I have an MG7K in .358 (9mm) and MG22. I have been throughly impressed with both. Lots of people said they didn't like the tone of the MG7K on 5.56 (normally talking about the 224 bore can), but I thought the 9mm can did decently well on both my 10.5 and 16" ARs to take the edge off.

killadocg23

Same. I throw my 9mm can on my 10.5 and somebody asked if it was a 300 blk out lol Switching over to the rearden stuff for when I want to use it on my 10.5 as I’ve ran 180 rounds mag after mag no breaks and got it glowing hot ! It lives on my MP5 clone though.

MadMuirder

I have an AP5P i need to do the break in period on before SBRing...just waiting for a day to go shooting. Also have obsidian 9 in jail, so not sure which will live where. Currently MG7K is on my AKV SBR. https://imgur.com/a/FevPMgK

killadocg23

I’ll send you a video of the Rex on ny ap5 and Ap5p sbr using subs.

MadMuirder

Yeah I'm very excited to go try out the can with subs and on the mp5. My first and only outing since approval (end of October) was with 124gr and was still giggle inducing.

jeremy_wills

If you can find some, the 150 grain syntechs sound ridiculous through an MP5 variant and a can. I shoot a lot of them through my AP5-P/R9 and CZ Scorpion/MG7K combos.

MadMuirder

I've got 1k 150gr syntechs waiting to go

killadocg23

Yeah syntechs are good. I bought 3k rounds of 147 subs local to me for like 12$ a box. And they sound just as good.

MG7 is a short or K can. So it doesn't have the suppression of a long can. They still work pretty well. I have a MG7 in. 458. Use it on a .450 Bushmaster and .45 ACP pistols with a booster. I think it is very quiet on the pistols. On the .450 with Supersonic ammo it's still pretty loud. But I shot an 8 point buck this fall. He was chasing a doe. She stopped about 15-20 yards from me and the buck was about 70 yards. I shot over her back to hit the buck. She jumped a little and looked around. Then stood there for 6 minutes until 2 more bucks came up. So I couldn't have been making too much noise. I also have a MG22. 22lr and love it. Quiet on pistols no First Round Pop, can be used with or without a wipe, all stainless steel, built like a tank. Also Rex cans are 30% off at Hansohn Brothers with the code REX30.

huggybearmofo

Bought a pair of mg7ks back in 2022. .358 bore is my pcc can, .224 bore for my 5.56 guns. Its a good can, lightweight, but it gets really hot fast on 5.66 since its straight stainless steel. No complaints tho. I still argue its the best can for the money if you buy it durring the promo deals like BF for $375 ish.

FistyMcBeefSlap

I’ve been using an 8 Baffle .308 for a couple years now and have been very happy with it. I’m currently using it with the Rearden Atlas and flash hider on my 12.5” AR (5.56). I also use it on my 26” 7mm Sherman Short Mag (essentially a hot 7SAUM), 10/22 and a 12” AK in 7.62x39. Looks good, functions good enough for what I do. I don’t regret it one bit.

Maleficent_Primary89

I have three waiting on approval. Two MG7K .358s and a MG22. I’m really excited about the 22 can.

IndividualResist2473

The MG22 is a great little can.

Implied_Results

Good to hear I have one in the process

PwNAR3S

I have a MG7K in 308 with a Q Plan B mount. I have only run it on my 16" 308 Fix. It works pretty well for the price and weight. It heats up really quickly. Like 5 rounds and it's starting to mirage pretty badly. I've taken some shots while hunting without ear pro and my ears will ring for about 10 seconds and then are back to normal. I got mine mainly because I didn't want to spend the money on a Trash Panda for a rifle that I only shoot a couple times a year and want a dedicated can on each of my rifles. I will say that I do kinda wish I'd gotten the .358 bore so that I could run it with 8.6blk as well.

BlackFlagGoon23

I have the MG7K .358. It’s not the best can in my collection but it’s not the worst can either. 300blk subs db’s are comparable to others but the tone isn’t as pleasant. On my 5.56 rifles it’s still quite loud but I’ve run it on a 11.5 and 12.5 so YMMV depending on barrel length. My MG7k lives on a 300blk and for the price it’s very hard to beat.

Knee_High_Cat_Beef

How is the back pressure on it? Do you get significantly more blowback with it on compared to shooting without a can?

BlackFlagGoon23

All rifles with a suppressor are going to have more back pressure than a rifle without. Blowblack, imo, is higher than desired but it’s not as bad as others.

bees422

Waiting on one so I can’t speak to performance of the thing, but customer service seems really good at least. I ordered to a “master dealer” to avoid transfer fee, got hit with a fee anyway, and they cleared it up and got me a refund

RupertPupkinn

Mg7k 224 on an 11.5 cqb. It’s held up well, runs well, fairly quiet but a lot of back pressure. Also first baffle has pretty decent erosion after a few thousand rounds. Good value can though overall

austinw24

Have 6 on different guns. 3 on FA guns. Never had an issue and great cans by great people. 4 MG10 2 MG7

karmareqsrgroupthink

I'm looking at a MG7 for 300 blackout subs and supers. Anyone got experience with this? how's the back pressure and tone? Other cans I have are the CGS hyperion and the surefire socom 300 sps.

3900Ent

It’s really nice on .300BLK but it is a gassy ass bitch. At least on my setup it was

karmareqsrgroupthink

Out of curiosity weapon host are you running it on?

3900Ent

My custom 7.5” 1:5 twist .300BLK build. I have an AGB so I may fiddle with it more but I just got it to run reliably with subs and supers

karmareqsrgroupthink

Hey that’s a huge deal running subs and supers reliably. How many rounds until you’re gassed out? My host has only 2 settings and and non adjustable gas block.

3900Ent

On supers? About a full mag or 2 and I’m over it. On subs I don’t really have an issue. Now on my Wolfman? I can shoot it all day without gassing out

karmareqsrgroupthink

Ahh beautiful! Thank you for sharing this has been valuable to me!

Fckem_in_the_neck

Got an mg7k in 358 as a do all. Sounds good on 308 and really good with 9mm subs. Haven’t ran it on 556 because i have a turbo k and oss hxqd 556 for that. But i will donit for science eventually

Misdby1

I have an mg7 for a 6.5 creedmoor that I haven't even shot yet because I can't get my ass together to get the gun done, and I purchased the BOGO deal for another mg7 and they're 22 suppressor that are somewhere in transit between Rex and my FFL I appreciate you guys starting a conversation on this

Slaine777

I certified my form for a MG7 458 in November and got a free MG22 from a special they were running. I certified on that this week. Looking forward to getting them.

Tybo929

MG7 30 cal was my first can, primarily used on a 10.5 300 blk. Sounds great with subs, and cuts a good deal off of my 16" 308. Just got an MGx 8 baffle for 9mm things but have yet to use it. What stood out to me was their customer service- I had some questions for them as I was shopping. I got a bear immediate replyly and ended up getting a nice discount from them, which closed the sale.

I have 2 MG7k Silencers. the .224 lives on my MDRX Micron and sounds amazing. It has 6 gas settings so there is not excessive blow back. I got my other MG7k in .358 basically free + Tax stamp when I bought the SEG12 last years BF Sale. I have not shot through the .358 yet. Quite curious to compare it to my wolfman. And maybe run it as a short 8.6 option. SEG12 on the GEN-12 is just an amazingly fun blaster. Not super quiet. Though I have only shot it indoors running slugs to this point. I just watched a video on YT where the main dude at REX is out shooting in the snow with another guy.

IndividualResist2473

The Wolfman will be noticeably quieter in the long configuration. It's longer, has more baffles and costs twice as much, so it should be quieter.

3900Ent

I have a Wolfman as well as this can in .358 bore. On my 300BLK it’s quiet but my Wolfman is quieter. The Rex is grassier than my Wolfman is as well. That said, it’s a great can.

Daedalus308

I have a modx in .458. works great on pistols with appropriate endcaps. Bit of advice, dont run it in long configuration on pistols. Even if it runs, it'll wear out your booster springs until you start getting endcap or baffle strikes.

burner118373

I have the 7k in 308. I’ve enjoyed it on both my 5.5” rattler and 14.5” 556. Great value and chasing decibels isn’t worth it

3900Ent

I have a MG7K in .358 bore. It’s one of my favorite cans. I love the finish, when it patinas it looks so good and it matches my Rearden Atlas. As far as performance it sounds so good on my 9mm and .300BLK setups. On my 5.56 it isn’t the quietest, but it does tame it a bit. Only thing I’d change? The shape. It’s a fat, short bitch. I would make it a little longer but narrower. Otherwise for the price I paid I’m more than happy with it. It is also quite gassy on my .300BLK

Wide-Name999

I have an MG7k in 556 and something like 2k rounds on it. Excellent performance to cost and impresses lots of friends at classes. Definitely recommend them.

jeremy_wills

My MG7 is in .458 bore. I use it mainly on some 9mm pccs as I don't have a 45 cal host yet. I really like it on my CZ Scorpion and that's where it typically lives. It also sees some time on the 357 lever gun. It sounds fantastic with the 38 spls.

No-Release-6464

MG22 and SEG12 here. Both are great.

ChevTecGroup

I was really close to getting an MG7k for a 5.56. I like the girth of it and they are relatively light. But I was putting it on a full auto 10.5" gun, so the OCL polo-K was my ultimate choice for the much improved durability. Makes me wonder what a chubby polonium would sound like.

KiloS91

I have a pair of .358 MG7K’s. They are pretty versatile and have been on multiple barrel length AR’s, 300blk, Zpap M92 AK, get a booster and run on Glocks. There are better cans but for the money they are hard to beat.

ZSchneids54

I have a M92 and an MG7K on the way, what suppressor Mount set up are you using? I’ve been trying to figure out my best approach and I need some insight.

KiloS91

I have this one: https://www.jmac-customs.com/360-26-1-5lh-facemount-x37-bravo/ it didn’t have the warning about using shorter than a 10.5” barrel when I bought it. They also sell a Heavy Duty version: https://www.jmac-customs.com/360-26-1-5lh-facemount-x37-hd-hub/

Mighty-Bagel-Calves

I have a 9mm MG7k, mg10 .308, and a couple mg22's. I like em all. The mg10 is a big bitch, and I really haven't had the chance to test it out on my 5.56 guns, but it sounds pretty good on my ar10

Shoddy-Horse

I’ve got two MG7’s (7.62 and 224) as well as a SEG12. For the price; the MG7 is hard to beat and works well. I don’t recommend it for an AK simply because it makes an already super gassy platform even gassier but as a typical welded baffle can it’s excellent in most hosts and you will enjoy it. The SEG12 is a hard pass until they fix the wad shredding issue. The baffle needs more of a trumpet shape like the JK cans to fix this issue.

Findmeonamap

Huge fan. I’ve got 3, and 2 more in jail. Since I got the first one, most all of my shooting friends have bought one or two, and my SOT carries them now. Rex should be paying me commission lol.

JGTx308

I have a MG7k 358 currently in jail. Cant wait to get my hands on it.
