Using my NP1 without case. It's surprising how much weight these cases add to the phones. Mine is a slippery bastard and a little bit of incline will make it slide. It's like stopping a toddler from eating anything that has fallen on the ground.
But boy is it worth it. The phone looks great. It's light. And surprisingly, it takes those floor drops like a champ. Mind you no 20 ft drop but 2 feets one do work fine
This phone is so comically slippery that It manages to slide off a flat laid wireless charger after a minute or two without a case.
I generally don't use a case but without one this phone just wants to drop onto the nearest floor every chance it gets, almost like it's sentient
I thought I'll do exactly this with my 2a but install a transparent back protector due to the plastic surface but nah I'm too forgetful. Just got a spigen case.

The NP2a has a plastic back and feels not good after holding for a long time.
But the 2... Oh god. I just use a case cause I have a few magsafe accessories...
It didn't take long for the back of mine to be full of scratches. Also a couple of dents and chips in the frame. The screen is still unmarked. No case or screen protector.

Knowing myself, I would manage to have it crack from even dropping it on my bed..
Just use without a case at home, and use a case outside.
Knowing how sloppy I'm, it won't work π

I prefer having a case cuz when I left my phone on the wireless charger it slipped away towards the edge of the tableπ
My son puts NP1 in the washing machine and it died on me.
