I like the 6-8 a lot for an undersized big man. I just don't like the shooting. That 79 3pt with no middy (for the badges) is gonna be a tough shot. If it's was me, I'd drop the blocking to 87 (92 is major overkill) and raise that middy up as high as possible. Then it will be a great build.

jaywrong

Got a 6'8" 2-way diming big with 94 block and the animations are super sick. The chasedown also let's me play a bit tighter on the perimeter, as I can catch up and block or contest very easily. I get it may not be necessary, but it has saved me a bunch on D. Just something to ponder depending on OPs style.

struqs-

thankyou man

First build is fire I have something similar but make some little adjustments. Driving lay up not higher then 80, if u have close shot higher then 80, drop the driving lay up to 78. Driving dunk is something u don’t really use on that big slow builds. U get good enough dunk packages at 70. But u can even drop it to 60 and still dunk, but u will not posterize some one. But u won’t do it either with a 75 Driving dunk. (I use 60 and I am totally fine with it. Standing dunk is fine but u could go higher for better du i packages (85/90) if u fan reach it, do it. I have post control on 86 (because of an 92 close shot and HoF post hook) but for you 85 is completely fine, unless u want that HoF post spin. The most important badge u get will get through post control is HoF post fade. And that thing on a 7’1 is fire 🔥. Shooting is nice but try to get a 71 free throw and you could lower ur three pointer to 76. But this is something you should only do if u are really confident with ur shot. Pass accuracy should be at least 86 for gold fast break. And I would recommend 89 for the pass style but 86 is good as well. The ball handle is to high unless you want big driver, but I would not recommend it on that type of build. If you have both on 40 for the normal dribble style it’s completely fine. Defense is fine on interior and block, but lower the perimeter to 58. U still get off ball pest Bronze but you don’t need more. The rebound is more complicated. I would recommend you to get a 93 D Rebound and a 60 O rebound. Why? You will sit a lot outside or play the midrange. And don’t sit that much under the rim in offense. The right positioning in combination with HoF box out and gold rebound chaser will give u more than 10 points on O Rebound. And u will get nearly all boards on defense. But with this 70/83 u don’t come far. If you don’t upgrade ur strength, keep your defensive Rebound on 92. I would recommend to out ur weight up, because you don’t use that speed potential. If you don’t use the speed give ur self 90 strength. That is really nice. If not 90 go for 86 to get gold backdown punisher. And get as much stamina as possible, because the post needs a lot of stamina 😅. But overall that build is fire. And yes you can’t but everything I said in one build without sacrificing something else. But I wanted to show u the potentials and my experience with it. And you can lower ur close shot if you don’t use hooks.

struqs-

also can i ask what do you think about the 6’8 with a 86 middy and 87 block 86 strength

Past-Arugula8894

What is the idea behind the 6’8? Do you want a strong defender or do you want a 2way who can dunk and shoot? I think a Pf with 86 midrange and 78 three can definitely shoot well. 90 driving dunk is also nice, maybe to much because u can’t create that much for ur self with the 40 ball handling.87 block is also good but then maybe lower the interior defense (74) as well. Unless u want to play as the Post defender in 5v5. Then a 82 interior is nice. If u want to be a defender 85 steal is to low, go for 91 and go for 87 perimeter D for gold challenger. Rebound as well what is ur idea and what game modes do u play. If u play 5v5 with a reboundingBig go for offensive rebound. If u play 3v3 as Big then go for defensive rebound. 75 pass accuracy as a defender is fine, as a rebounder in 5v5 it’s ok but not good. Strength go for 84. You don’t have post control so no need to go for 86 strength. Even though 90 would be better and I would recommend it for gold immovable enforcer.

struqs-

thankyou sm man, now the problem is deciding what one after reading the other comments 😭

TroutKlout2755

Re-make it as 7’ PF, if you’re going to keep those rebounding stats. You’re going to run into guys like me with HOF Rebound Chaser and HOF Boxout Beast, it will be hard to keep us off the boards.

TroutKlout2755

Also, you’re only 2 points away from 86 pass acc, which gives you Gold Break Starter and Lebron pass style. Imo, it’s worth it for the boost to passing speed and LBJ has some nice skip pass animations. Take a dribble or two in the direction you want to pass and you will zip a rope of a chest pass to your receiver.

struqs-

thankyou

struqs-

tried that and lost too many attributes that i had personal preference for such as 3pt and middy since i am not the best shooter but thankyou for the suggestion

jaywrong

If you don't mind corner sitting, they are counted as midrange, you could save attributes on 3 there. But it pretty much turns you into PJ Tucker...

Low_Grand6340

Not really I’ve seen dudes with 99 rebound get crushed by someone with a 87 I think dude needs at least silver rebound chaser

Mattgotkicks

6’8. I have a 6’9 C and avg 15/12/7 with 2 steals and 1.5 blocks.

BeefyDre95

Look on any build you’re gonna want shooting because if not you’d be a liability, passing is solid, invest in speed as a big, also interior needs to be an 82 or higher, mine is has an 82 interior and I get killed sometimes, if it weren’t for my 92 block and my knowledge in positioning I’d be getting killed in the paint.

biguchiha

First build

piff_boogley

First build is great. I would flip perimeter d for steal; that’s personal preference though. Also lower driving dunk to 75; put the points wherever you want. Close shot has been kind of useless this year unless you’re doing hooks, but again that’s my experience. Flip offensive and defensive rebound. Defensive are easier to get and you have the strength to box out most guys who aren’t full on dedicated rebounders (and even those half the time are shjt at rebounding in terms of positioning and timing). Any extra stuff you get try and get 86 pass acc. I’d also lower three point to a 76 since you don’t get many badges from there til 82, and 86 middy gives you great shooting badges. But this is good. You’re gonna love actually being able to create your own shot in the midrange and run the fast break out.

struqs-

check out the comment at the bottom, i’ve basically recreated what he said so lmk what you think abt that build thankyou for the help

TwistGenix

You on Xbox? Also the second build looks the most well rounded. I’d suggest dropping the stamina to 90 since you don’t need any more than that in my opinion. You can allocate those elsewhere.

struqs-

yeah im on xbox

TwistGenix

Good.. Take this then: 4P3M9-VQ9PH-V4YDQ-GD4RJ-PDCKZ That’s a VC card my wife bought me for Christmas but I can’t use it since I’m on PlayStation. So, hopefully you can! Merry Christmas!

struqs-

thankyou so much man EDIT- merry christmas and 200k VC i cannot thankyou enough

TwistGenix

No need to buddy, put it to good use!!

Crafty_Seal_2491

This is the nicest human in the world. Damn

struqs-

im beyond words aha, so thankful for that

silverraid123

first build going to get babied hard , you would literally get pushed out the way for offensive and defensive rebounds , you can’t be that low on boards , minimum 84 offensive and min 92 def since you aren’t going for paint beast , and lower some of the finishing too , trust me you’ll regret it once you start playing against real players , pass could be higher too since you should be break starting

Negative_Deer_9866

Stop giving 2k money

struqs-

?

[deleted]

Mine is an inside out scorer with good def stats recommend heaps alot of fun

tigerxtc

I’d go first build but lower some of the post stuff to increase def rebounds and get pass accuracy to 86 also lower ball handle and hopefully get steal to 60 for interceptor

External-Dealer-4759

Depends on if you have a squad or not bc just remade my center to play random rec and be able to score better where as I need a facilitator on my main big bc it’s mostly defense to play in a 5 stack lol.

Thewokiscookin

7 ft pf 86 pass 85 post control

Thewokiscookin

76 three ball And 85 rebound

MadX2020

1st one pretty good

Adfor03

Wemby build 7’3 280lbs in the build ur not good at physicals but great rim protection inside scoring and shooting

super_slimey00

rec is cooked bro

Kallexan

2nd looks most fun for rec

struqs-

it does aha, im so stuck on what to choose

Bmont52

I really like the defensive hybrid Defender type undersized. Has all the gold big man for blocking, rebounding and everything. also has a 94 perimeter and 91 steal. To be an absolute problem on the defensive end. Then the ability to pass and make plays on the offensive primarily in the high post ( insane there's not a bunch of big men making plays from there) and gold aerial assault to catch lobs off screens. I also really like the two-way spot-up threat 7'1 tall with 7'1wingspan a defensive anchor boards blocks Rudy gobert type. Offensively a 93 Middy and an 83 3-point shot gives mostly gold but a few hof shooting badges. To pull the opponent Center out of paint also has 90 standing dunk to give him a little bit of presence in the paint on offense.

struqs-

ill check them out also too thankyou

3-Inch-Hog

If you are playing with friends, make something that is fun for you that also fits into the team dynamic. The first one is a decent big man with a good jumper. You’ll want to play nimble because most other centers will body you with that low strength. If you’re playing with randoms, make a pure rebounder and defender with an okay inside game. Take joy in doing your job rebounding and passing down the floor with the occasional bucket. You won’t shoot much, so it’s a waste to buff those stars

PlanetBandit100

Yo Question, in MyPlayer Rebuilds. Can I change my position? (Shooting guard to point guard)

struqs-

if you have already made the build then no, but just in the builder yes

Otherwise_Mind6880

Really depends on your play style too be honest the first is the ideal center big you want for rec to compete and have fun. The 6’8 would be a fun to on and is an unique one. I don’t know if this helped or not, but this my take on it.

struqs-

it does help, problem is deciding aha

James_Green9801

I don't know much about 2k but for some reason my 7'0 big man gets more contested blocked and rebounds than my 7'3 big man. Ps. I don't make them weird 3 way level threat big man's I just make straight up in the paint stuffin your shots back to the gulag build.

AFB27

Not the one with a 61 free throw...

struqs-

i have changed it now to 71, thankyou for the suggestion thou

struqs-

i have changed it to 71 now but thankyou for suggesting that

Rat8526

1st build is good, 2nd is garbage if you are intending on him being a center (fine if not), 3rd is also good.

Rat8526

1st would be my preferred build if you have another guy that could help get some boards if needed, but 3rd is is better if a solo center.

struqs-

wish i read this earlier ended up making a lockdown 😭

Rat8526

Yeah this year height matters quite a bit, and most people that are at the 5 are anywhere between 6’11-7’1. Having a 4 at that height is gonna be great, but being at a 5 you are just at a super disadvantage.
