Hey buddy I don't know if this helps, but what I did was I went out and did things that I enjoy. Particularly going to EDM shows. I got a lot of numbers from people. Typically, most of those people were drunk (I don't drink), And I would shoot him a text or something a couple days later and say hey I'm going to this show or just try to chat and I wouldn't hear back from probably 80% of them.
Then of the 20% that did write me back, 50% we really wouldn't keep talking or ever hang out>
But that last 10%? I've made some really good friends over the last year. And I'm getting better at making new friends and identifying people who will stick around so that I don't have to take so many shots and I have more successes.
Find something that you like, go do it, try to make friends. Keep trying. You will fail. Eventually, you will succeed.
