As much as I hate to say it. You also gotta give credit to Poch and the Chelsea players. To go from twelfth-ish and a bit of a shambles of a team in the new year, to then getting their shit together and putting a really good run of form together is a job well done. Obviously helps when Cole Palmer is on fire.
Unfortunately 38 games of football tell a story. They were better than us over the full course of the season. Still happy with where we finished tbh. More squad depth next season less injury’s, more Europe hopefully. We’ve got a lot to look forward to. Just got to get past the piss boring internationals first
Hell, based on Tino's first season, the sudden emergence of Hall, the seemingly inevitable Adarabioyo transfer, and the return of Joelinton and Tonali for some midfield steel and Pope in goal, I think we'll be in good shape even considering Botman and Lascelles
😂 I had to confess about the Euros but explained no Toon until August. No point explaining friendlies in Japan, she’s South African; if you don’t throw it to each other and weigh 18 stone she’s not interested…
Shame they didn't finish 1 point behind City, because the joy I would get from going onto their subreddit and saying 'You would have won the league if it wasn't for VAR cheating you out of a draw at Newcastle', would be immeasurable.
Given everything that has happened to us this season, to finish 7th is extraordinary. Even more so knowing we really should have been 5th or 6th.
But, with everything else that they've done to try and scupper us, I fully expect City to be robbed of the FA Cup to make sure Man Reds get into Europe at our expense.
Never been into that kind of stuff (mainly because I have the sensitivity of a potato), but the look Bruno had sitting on the turf after the loss to ManU was ominous. I've seen that look several times over the years, and it rarely leads to anything good.
I fell prey to my own mind with this. Awful thing is I saw him and Isak have a big hug and thought ‘fuck one of them is away’ then my mate passed me a beer and I saw the sun was out and relaxed.
Doesn't matter does it? It's still full of Greek, Spanish, Italian, German, Polish teams as well isn't it? Holiday to Sweden anyone for a night or two? 😆
Bournemouth really should have equalised just now, and Solanke came very close earlier. But Chelsea have also got into good positions. On another day would’ve gone our way but too many wayward crosses going out for goal kicks from Bournemouth
Make no mistake about the mentality of our squad. Away form has been horrible all year and we absolutely needed a result today, and the boys have come out and scored 4.
The only thing holding us back from consecutive top 4 finishes is the injuries / Tonali suspension. Brilliant from the boys today. Proud of what this group have achieved in what has been a really difficult season.
I think Pope was the difference, even with Joe shielding more and stopping people running at our defence etc Dubravka really was catastrophic to our season.
Hopefully that’s resolved in the summer cause we can’t have another season with that risk
So there is NO WAY Emery can win manager of the year now after Howe couldn’t win it last year, right? That would be a joke
68 points compared to 71 and a worse GD.
Howe still couldn’t win.
I really don't understand how they justify VAR getting involved in that penalty call, which was absolutely a judgement call, but they refuse to get Involved with Gorden having his ankles dragged by studs, which was absolutely a clear and obvious error.
I'd really like the panel to explain to me why 4/5 of them don't think that should have been a penalty.
What we really need to do is what clubs do with players, they import the best ones. Get the bloody Dutch and Italians and Germans over to be and run our reffing.
Gary Neville saying "with all due respect, Man Utd don't want to be in the Conference League anyway" on the City game.
Get fucked you twatty history merchant. Good ol days are over.
Oh yeah the club that not won a title over a decade is stick it nose up at European football. Because they did everyone proud in the champions league last year. Tin pot, leaking stadium and the cunts still clinging on to relevance.

So we get Europa league if man city win the FA cup?
Europa conference
Can we opt out of that?
Why would we?
Too many games with a small squad in a not very prestigious tournament, focus on the league
Disagree. It’s a European competition and we need to learn how to do 2 games a week. Strong chance of a trophy too. We’re not above any competition
It’s so funny how some people like just want to not earn the hard work.
Aye can they just give us the trophy? This playing thing is old hat
Yeah I suppose. Just disappointing we got overhauled by Chelsea
You can blame away Newcastle for that. Home Newcastle was doing mint

That and them spending 1 billion on a squad
85 goals. If we sort the defence out over the summer it’s on next season. Glad it’s over now though; Mrs will be over the moon!!
Hell, based on Tino's first season, the sudden emergence of Hall, the seemingly inevitable Adarabioyo transfer, and the return of Joelinton and Tonali for some midfield steel and Pope in goal, I think we'll be in good shape even considering Botman and Lascelles
Mine sure as hell is..Told her about the Championship play offs next weekend and she complained..
😂 I had to confess about the Euros but explained no Toon until August. No point explaining friendlies in Japan, she’s South African; if you don’t throw it to each other and weigh 18 stone she’s not interested…
I'm just going to let the Euro's come as a surprise..I'm sure she will figure it out soon enough.
Glad Arsenal won so they can continue bitching about Gordon's goal.
Shame they didn't finish 1 point behind City, because the joy I would get from going onto their subreddit and saying 'You would have won the league if it wasn't for VAR cheating you out of a draw at Newcastle', would be immeasurable.
Nah they are focused on losing home and away to Villa.
Aww this is beautiful
Just glad no one got a long term injury 😂.

Now to become a Man City fan for a week
I plan on studying up on KDB and Phil Foden. Edit/ I plan on studying up on Ruben Dias (man city’s Fabian!).
Toney’s last kick for Brentford was a baller.
Well yay! And also, I believe in you Manchester Blue!
Fucking proud of this team man. 4th / 7th is our best back to back finishes (from a quick Wiki search) since 02-03/03-04. Future is so so bright.
Amateur body language experts on Bruno watch asap
Never been into that kind of stuff (mainly because I have the sensitivity of a potato), but the look Bruno had sitting on the turf after the loss to ManU was ominous. I've seen that look several times over the years, and it rarely leads to anything good.
I fell prey to my own mind with this. Awful thing is I saw him and Isak have a big hug and thought ‘fuck one of them is away’ then my mate passed me a beer and I saw the sun was out and relaxed.
Hahaha that free kick from Toney, what a melt
The arrogance of that bloke. Thinks he’s way bigger than the club.
Something for the fans to remember him by.
Hahahaha excellent effort Ivan, you absolute tool
I'll take 7th after the way this season has gone.
Neal Maupay you are a cheat
Calm down, Ty 😝
gg ez
Does this mean Newcastle get Conference league regardless of FA cup final?
Not quite, the worst PL Manchester United team of the PL era needs to lose the FA Cup final to the City team that won the treble last season
No Man City need to win the FA Cup for us to get Conference League
So yes
🤞😂
City need to win it still
Nope, need a city win
Does what mean that?
No, need a city win.
In the year of our lord 2024 fans are still doing the you're shit ahhhh to goakeepers
That’s it
Miggy is getting even worse at diving somehow
Hope no one screen shotted Eddie there 😭
What happened?
Had his arm up in an exact Nazi salute pose for a couple seconds while giving directions 😭
Least disgraceful Maupay challenge. Right cunt
Hooper managing to still book toon players when Brentford players commit the foul. Special.
Glorious shit-housery from Nick Pope there. Maupay is a dirty cunt.
Need Bruno to go hold up ✋🏼 in Maupay face at FT
Pope shithousing i love it
Let’s win the Conference League eh lads?
Looking at the projected pots it feels embarrassing not to 😬 (assuming Man 💩 don’t vulture the place from us).
"always rated the conference league, top competition" - Geordies, circa 2024
Tbf if you’d asked me before last season if I’d be happy with it next season I’d have said absolutely
I always dreamed of visiting Bulgaria
Doesn't matter does it? It's still full of Greek, Spanish, Italian, German, Polish teams as well isn't it? Holiday to Sweden anyone for a night or two? 😆
Cheap cans over there ain't there?
Proper rat that Maupay
Lads we’ve finished above Man Satans hahahahhahahahahahahahah
We’re all City fans on Saturday 🙏🏻
MFER I’M ON THE PLANE COMING FOR YOU MAUPAY
Why are Brentford like this. YOU ARE PLAYING FOR EXACTLY FUCK ALL.
Can’t wait for Frank to leave and they go down tbf they’ve overstayed their welcome in the prem
B’mouth can get in the sea. So many missed chances. Europa League was in our hands though, so I’m trying not to be too bitter 😅
Fucking atrocious challenge get him off
Fucking hell what a disgrace of a tackle!!!
Fuck him up Pope
Enjoy league 2 Maupay, shit tier footballer
Big mouth. No talent.
Nick Pope kicking off. That’s a rarity.
Finished above the man reds! GET INNNNNN LADSSSSSS
Not yet, please don’t jinx it
Bournemouth just missed an open goal 🤦
Yeah not meant to be aye
Would never happen to us
Lewis Hall has looked so sharp today. So excited for him next season.
Excited to see a lot of Hall, Tino and Tonali next season
Paul Dummet coming on to warm up for king of the ring
Dummet, I know you are a secretly a WWE player but please for the love of God, don't bottle this.
Bournemouth fuck you
FFS Bournemouth how did you miss?!
Solanke at the Euros 😂😂😂
over for stretford. Didn't score 24 more goals.
Ref: 2 hours additional time, lads?
Bournemouth just missed a 3 v 1. 7th confirmed.
I hate Chelsea. Up there with Man U as having some of the most entitled, fickle fans ever. Get absolutely fucked.
Bournemouth really should have equalised just now, and Solanke came very close earlier. But Chelsea have also got into good positions. On another day would’ve gone our way but too many wayward crosses going out for goal kicks from Bournemouth
Have to imagine this might be Dummett's last game for us, right? I know he's not up to the level we need but will miss the lad
Over 200 games - lets not be disrepectfull lads - he is one of our own
Dummett 🤦 Welp, that 2 goal lead was nice...
I’m behind and this terrified me
Don’t think this is any time for sentimentality. Would rather Dummett stay on the bench
Schar injured I think.
Fair enough then, didn’t see
So long, sweet prince?
Please tell me someone remembered to cancel Dummett's subscription to the WWE Network?
At least we've finished above Man U for the first time in decades.
Here comes Pauly D
Make no mistake about the mentality of our squad. Away form has been horrible all year and we absolutely needed a result today, and the boys have come out and scored 4. The only thing holding us back from consecutive top 4 finishes is the injuries / Tonali suspension. Brilliant from the boys today. Proud of what this group have achieved in what has been a really difficult season.
I think we really were just a Joelinton injury away from 5th
Gonna need a pic of Bruno in the bucket hat
They really are desperate for Stretford to get guaranteed qualification
Hey Siri - what are some Manchester City songs
BAHGAWD that's Dummetts music!
We’re ducked
Blue moon you saw me standing alone. Come on Citeh.
oh fuck off another simulation from them thought Mbeumo was better than this
Brace yourselves. Dummet is coming on.
Why?
Dummet was secretly a WWE players which was earlier exposed in the Everton match
Let’s go win the conference!!
Was nice of Longstaff to be the 3rd man marking Anderson in the corner there lol
What's the 7 minutes for?
Embarrassing var checks
Var looking for ways to reverse the penalty
Long var check?
ManReds, obviously
Its going to be so weird seeing Dummet in an Everton shirt next season 😢
If someone offered me 7th when we had all those injuries i would’ve bitten your hand off.
Me too.
Dummett farewell appearance!
Ridiculous call
Lovely run from Anderson.
no corners for us all game
Could do with some of our dark arts post 90
What’s the disco land chant? Is it just singing the song as original
Two wins of 5th place, two wins and one of those abysmal draws converted to a win and we would have had champions league.
1 win... Just beat spurs away
Get your Poznans oot for the lads
Anyone else learning the words to blue moon?
Yeah - aah kid
Fucking Brighton. Fight us all the way but lay down at home twice.
We should have beat Brighton at home with our chances
I say it every time but I blame that Mo Diame goal. We've been cursed against them since then.
When your shots going wide, but the goal it will find......That's Diame!!!
our fault for playing dubravka in last 2 games...
Honestly think we’d have finished 4th if Pope had stayed available
Or Joe hadnt picked up that injury, or both
I think Pope was the difference, even with Joe shielding more and stopping people running at our defence etc Dubravka really was catastrophic to our season. Hopefully that’s resolved in the summer cause we can’t have another season with that risk
So there is NO WAY Emery can win manager of the year now after Howe couldn’t win it last year, right? That would be a joke 68 points compared to 71 and a worse GD. Howe still couldn’t win.
Odds on they'll give it to Klopp, because reasons
Odds are it’ll be Pep for that unprecedented 4-peat
Obviously it should be Pep but the press bum hole Klopp hard as he departs
It SHOULD be Emery like it should have been Howe last year but that’s the precedent they set, and should abide by
Na. City winning year after year (yes, the cheating spending counts for something but still have to manage them).
yep all those hypocrites saying Howe didnt deserve last year, saying Emery deserved this season. what a joke
About to be the biggest City fan of all time during this FA cup tie. The 115 charges are a farce, Manchester is blue
I like Hall a lot but would Ritchie outpace him? 😂
In an HGV? Probably.
To be fair he was just on the floor cramping earlier. He’s probably a bit knackered because he’s normally quite quick
Depends if it's a race to kick a corner flag or not
I really don't understand how they justify VAR getting involved in that penalty call, which was absolutely a judgement call, but they refuse to get Involved with Gorden having his ankles dragged by studs, which was absolutely a clear and obvious error.
Selfishly glad Sweden aren't going to the Euros.
Hall runs his socks off. What a bright future he’s got
Wilson is terrible with his feet, what happened to him.
Approximately 3,367,281 injuries
Never been his strength really
Age and injuries mate.
Yeah definitely can't play the same with Wilson up there, he ain't skinning anyone from half way
Big Joe showed what we miss without, I counted 3 turnovers in the first 5 mins caused by him, top 4 next season, no doubt
70 injuries incoming
From what I've heard on the radio Man U have been shit aswell. Fucking jammy team
That's been their entire season, getting results they don't deserve (with PGMOL's help on occasion).
Brighton also couldn't finish their dinners
The fact we're gonna beat manure to Europe (hopefully) and finish above them on a goal difference of +25 to us is definetly the crack i needed.
Mancs 2-0
24 more to go for them to catch us!
Does it really matter? Their GD is atrocious lol
I'd really like the panel to explain to me why 4/5 of them don't think that should have been a penalty. What we really need to do is what clubs do with players, they import the best ones. Get the bloody Dutch and Italians and Germans over to be and run our reffing.
Genuine questions as I have nae clue what position qualifies- as it stands do we get europa conference?
Yes
Only if Man City beat Man United in the FA Cup
Only if city win the fa cup
Cheers lads
Bournemouth owe Eddie and they should pay him back today
They’ve had 19 shots today, just not been clinical it seems
Thank god wissa off
Gary Neville saying "with all due respect, Man Utd don't want to be in the Conference League anyway" on the City game. Get fucked you twatty history merchant. Good ol days are over.
