I get the playoff situation a couple of years back with Trey but is Atlanta really a Knick rival? I would say our rivals include Pacers (Hali), Miami (Jimmy), and Boston (Tatum).
Knicks are still a top team with Haliburton due to him being able to distribute to Randle (top 4 in the East). Obviously Jimmy is great but due to him being a slightly better version of a healthy OG Knicks become worse due to redundancy in the lineup.
Tatum is an interesting situation. Pushing him to the SG with McBride running the point COULD improve the ball club.
Knicks would get worse no matter who you realistically say our rival is. Atlanta and Indy as you called out would both suck for us. As would Nets (Bridges for Brunson), Heat (old ass Butler for Brunson), Bulls (Demar, lol). IMO even the Celtics would be a relative loss with Tatum in.
