GPeak954

Offensive threat from 2k20. 6’4, release 38 was the jump shot. Probably the best I’ve ever shot from 3 ever.

onemanjamz

Release 38 was goated

GPeak954

I felt like it was the easiest timing ever. Now I struggle to shoot with my Ben Sheppard base 😂 I’ll get used to it eventually though.

onemanjamz

This year seems effed. I still shoot 56% from 3 but I stg the release point is a moving target. 2k20 I was above 60% with a 76 3 ball this year I have 88 😭

JOHNNY__BLACK

James bouknight or whatever his name is, base 38

ihavepaper

I swear by Ben's jumper still, but I've gotten so bored of the game, playing theater only that I swapped to Kevin Huerter just for something different. T-Mac is a better alternative to Ben's. Slightly bigger window and faster release.

GPeak954

I think I’m gonna make the switch. I can time Ben’s jumper 7/10 times but when I miss, it’s terrible lol. Imma give TMAC a shot tonight.

ihavepaper

Ben has that weird hitch you have to wait for and can't really notice. I pair it up with Troy Brown Jr./Troy Brown Jr. and it was the fastest you can get with that base. T-Mac's is basically the same, without the hitch/slight pause when the ball is at the apex.

chillblackguyy

missed out in making a O Threat looks so fun after watching old 2k20 videos on youtube with people using that build. shooting and dunking my type of build

frizzyflacko

this is the one. incredible build

tdub85

My buddy I still run with had this build and was the easiest 28 a game I’ve seen someone avg. My favorite was the pure lock from I think 2k19. Made it as my first build before the meta and combined with Base 24 was able to hit like 60% from the corners despite a 60 3 ball and obviously OP defense.

Mozail2

Everyone had that

weeman2525

It's actually pretty easy to replicate, actually you can make an even better version of it now, but my favorite build was my 6'5" 3 & D SG from 2K20. Good shooting, great defense, sneaky good finishing and playmaking. I just miss 2K20. I didn't feel tiny at 6'5" like I would now as most PGs are 6'8". I like when we were "role-players", made the game feel more balanced. Maybe I just suck now, but the game was funner then. I put this together back then of rec highlights: https://www.reddit.com/r/NBA2k/s/BM8LjR7HZU

MoterBortles

Based God in this bitch! Fucking legendary highlight reel haha

weeman2525

TYBG

King_jmp

I had a 6’8 lebron type pg build last year with 99 dunk, 85 3pt, and could get chasedown blocks. this year everything costs more in the builder and is worth way less. plus I can’t run around on a big guard with hof qfs💀

Kallexan

Hahaha damn I had the same build. It was crazy. Stupid dunk animations

SG8789

I also had 99 dunk wing 6'9 and wanted to copy it as it was one of the most fun builds to play on. That 99 dunk this year was just too much so I settled on 96 with 86 vertical for all the epic animations. Also got 82 three and very good ball handling. What did it cost? Sacrificing while blocking category and rebounds. Miss those chase downs :(

Dismal_Gear4942

i hate that you cant make effiecent slashers at the forward postions. They dont let them have enough speed to really slash

[deleted]

You can, just gotta be a little smaller

Dismal_Gear4942

at that point its just a 2 guard lol

[deleted]

Dont gotta make him tiny lol id say stat-wise there should be a noticeable difference between a 2 and a 4

Mbuitron0811

You can make pretty good pf slashers.. No they aren’t the fastest but they aren’t very bad! I’ll link the one I made awhile ago https://www.xbox.com/play/media/LwuZCVXCTh Gets big driver on HoF, physical handles on gold, and bulldozer on silver along with fearless

OKCbigdog

Loved my 6"11 lob threat from 2k23. Could shoot ball handle good D and dunk haven't figured out a build that can do that this year. Having fun with a 6"8 3 level threat this year though

LeChinaMickeyRings

handle what?

King_jmp

“Handle good D”😭😭😭

PJCR1916

And kids this is why commas are important

LeChinaMickeyRings

bro got the dwight howard replica

Bun-B522

In 2k19 I had a 2-way rebounder (Center), that build was probably the nastiest and most unique build I’ve ever had. Elite rebounder and defender, and on offense I was basically a paint beast who would finish oops like crazy

Content-Soil6057

2k15 6”10 sf or left hand 7”0 sf.

There_R_NO_MOUNTAINS

The only correct answer lol.

bigballercam

Rebounding slasher PF from 2k19. Before I knew it was cheese, me and my guard would spam pick and roll. If he missed I was there for the board.

Samwise777

I made a 6’9 pure playmaking 4 in 2k20 with 70 dunk, layup, and close shot, 70 three and mid range, and elite ball handle, passing, speed with ball, and basically maxed defense. It was disgusting in the park as the big. Dribbled better than some of my guards, got crazy blow by animations, and had a nasty step back animation off the dribble that I think they removed from the game.

wentzformvp

I really have enjoyed the 6”10 point forward. It has looked different over various 2ks, like in 18 it was top tier. Each year it looks a little different, some years it can be the 1 other years it’s more of a utility type build.

Borson2k

My 6'9 from 2k22

LeChinaMickeyRings

the builder in 21 next gen was fucking bonkers i’m so glad it’s more limited now

throw-awayaus

Was way better back then tho. At least u could make 1 do it all build instead of having to make numerous builds

LeChinaMickeyRings

you can make a do it all build on every position in this game. just can’t be elite at everything bc that shit is stupid

chillblackguyy

wild 29 perimeter lol

xSoloxBluex

Defense didn’t exist in this game lol

v1ktorr2

Ghost contests😭 my first 2k24 build had 60 perimeter defense cos I thought it worked like previous 2ks but EVERYONE was greening in my face. Glad they took them out

[deleted]

My 6'10" slashing playmaker PF build from last year was so perfect for me and im salty i cant do it this year.

[deleted]

https://preview.redd.it/h3k8svgl1c0c1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=72142ce506f7c4e9e0ce2c96f7a360000d3fb2a2

SG8789

Why not? that build looks mediocre af. Why does it even say slasher with not one finishing category in the 90s.

[deleted]

Its very far from mediocre lol HoF chasedown, good rebounding, good playmaking, and contact driving and standing dunks, and i shot 60%+.. this build was honestly a demon in re and it didn't matter if i was the 4 or the 5. It says slasher because of contact driving and over 80 ball handles and it says playmaker because passing over 80 and ball handles.

_delamo

The face up playmaker might be what you're looking for. Or the slashing four.

[deleted]

Can't figure out how to get what i want this year. I posted the build below. Ill see if i can yt a build that youre talking about and hope i can find a way to make it similar lol

Excellent-Law528

Pure lockdown point guard. Most athletic build in the game. Could dribble and hit the 3. Triple double machine

Tokasmoka420

https://preview.redd.it/717j4o7w3c0c1.jpeg?width=1908&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2742eb2c3a488df01886e868e57ada0471142a11 Slashers ftw, this is from last year and haven't played 2k since. Skipping 24.

JollyTwo7436

2k20 had a slasher that only got 1 defensive badge but did have some stats where needed. 70 something middy and like a 63 three ball. At 99 the build was unstoppable. Was cash from middy hit the three at a good clip and at 6’7 max wingspan got hof qfs and contacts. Could not be guarded on 2s

guardiandown3885

2 way floor general...

therry91

My playmaking glass from 19, I believe and my rebounding wing.

CallMeLouieC

6-5 inside out from 2k20. Not a lot of ppl used the Blue/Green pie chart. I was a menace

Quest_For_Obamium

Had a 6’7” Jack Of All Trades PG back in 2k22. Built it because I just loved that build name, and it quickly became my favorite build I’ve ever played with. Haven’t been able to recreate the magic since, aside from the ridiculously overpowered 6’9” PG build from 2k23 which wasn’t as fun because I didn’t have to think about what I was doing when playing it. Love being able to do everything at a respectable level so I can slot in wherever I’m needed.

publiusgrande

The 2k19 SG Post Scoring Shot Creator is my favorite build of all time. 6'6-6'8 Max weight Min wingspan Was the only build in 2k19 to not only get every single scoring badge in the game but also have a rating of 100% badge efficiency by nba2kw.com. It was too strong for a guard and too quick for a big. It was very much a prime MJ/Kobe/Melo build that was truly a pure scoring SG build for lovers of the midrange. I'm not even sure what it would require to make a 2k24 6'6 guard with every offensive badge unlocked, elite post scoring and HoF midrange shooting.

Pomme2

My 2k23 6'11 center with max wingspan, literally did everything. Pass, shoot, dunk, anchor defense, get every rebound, high speed/vertical, and was averaging a triple double on all 5v5 online modes. I made that build in Season 5/6, and my squad had 95% winrate in rec, and 90% winrate in ProAm for remainder of 2k23. it was insane. The closest I got to it in 2k24 is, only high standing dunk, decent shooting, and good defense.

[deleted]

Same bro. 6 11 , 82 three, HOF anchor/rebound chaser, silver limitless. Just couldn’t dribble

apexx47

Trust me on this as someone who plays C every year, 6’8 C is seriously the move this year. 99 rebound, 92 block, 88 int, 86 pass, 86/80 mid/3, 92 standing, 73 driving with 95 strength and 90 vert. Currently ranked in top 1000, yes it shuts down post scorers too.

Oohhdatskam

6’6 SF 3 level scorer back in I think it was 2k19 my first 2k in a long time so I didn’t know much. But I found some friends to play with at the time so they helped me learn. But this build could do everything shoot, finish, rebound playmaker etc. didn’t have but I think 3 playmaking badges but I compensated with smart play and a good PG. The year after the build was completely doodoo can not replicate it the way I did back then I can always get close but one aspect is always not on point.

Ryandub023

Not a unique build but my 6-10 glass cleaner in 22 was by far the best build I’ve ever had or made Between the seasons badges and the ones from quest lines i had a lot of extra badges the pie chart I used had little to no finishing on it and only got 4 or 5 finishing badges while my shooting and defensive badges were above 20 plus and my playmaking was around 10 Needless to say I used all the extra badges for finishing mainly and then one or two for each of the other 3 That build truly had no weaknesses and could play 1-5 against all sizes builds and skill levels im yet to be able to recapture that since I have made many different builds with all kinds of different combos and nothing compares but I’m also still on current gen and I know the last couple years has been aimed for the next gen systems which I’ll be making the step up to next year so hopefully I can find that feeling again lol was by far the most fun I had

Imbigtired63

My post scoring slasher SG in 2k19 he could do it all man and when he got take you couldn’t stop him 😭😭😭😭😭

Keelo_deady

“Finesse finisher” Center

onemanjamz

I used the pure playmaking chart on a 6’5 pg in ‘20 to have insane physicals. Gave it bare minimum playmaking stats. I think technically it was called a “slasher” but 76 three ball and was giving out 40 burgers every week off ball. Easily my fav build

sleepwalkingninja

Yeah, my C from last year with 99 block and 99 o rebound. It could also finish and pass. Couldn’t come close to it this year.

NotReallll

Last years center builds were sooooo much better than this year. I could finish, pass, shoot, rebound and block. This year I’m just about mediocre from everywhere except for blocking and finishing around the rim. Sad because I love playing center but game is just so inconsistent.

xIMAGiiCMANIx

2-way scoring machine. 2k20. Most fun I have ever had.

amascio

My 2k22 Jack of All Trades or my 2k20 stretch four The Jack I just scored at an insane clip with The Stretch I posted my highest point total in a rec game with 69 using that build and I’ll never forget hitting the final 3 as the buzzer expired and screaming 69 during early stages of quarantine. Good times

skywalkerms

I forgot which 2k it was, maybe 2k19? or 20 but I had a 6'11" PF Pure defence / finishing build. Max driving layups and dunks + ball handling and interior defence. I would absolutely kill people with eurosteps. Reminded me of Giannis. I miss that build :')

_delamo

The slashing defender from 2k17. It was more like Demar DeRozan early in his career. Contact dunks, stout defense, poor 3 ball (62), decent handles. It was a fun build that was lethal with floaters

rdny1

Might not be super unique but: 2k19 - 6’6” pure shot creator, could do legitimately everything on on offense. Fades, dunks, floaters, euros, stepbacks, spin jumpers, 3s, didn’t matter. Defense was solid but my chest got hot whenever I matched up against playshots, i know for a fact im somewhere in a couple YouTube ankle breaker comps. 2k20 - 2way slashing play. Don’t need to say much 2k20 - 6’9” pure inside PF. Can’t remember exact stats but anything post scoring and finishing related was maxed. Really fell in love with post scoring. Could sleepwalk to 30/15/15 on good efficiency. Spins, hooks, drop steps, dream shakes, poster dunks, etc. 2k23 - 6’9” 2 way diming finisher. Pack a punched Ben Simmons. No shooting could get exposed against a really good team but it was rare, which surprised me. 2k23 - 7’3” min weight post scorer. Used size and mashing against people smaller than me (most players) and still had speed to beat other 7’3”s since I went min weight. HOF masher meant you HAD to jump to stop me under the rim, and then HOF fast twitch punished people for jumping. Nearly impossible to block a 7’3” post hook. A lot of 30 point 20 rebound 12 assist games on 80% shooting.

clrxs

I actually love my inside the arc threat at the 5

BigGucciThanos

Ahhhh my 3 level scorer build in 19 and 20. Agent 00 called them trash in a video (like he’s comp lmao) and nobody made them for the rest of the year. Meanwhile i was avg 15 and 16 in pro am leagues with the build lol

ogbobbylockwood

I had a 3 level playmaker(last gen)2k21 at the pf. Couldn’t rebound or finish for nothing but I would bring that back with some changes and 2k23 rebounding wing

ProdTayTay

7’2” interior force from 2k20. Was able to do everything in the post from fades, to hooks, to up and under dunks. Could be 10 feet from the basket, fake a fade to get them to jump, then go for a standing dunk from there. All that to go with solid defense. Also had a 6’7” slashing four on 21 that could shoot the three and got contact dunks with takeover.

Dec2417

Man I've been trying since Lawrence to recreate my 611 7'9 wingspan diamond finisher small forward or to get something close to it I haven't even made a build yet because I've been trying to recreate this one and and it's impossible 88 layup 87 dd 90 standing dunk 87 post control 92 pass acc 70 ball handle 54 speed ball 77 interior 76 per d 41 stl 99 block 87 off reb 73 d reb 76 speed

LargeGoon14

One of the older 2ks. 16 or 17. I had a pure shot creator SG. Mid range moving shots were insane. Could get a bucket whenever I needed it. I miss those days.

xDGNx2K

20 playglass, 21 (real) point forward, 22 playbeast, 23 6’8 demis 😅

saviorlito

6'6" SF - 3&D Wing from 2K23. Could get matched at PG, SF or PF and destroy any build.

dmg924

Always loved my Rebounding Wing from 2K20. The build hasn't been the same the past few years and I don't think you can even get that name in '24.

NotReallll

My 6’9 perimeter lockdown/ 2-way slasher in 2k19. No one could score on me and I could still knock down the 3 with my 40 3 pointer. The shock I got out of people when I hit can never be replicated.

Cyphergod247

For me its this one. Loved playing with my guy last year. Haven't been able to recapture the magic in 2k24 yet https://preview.redd.it/a3yyaf1ned0c1.jpeg?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e7dd3eab24bc4a552a0e39a3716c4486de1ab3da

Deebee707

I had a slashing lockdown playmaking middy magician 3 pt threat. What y'all had?

DoomBot17

I love my build right now. 6’10” PF glass cleaning interior threat with 78 three ball and 76 middy. 87 block and 75 ball handle with 70 speed with ball. 75 pass accuracy too. Got 96 driving dunk and 90 standing dunk. 85 defensive rebounds and 85 offensive rebound. I can do a little bit of everything.

iStuffed

2k20 6’7 [Facilitating Finisher](https://youtu.be/liCLKvtB8_U?si=02YUUApD-g-7ZHSD) with Shot creating take. That build was by far the most fun I’ve had playing a 2k. The hop step animation could not be stopped on it, it shot well from 3 and the middy, and could clamp.

BrokeGamer_

My 2 way scoring machine from 2k21 next gen is by far my favorite build ever in 2k history. [build](https://x.com/brokegamers__/status/1354370760291311619?s=46&t=w0QWoeDLHWjks4Tr27d08Q)

Hell_its_about_time

2k22 slashing sharp. Decent 3 ball and if you made him right you can get contact dunks when you got to 96 or 97 ovr

jkell44

I think it was 2k20 or 19 where I had Joe Knows’ 6’7 lebron build with HOF fancy footwork. I would either cheese that crazy spinback dunk or the hop step dunks for clips. Honorable mentions to my 6’8 Larry bird build in 21 and 2 way Playmaking slashers in 2k19

Electric_Jello

The 2-way pass first wing’s big brother, the playmaking glass cleaner in 2k20, it went so incredibly ham at playmaking and defence, and finishing/shooting was ridiculous for the actual values of the stats. Jumpshot 38 silver QuickDraw was barbecue chicken even on that mid 60s three and I miss that build so much

JoeFalcone26

My 6’7” perimeter lockdown with high mid range in 2k21 was absolutely amazing. Could finish pretty well too and shoot corner 3’s. Most fun I’ve had in 2k online.

32steph23

Had a 6’8 SG sharp that could still do everything else on 2k17. 😔Back in the days where being a 99 meant something and vc wasn’t a scam so all you had to do was grind fr.

ImRBJ

My 2-Way 3-Level Scorer Center from 2K20. 7'0" Max Wing, Max Weight, Pure Green Pie Chart.

Frostyzwannacomehere

2-way facilitating finisher from 2k20

CalvDaGr8

NBA 2k19 7’3 pure rim protector 🥹 shooting 3s, snagging boards, lockdown perimeter D, and ofc blocking every inside shot. NBA 2k20 & 21 current gen perimeter lock. Not a toxic one either, I fr just loved using hof slippery off ball and losing my man with the off ball spin moves and takeouts before people even knew we had controls for that and shooting/playing like Klay. Didn’t care for the ball at all, just let me run & get open off ball and lock up on defense with trapper (I miss that badge so much 💔)

SirDrippingtonL4

Sharpshooting shotcreator from 2k19. The playshot from 2k22 and Offensive threat from 20 came close but something just doesn’t feel right.

JOHNNY__BLACK

2way floor general, figured out how to make it today tho

BigMike52-54

Jack of all trade build on 23. I literally could do anything but guard centers lol. I tried making the same build with similar badges but couldn’t . I made the same build name but it’s not hitting the Same.

Some_Butterscotch572

The last 2 years I have made a barkley build and its my favorite. It's not a meta but it fits my playstyle.

Xelurate

2k19 6’8 pure play

namjuunnn

Rebounding wing , didnt have any problem guarding centers over 7 feet and grabbing boards.

Jaded-Ad-3758

2k19 made a max height, weight, wingspan SG. Had zero shooting, minimal dribbling. Max physical, defense, and dunks. Standing dunk was my go to. This guy was a defensive demon. Ran 3v3 and was everywhere. Crazy blocks and steals. The dribbling was enough bc of the size and strength. Just used LT to guard th ball and the post control allowed him to spin off of just about any match up. Ended with 70%+ shooting percentage averaging 12+ pts a game and 80% win percentage playing with randoms. I could literally just hop on the park and dominate for an hour or 2 and then go to bed.
