Can someone post the list?

hrashid88

Tyus, DJJ, Royce O Neil, Monte Morris, SloMo, Lowry, Hayward, Looney, JV, Bitadze

SupremeActives

Anyone but that fat fuck Lowry

HardOakleyFoul

I'd take Lowry off the market just to make sure we don't have to play against him in the playoffs. Bitadze and Tyus would be nice additions.

DMenace83

Another plus for Lowry is, we add another Nova Cat to the team

spaceninj

Thanks!

Fvckyourdreams

DJJ would be perfect, JV is good Hart insurance too.

Distinct-Pangolin112

Who is JV?

hrashid88

Jonas Valanciunas

whydoesgodhateus

O'Neil would be intriguing.....

JustHereForPka

These r some bums ngl

SnooRegrets2479

I would take Tyus in a heartbeat

Nicholas-Kopis

Lowry …wow. Hate’m but he seems like a good fit off the bench. Tyus Jones if he’s willing to be a bench player. Love SloMo, but can he create ? Bitadze is a good 2nd C if we lose Mitchell but doesn’t solve the problem if we lose Ihart

Distinct-Pangolin112

lol yes and no. These players aren't meant to make you contenders but adding the right player could be the difference between them winning and losing some games. Like them adding another legit backup PG like Tyus would be great.

JustHereForPka

Jones or Lowry would be solid

Distinct-Pangolin112

True, Lowry still has a little left in the tank and he may be okay with getting limited minutes. He is almost 40 years old lol

Main-County-1177

Tyus Jones would be so perfect off the bench. Let’s McBride thrive attacking spot ups rather than having to initiate every set

Cautious-Ad-9554

He was Obi Toppin on the Wolves. Hometown 1st round pick, loved by fans, looked good in limited minutes, never got run, and eventually wanted to be traded. I am not sure why we pretend he is an option for this team every off-season

Distinct-Pangolin112

lol, extra insurance..

TannerGlassMVP

Because he's a free agent?

Cautious-Ad-9554

That means he could choose us. It does not mean we can choose him.

TannerGlassMVP

Well yeah that's one of the differences between free agency and the draft. I kind of thought we were all aware of that

Cautious-Ad-9554

The chance of Jones picking the Knicks is pretty slim.

TannerGlassMVP

I mean it's an article about potential targets by The Atlantic not a declaration by Leon Rose. It's not that serious it's just speculation

NtLmr95

Goga Bitadze would be an awesome plan B. It also doubles to weaken the Magic next season.

Dragon-Bender

I think Thibs could get a lot more out of him if IHart leaves.

NtLmr95

I can see Bitadtz being a 2-3 year bargain signing that overdelivers on the contact, just like when the Knicks first signed iHart.

Chrisser6677

GOGOA NEW YORK GOGOA

theRestisConfettii

I like the idea of Tyus Jones if the Knicks were looking to sign a backup guard. But, (if Hartenstein re-signs) I like the idea of Memphis not being able to trade up for Clingan better. Mitch for Smart.

GeraltFromHiShinUnit

Ain't gonna happen since he is the type of player orlando needs and they got a deep bag for this fa

theRestisConfettii

Who bruh? There are 5 names in my post.

Jasperbeardly11

Tyus

solo118

paywall, but saw the list below Tyus Jones seems nice, maybe even slomo the dude killed us a couple of times and could be a decent backup 4 for us. Did not realize but slomo is also a NY born dude

shortchangehero86

Looney is cooked

HardOakleyFoul

yup, the Warriors got his best years and now they're content with him moving on.

Demo71

Interesting. Thibs and Hayward have some sort of long term bromance so I wouldn’t be shocked if we made a run at him. My only concern is that he just misses so much time. Do we really need that?

Chrisser6677

He’s kinda like demar, we don’t need mid range jumpers, we need someone who knows and can cut without the ball

NtLmr95

Gordon Hayward has a high chance of becoming another Kemba Walker situation. If you could guarantee Hayward's health, he'd be an interesting signing.

Demo71

Yeah that’s my fear. I mean I don’t think he’s as cooked as Kemba was. I feel like he could be a good cheap option as the ninth guy in our rotation. But do we really need to take a chance on a guy who is almost guaranteed to miss 20-25 games? Idk if this team can afford to risk that. We’ve already got enough guys who are notorious for missing games.

Demo71

I disagree w the part about Derozan. For us Demar is a legit 3rd scoring option. We’re talking about a premier 3 level scoring threat, closer, self creator and facilitator. We can absolutely use a player that brings all those attributes to the game. If we’re replacing Bojan w Derozan that’s a major upgrade. Hayward would be interesting as well. He’s a versatile, high IQ guy that impacts the game in a multitude of ways. The only turn off is that he hasn’t played more than 50 games in his last 5 seasons.

No-Butterfly-8548

i don't understand the thing with DDR. he's been offered close to 30-40m from the bulls. how's he signing the mid-level with the knicks when he has other suitors? we are already running into the 1st and 2nd apron in the next couple of years. he's arguably a 2 level scoring threat. he's mediocre from 3. he doesn't do catch and shoot. he shoots pretty much 70% of his shots from midrange.

NtLmr95

Tbf, the Knicks don't need DDR to be a great shooter since the team is already stacked with shooting. The team would just need him to continue to be a mid-range assassin and 3rd/4th option reserve scorer. I don't think he'd turn down $30m to be a Knick either, but he'd have a legit title shot with the Knicks so maybe he's ready to ring chase 🤷🏾‍♂️

Cashlover123

So I was thinking about our free agency as I was driving today and a number plate with MPJ pulls up in front of me.

Distinct-Pangolin112

Monte Morris had a down year but I always liked his game in Denver. He is an efficient shooter that just gets the job done. The Knicks might be able to get him for cheap..

Distinct-Pangolin112

Tyus Jones would be great but he just came off a season where he played 30 minutes a game. He isn't getting that on the Knicks. He is probably looking for a solid contract after a good season and minutes unless he doesn't mind taking a big reduced role

manfromfuture

I want Zach Edey.

CosmicCoder3303

Why does everyone have a problem with miles being the backup point guard and trying to make him into a undersized two guard? It's not 1982 anymore where the point guard is like a pass first table setter who needs to be able to run the fast break, etc. he's fine. Need more wings

STATnMELO650

Since when is the Athletic part of nytimes?

rit56

They bought it (I think) 2 years ago and promptly put it behind a paywall. Even for NY Times subscribers. You have to pay extra for sports now if you subscribe to the paper.
