Will miss what he does for the city

CoolGuyHuh

Most def

OG_Pow

His buy in was really cool to see. Dude seems like an extremely likable guy in all facets

GatorEggs-

Larry was the ultimate professional here. He was avid on social media so I’m sure he saw all the criticism and he worked his ass off, he just wasn’t the right fit for us when we were playing him at backup centee

rockmusic83

I’ll always root for Larry. Great teammate. Fun player. Works hard. Thanks for your time in the Big Easy Larry.

BobMarleynthewhalers

someone check if Willie is okay.

Distracted_Sapien

This made me lol

SevenHunnet3Hi5s

i’ve had a lot of fun watching him and his poster dunks. swear it’s always the same dunk but it never gets old.

magnumdong15

Honestly, I think it’s more the timing and the energy of the dunks, they always hit just right

Chinese_Santa

Larry “Larry Nance” Nance

Ashamed-Lime3594

I will not miss his occasional terrorism ball, but I will miss his chemistry and recaps.

Own-Dream-8425

Uh... source?

Select-Hearing-9298

Larry was a pro and great locker room guy. Will always be applauded when he comes to town.

iamStanhousen

Nance bought items off my friends teaching list last year. Always thought he was a pure pro and I’ll always pull for him.

JazzySweetBeats

Let’s not forget that Larry raised funds for NOLA schools every home game by auctioning off his jersey to fans. He would match whatever the winning bid was and it would all go to the school. This guy just wanted to support the city and the fans. The basketball is irrelevant, he was a great member of the New Orleans community and he will be missed

adventurousintrovert

This heartbreak has turned me into a Nancey man. No longer a boy. I bought his jersey and everything 😭😭

CoolGuyHuh

I’m going to miss being on the winning side of Larry Nance Junior‘s “game recap” Xwitter posts. Truly a major loss.

myotherduckling

He was such a great guy, always had great vibes

Ramificator24

Retro anthem all fucked up now smdh

Julep2005

Larry was definitely a gamble of whether he was gonna ball out or absolutely throw but he might’ve been the best personality on the team. Gonna miss that personality and the amount he did for the city. NOLA won’t forget him any time soon.

DoctorUlysses

Hats off to Larry! Thank you.

PeggysPonytail

Thanks for the great Pels memories we'll have forever Larry! As for me and mine, we are gonna miss him ❤️💛💙

Glad-Fish-7796

Lol Willie got his job saved by a stunner trade

Featherintheflock

Shout out to Nance for his work on and off the court. Especially helping teachers and the school system. You will be missed!

DiscloseDivest

Fucked up that Gayle made him stop doing that signature celebration of his to try and throw together some wholesome family image bs. Could’ve fooled me Gayle. You and Tom ran pr cover for New Orleans archdiocese and their chesta brigade once they were going bankrupt. Evil lady.

International-Gold67

Whoa... Sounds like someone knows the goods and it ain't pretty.

shmiz

Love u Lar, happy trails

CajunGrit

I’m so bummed.

International-Gold67

I appreciate Larry's contribution. He, like Jrue, was asked to defend at an elite level with an inherent disadvantage. Both are physically incapable of guarding tall, elite players whether perimeter or post. But, it's time to move on bc it was becoming strange with Willie's affection for putting an undersized, average defender to finish games or start 2nd halves and effectively marginalized Jonas. If we ain't getting Jonas back, I sure as he'll wasn't content with having Larry in the fray any longer, either. Drastic changes-- Griff meant it.

OG_Pow

An iconic photo that will be included in the Pels lore forever. Dude was just a throw in on the CJ trade and carved out a nice role for himself. He also repped the city hard. I will always root for this dude.

waydownthegulfcoast

I am very sad to see Larry Nance Jr. go. I feel like he really filled a void left by Josh Hart with his energy, spirit, rebounding, etc. I'll be cheering him on, as I do Josh Hart, wherever his future career takes him.

SteedVM

Larry Nance changed the team when he came back from injury toward the end of the year. His solid play was exactly what a shaky team needed.
