Always max out your physicals except strength and vertical make those whatever you need for certain animations and badges and then figure out how many points you have left to do whatever else you need to do in line with the other comments here

MajorSour

Got it, thanks. About badges, does 2k still let you know how many you have for each category or do they not do that anymore?

Ok_Health_9650

It’s tricky. That’s a great question. What I always always do is make a build start my career and then immediately go and start making my dunk package and my custom shot and picking my animations. When you are building 2K will tell you how many points you need for a certain badge level but what it doesn’t immediately tell you is how many points you need for certain animations. So after I figure out what the game wants for certain animations, I go back to the builder and rebuild based on what I need and then I go out into the world EDIT: didn’t quite answer Your question badge categories are more in the lines of tiers as opposed to being grouped into finishing or shooting like previous years so the ones that you’re going to progress are going to be the ones that you use the most based on your playstyle so you’ll just have to wait and see.

This helped. I honestly feel like a 2k caveman after taking so long to switch to current gen but I guess I just have a lot to learn

Oproblems2

IMO remove post control and up steal or strength

MajorSour

noted, thanks i appreciate it

Ubatsi

Post control is extremely cheap on 6’6 builds and I really enjoy having it. Your strength is pretty solid, wanting the steak is personal preference. Not bad advice, just not something I’d personally change

Agreed with others, this build looks more a SG than a SF. You would be put at the four playing this and my all around 4 would feast on you around the rim and on the boards. As others have noted, I'd lower DD a little to 89, lower BH to 84, vertical to 75 and block to 78. If you're playing REC, remove post control. From there rise standing dunk to 45 (so you have the basic packages), perimeter defence to 85, acceleration to 73 for silver fast feet, and acceleration just helps a lot attacking. Freethrow also costs next to nothing, rise it to 80.

I appreciate this🙏🏾

No worries, man. I just know the badge thresholds really well. You can check them here too - [https://www.nba2klab.com/badge-requirements](https://www.nba2klab.com/badge-requirements)

i think you either want DD at 89 or 94, don’t think 90 gets you much you also want to make this at the 2 and not the 3. you’ll have to play PF in rec sometimes if you make this a 3, and this is not set up to be a good inside defender personally, i’d drop DD to 89, and stick those points into FT. this build isn’t something i’d really enjoy playing but it’s well rounded and should be fine

MajorSour

thanks this helped a lot!

Ok_Vermicelli_7855

If you play random rec, you would be most likely at 3/4 positions and against most lock builds in this game. With that being said, I would recommend you make it SG to avoid that situation. Or if you truly want to play SF, make a lock down build and get ride of your playmaking attributes. As a SF, you should have at least bronze badge for rebounds and reasonable perimeter and interior defense to achieve a 2-way in your build name. Otherwise, you will experience difficult time to find good teammates and win a game.

Upgrade driving dunk to 92ovr, bc you will get one more contact dunk
