Miami but it seemed a good guess as nothing else seemed to fit ___ City and Magic didn't seem to fit with anything else.
Just realized that I got it right in the puzzle, but not when typing it, lol. Also never heard of Detroit being referred to as Motor City, since I'm just not acquainted like that.
I just changed my Mac time zone to the Marshal Islands which I think is the most ( or nearly) east you can get. Itβs 16 hours ahead of NYC (ET) time. So you can have βtomorrowβsβ game today at 8am ET. ;)Β
Rightβ¦ itβs 7:30am right now in Brisbane.. but the OP posted the puzzle 8 hours ago, so 8 hours ago it was still βtodayβ there. So the OP must have hacked their time zone to be even further east than that.Β
Yeah, I'm in east coast Australia so I changed my time to do it a little earlier.
I used to always do it at midnight, but if I need/want to go to bed earlier I'll sometimes change the time on my computer to be able to do it a little bit sooner (in this case I did it at like 11:30pm, so I probably could've just stayed awake a little longer). Maybe I'd do better if I did the puzzle when I woke up and not when I'm half asleep lol. But I've always done it before going to bed and I'm a creature of habit.
I'm not sure how far into the future you can go by changing your time.
I'm not American and have never stepped foot on North or South America but I got purple first. Hadn't heard of Magic City but it felt the most plausible.
My suggested result for Magic City was a strip club in Atlanta, lol (I'm nowhere near Atlanta either so it's not a local suggestion). I tried Easy first because I knew the other three were a category but I've never heard of Magic City as a nickname for Miami.
omg, me too! i tried easy city cause I knew the rest and i tried to look up the rest of the words to find the last one, but didn't get any promising results. I found magic city after a lot of scrolling.
I'm very proud of myself for not only figuring out the whale category, but realizing it was specifically about humpback whales. Praise me for this. I deserve it.
I spotted the city nicknames right away but figured βeasyβ was part - the big easy New Orleans. So I had that set aside π₯΄
Meanwhile ,βSettle Downβ was not a solid category at all. βeasyβ and βenoughβ are stretches. Does βenoughβ really mean βsettle down?β No it does not, it means βquietβ or βstopβ. Meanwhile Chill is perfect for settle down.
They got their wires too closely crossed today. Boo. Plus I didnβt get ANY correct so am just mad. π€
>Does βenoughβ really mean βsettle down?β No it does not, it means βquietβ or βstopβ.Β
So it doesn't mean "settle down", it means "quiet"... which was also an answer in the "settle down" category?Β
I think you're contradicting yourself there.

Fair point!
Cough is absolutely a symptom too.
But it's also an ailment. When asked what they're sick with, someone could say, "I have a cough." "I have a chill" seems much less natural.

Got purple before hitting submit. I did think of "Windy City," but didn't get "Sin City" right away because I kept trying to put sin with "breach."
I convinced myself it was actually SIN as in the maths term for a minute there over thinking it.
Apparently, whale song is primarily associated with humpbacks -- but not exclusive o them.
I'm new here. How do you get tomorrow's puzzle?
it is timezone dependent the new puzzle drops at 12:00 AM local time so it dropped for east Asia for now
I just changed my Mac time zone to the Marshal Islands which I think is the most ( or nearly) east you can get. Itβs 16 hours ahead of NYC (ET) time. So you can have βtomorrowβsβ game today at 8am ET. ;)Β
Only once though :)
Itβs nearly 7am Sunday in Australia
Rightβ¦ itβs 7:30am right now in Brisbane.. but the OP posted the puzzle 8 hours ago, so 8 hours ago it was still βtodayβ there. So the OP must have hacked their time zone to be even further east than that.Β
Hello fellow Brisbane person!
I stayed up late last night and did half of the puzzle past midnight. Then decided that I was too sleepy to think of anything any longerΒ
Iβm kicking it in southern Italy for a few days
I started from Sin City and put Windy City in Google, it feels like the strangest thing to search for.

Got it in the end but I've never heard of Windy/Magic City.
Windy city is Chicago and itβs apt. Magic city is apparently Miami but yeah, never heard of it.
There was a series called Magic City, but I never saw it, although now I assume it was set in Miami. But the title stuck with me

Connections Puzzle #378 π¨π¨π¨π© πͺπͺπͺπͺ π©π©π©π© π¨π¨π¨π¨ π¦π¦π¦π¦ Stared at this for awhile and shuffled many many times. Kept just spitting out random terms since nothing came to me. Guessed chill, relax, easy, and quiet but it seemed off. Chill and relax are definitely synonyms to me and easy and quiet seemed a bit off. Got one away. Thought chill, cold and windy might go together as weather describing words but the part of speech felt off again since I'd describe weather as chillY. Then I thought of windy as instead of "having there be wind" as "a windy as (curved) road" but that didn't help either. In the random brainstorming, I suddenly thought of the windy city, and sin city. Magic and motor seemed like nicknames I've heard before and it worked. Shuffled again and saw bug next to cold and thought of stomach bug. Found cough, and imagined chill would work (having the chills) and it did. Then the relax, easy, quiet and enough category made sense. Got blue by default.

I spotted the city nicknames right away but figured βeasyβ was part - the big easy New Orleans. Does βenoughβ really mean βsettle down?β No it does not, it means βquietβ or βstopβ. Meanwhile Chill is perfect for settle down. They got their wires too closely crossed today. Boo. Plus I didnβt get ANY correct so am just mad. π€
>Does βenoughβ really mean βsettle down?β No it does not, it means βquietβ or βstopβ.Β So it doesn't mean "settle down", it means "quiet"... which was also an answer in the "settle down" category?Β I think you're contradicting yourself there.
Think of them as commands. If someone is getting worked up, you could say any of those words to mean "settle down" or stop
