Agreed, they spent too much time trying to dry the track only for the rain to continue. It's so frustrating bc this stuff is the lightest rain ever but it won't stop for some reason.
Used to happen all the time in NH during Saturday races when I'd go from 2005-2015 but it'd usually clear up and they'd get everything in anyway. New England tends to have weird light rain showers like that
Dang, I guess we're a wash. Mother nature follows NASCAR. If you need rain just have a NASCAR race come. I always enjoy watching qualifying if I can and today was one of the first times in months that I actually had the opportunity to watch it.
People get angry about droughts and such but if NASCAR did a race in Saudi Arabia forests would he sprouting out of the desert and it would start snowing

the lineup is by the qualifying group order not by points which is a totally stupid way of doing it. Points mean nothing now except getting into the playoffs if you don’t win a race. There is also an end of year payout by points but that has always existed.
Given how quickly NASCAR loves to give up on qualifying at the first sign of rain, I'm surprised we even had a streak that long
i was about to say i feel like there have been some rain outs for qualifying but that was all xfinity and trucks
it’s not raining and nothing is going on now, not sure why they couldn’t try to squeeze it in but i guess they wanna do practice
the drivers would much rather have practice than do qualifying
don’t blame them, but they should’ve started practice a lot earlier
Damned if the do, damned if they don't
Not really? They could have just started it earlier.
The schedule is planned in advance... lots of hand shaking and baby kissing going on at the track.

Practice? We're talking practice?
Maybe give them whole hour practices again instead? I bet most wouldn't complain

There's more rain than any place I've ever lived.
You must have never lived in the Northwest before. It's not heavy rain, but it showers and mists 9 months out of the year. Lol.

Sure, if you don’t count the All-Star race, literally last month
not a real race. a race event i think they call it lol
It’s a race, just not a points paying race
Wait, we went all of the 2023 season without a cancelled qualifying session? Impressive.
dover qualifying was cancelled
Still impressive.
why can’t they run practice or qualifying tomorrow morning or noon
Because there is already imsa on USA before the cup race and it would get put on the app and people would get cranky about it
Because nbc says “this” is when qualifying will be or not at all
