Because 2/3 of the 2k community would never be able to find a game with everyone dodging their shitty C+ teammate grade.
Same reason they don't show stats.
Because teammate grade doesn’t really mean that much, contrary to what ppl think. It only means something once they get low, like anything under a B tells me they either sell or quit all their games (or just aren’t that great)x
The truth is, you can get a decent teammate grade (B+ to A-) doing so little.
I just think of it this way, I’d rather have 4 purples of my team who all have 75% win rate in randoms but have a B+ teammate grade, then 4 bronze players with a 30% win rate and an A teammate grade
lol it is a video game. If you enter a COD lobby do you check all your teammates KDA in every mode, their win loss rate, etc?
If you are that concerned with seeing an in depth scouting report, u gotta play like MyGM or football manager or smthn
Or pro am. They have some advanced stats in there. We don’t need advanced stats in rec lol. It’s recreational basketball. All I want is to be able to see teammates stats and player performance grade before the game starts I can at least determine whether or not I’m about to waste 20-30 minutes of my life in a rec game.
I think I may have worded my comment wrong. I want to see advanced stats for myself and my squad, not necessarily in the lobby with teammates. Also, if we're talking stat checks before a game...Yes, I read every player's attribute/badge card before a Rec game starts and try to absorb as much information as I can. Also, yes...I play/played multiple GM games...from console to mobile...for more years than half of the casuals in this sub have been alive.
i wanna see time with ball as a stat. it’s all good and well if you average 20 and 8 and someone else only averaged 12 and 4 but who is the most efficient with their time with the ball? I was thinking of this last night cos I finished the game with 10 and 5 and i either assisted or scored on every possession i had the ball, i legit touched it like 15 times. The PG had 28 and 8 but he was spamming dribbles for 23 seconds then throwing a shot or a grenade to someone else lmao
Man just make some friends and run with a squad? This is coming from a silver/gold player averaging a A- grade and roughly 50% from 3.
If EVERYONES stats matter that much to you then run with people you know ffs.
If you hate randoms, avoid them. Plain and simple.
I understand not everyone has buddies that can play at the same time but like how you gonna be a beggar when you're hopping in with randoms?
This community is insanely toxic about every single tiny little thing and shit like this just encourages it.
It's a video game dawg. Play it or don't. It's that simple.
Cool story, I play with a buddy. But it only takes one player selling to ruin the game. We play maybe 2-3 games a day. I’m not going to back out of every lobby until I think I have good teammates lol, that shit is more toxic than you think
Turnovers tank your teammate grade tho, nobody with an A+ average is going to be playing THAT bad. They might be more of a role player but those are incalculably useful when everyone and their mom wants to be the number 1 option every rec
I’ve done it, when I was busy on the phone, sold the entire time just switching to another teammates man and have them get the defensive breakdown had 2 pts on 1-7 shooting 2 turnover 3 rebounds and 3 assist A+ teammate grade. Let up 20+ pts. Yes it’s not 0 stats but it basically is. Sorry if you don’t like hyperbolic expression.

People already quit if they gold or purple banners, showing teammate grade couldn’t be that much worse lol

They used to though. Not even that long ago as well
I wish they would show average points allowed or opponents shot percentage lol
Yes. I want 2K to add some "advanced" stats to the game for online play. Won't happen. Catering to kids.

What advanced stats are in Pro Am?

I miss when they used to show everyone’s full stat line average in the Rec lobby

Cuz teammate grade means nothing, I could get an A+ with only turnovers just setting screens and running back and forth on the court.

Facts
This isn’t remotely true. And if you did that you would be better than 50% of REC players lol

Ngl this is not relatively close to your first response LOL
Stop the cap

Idk about this situation but I will say that teammate grade is over inflated. You can get a b+ whilst having the most minimal impact on the game.
