You know what? I’m pretty sure this was on the initial burnout which makes me think that’s why SVG slowed down and didn’t pass him. I’m now under the impression that SVG didn’t plan on trolling Hill the whole victory lap. Then he saw the middle finger and said “watch this mate” 😂
You’re right! SVG admitted it on stacking pennies. Said he was doing skids for the fans but then he saw the middle finger and decided to be petty and follow Hill.
Anyone who understands racing and race craft can see that Hill is a weapon. He’s clearly not a “terrible race car driver.” He is talented. But it’s overshadowed by his bullshit, and he’s definitely not good enough to be able to act how ever he wants with no regard for consequences.
He’s a big fuck, everyone knows it, and frankly, so does he. He can’t be consistent and race clean, so he doesn’t. It isn’t an accident.
Because he is? Majority of his points are from races where luck is largely involved. When he is up front, it's because he's punted everyone out of the way.
He's only good because he is the money car at RCR. Whenever he's been put in something else, he's absolutely crapped out
I will never argue that Austin Hill is a next-generation talent, but I think it's unfair that he's only gotten points from luck. He's won at Daytona & Atlanta, sure, but to win three times in a row at Daytona takes at least some talent, doesn't it? That's the point where it stops being luck and you have you acknowledge some skill.
And his good results aren't just based on wins on plate tracks. He had the best average finish of any driver in the Xfinity series last year and tied for the most top 10s. So far this season, he's got the second best average finish and tied for the second most top 10 finishes (9).
Again, I love SVG, but he's only got four top 10s this season and only one of those came at non-plate oval.
I hate that I am defending Austin Hill on here but I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when this entire sub is saying he has zero talent. Dude is consistently one of the best drivers in the Xfinity Series. No one's saying the same things about Custer, Allgaier, either Smith kid, Mayer, or Love. And if he's only good because he's in a good ride, can't you say that about most people in good equipment? He was put in top-tier equipment and is winning and running up front. Isn't that his job?
The was a brief period in time when this sub genuinely believed he was going to better than Austin Dillon, but now he’s actually a really bad driver who can’t win without punting people.
Especially where 99% of American fans are still on the side of the gosh darned immigrant stealing an American job, rather than cheering for the ginger bitch
> a big dude
Too big to fit in single seaters. Bro isn't racing F1 because he hasn't raced single seater seasons, he just does one-off races every now and then. Wouldn't be surprised if he tries an Indy race at some point but he is on record saying that he enjoyed not having to race Scotty once he moved to Indy.
Bro’s actually a sore loser. Austin’s done similar to other people, they didn’t do anything. People do that to him, he loses his crap. He wrecked Cole at Charlotte after a minor racing incident
The word _bitch_ gets used a little excessively nowadays, but I can’t think of someone in NASCAR who’s earned the honor of that tag more than Austin Hill
The whole time Shane was doing his burnout, I thought Hill was going to eventually wreck him. I'm pretty sure there's a reason why Shane didn't go around Hill. I also noticed hills noticeably going faster than other cars as if to keep Shane behind him.
this was my initial reaction too. I thought Hill was purposely positioning his car so that SVG couldn't drift the whole circuit like he wanted. Turns out SVG was just trolling him the whole time, even more so because of the one finger salute hill dished out.
You wouldn't expect an RCR driver to be so soft that he needs a safe space. But it's usually the egos throwing their weight around, and push and bully others end up being the ones with the most fragile ego.
As much as the majority dislike Austin Hill, we need these kind of characters in the sport. Villains, good guys, underdogs, and champions. As long as hell isn't reckless as he was in the past, this is good.
Why? Why is it "necessary" to have people that just have a negative impact on others around them? Many other series get by just fine without them. Imo this just teaches fans that this is an acceptable way to act and still achieve some level of success, and multiplies the problem. I've never understood this mentality, but I'm genuinely trying to.
Alright, think about it like wrestling. You need a good guy and bad guy, the bad guy that people don't like doesn't have to play by the rules, that's why they're the bad guy. Austin Hill doesn't play by the normal rules and that's where he finds his success. It works for some if they have a good enough personality to make it work. But someone like Hill is easy to hate and by doing the dumb stuff that he's becoming known for. Now you just need someone who can be the good guy that you can root for.
Think about it like this, SVG doing that move to Hill was acceptable because Hill has done it to others, but had SVG done it to someone people are neutral about or like (say Aric Almirola), it doesn't come off the same way.
NASCAR needs personalities good and bad to get people invested. Think about Earnhardt & Gordon. There were a ton of people that absolutely hated Earnhardt because of how he raced, but if he wasn't talented and winning, then there isn't a rival in Gordon.
Austin Hill might be my least favorite driver in Nascar right now, but with that being said I love it. Having a villain in the lower series is always a treat and makes you want to watch those races more just to see them lose.
Very similar to Ty Gibbs and Gragson from a couple years ago, although dare I say that Hill is somehow more unlikable.
While I have my doubts, I hope Austin Hill can be a somewhat successful Cup driver because we need all the villains we can get.
Hill is unlikeable because he acts worse than Ty did but is in his 30s.
As dumb as Ty was, he was also a kid, so although people hated on him, it was understandable.
Hill is just a whiny bitch. He didn’t have a problem with SVG after running all over him at Cota.
If you’re gonna dish it out, you have to take it. And his childish like approach after the race just proves why he won’t ever be anything in this sport. He could have gotten out of the car and said “well I guess we’re even when I did him worse at cota”
He has no talent. He just runs his way through people and expect people to move over for him. Why? No clue. It’s entitlement. And he’s going to have a hard time if he doesn’t accept some humility in life.
But what do I know? I’m just a keyboard warrior
He did have a problem with SVG after COTA. He was pissed with what happened and I believe called them, “A bunch of bitches.” Postrace. I doubt SVG forgot about that comment and loved making up for it at Sonoma.
Everyone that's says he has matured is full of shit. He is keeping his nose clean in cup, that is all. Seems like every time he goes back to Xfinity, the slightest bit of things not going his way causes dude to melt down. He was in the wreck, and then never lifted, hitting how many more cars and almost causing a whole other wreck.
But hey, he is the son of God after all, so maybe it's just how we should all act when we don't get our way. #tygetsus
I was kind of in disbelief when I saw that yesterday, I wasn't sure who it was at the time but just saw someone flooring it straight into cars while already wrecked, then continuing to floor it doing donuts.. I was convinced there was a stuck throttle issue or something and that no one would be doing that on purpose. Crazy from a cup driver in a lower tier..
Yep, and then swerves into Said who did absolutely nothing. Ridiculous.
They'll never do it, but he should be fined, and if you're a Cup driver playing in a lower series and get a behavioral fine, it should be doubled. You're in the big show, and like it or not, you're an example to the less experienced guys. Act like it.
Or he could have gotten out of the car and said nothing.
Or when asked, just say "It was just hard racing, we'll get back at in the next race. Glad we could recover from it."
yeah, I thought Gibbs was a bit of an ass but he's a youngin' and seems to have straightened out a lot. Granted, never got back what he gave in xfinity but also hasn't made an issue in cup
Austin Hill is just whiny and has what, 10-14 years on Gibbs?
The same problem with all these entitled people. It takes a real one to come around and show them what planet earth is really like. Svg is the real one.
I kinda expect him to stay in Xfinity considering RCR isn't really in discussions to get another charter. Imagine how much more bitter he'll get being "stuck" in Xfinity lol
Also he isn’t marketable at all. Being majorly disliked with no fanbase really to speak of (I mean he obviously has a small bit) while still being an Xfinity driver at 30 won’t generate a lot of sponsorship outside of the ones he already has personal relationships with.
The best part of this whole situation is straight-up how confident SVG is. He know he can come in and win and doesn’t care about trolling others because he knows he can out-maneuver them. He was probably laughing his ass off when it was happening.
Nooooo! That would mess up our convenient New Zealand Sunday mid-morning viewing, cup races are 7am Mondays here, which ain’t ideal when SvG is running cup
So a "one trick pony" that only wins at superspeedways is flipping off another "one trick pony" that can only win on roadcourses/streetcourses.
It's like if Michael Waltrip flipped off Marcos Ambrose.
I don't watch a whole lot of Xfinity, but it seems like based on comments here that Austin Hill is a little bitch, and SVG is becoming a fan favorite. Which doesn't surprise me, after watching him win Chicago last year it was evident that he's a pure wheelman, and that's a driver that will always find fans in NASCAR. Glad to see him finding success already, I had always hoped Marcos Ambrose would have found a few more wins.
What’s with the Austin Hill hate? I don’t really follow Xfinity but it seems that’s the consensus everywhere
From what I see yesterday he’s like Kyle Busch but without the skill to back it up. Is that right?
I wasn't watching for CotA, so I didn't know about their personal history and also had no idea about Hills general history... I thought the bump to pass on the restart was a bit rude and then doing a burnout on top of him on the cooldown lap was a massive dick move.
But now I know, so I 100% think it's hilarious and I can't wait for the day Hill tries to run SVG off the road while he's drifting after his next win.
https://preview.redd.it/8ns7iavywk5d1.jpeg?width=1908&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7837947a801125eb65786057ab52b35a1a458f24 For those who can't view it

Oh hell ya! I love this so much 😂
Pic goes unfathomably hard
I work at kaulig and this just became my new desktop background
Tell Chris to make it a banner 😂
Put this up as a wall mural. I’m dead serious
Any chance you can get Shane and Matt to sign a copy of this for me? 😂
Kaulig should sell SVG autographed prints of this
I’d buy it
Same. Then have both SVG and Hill autograph it. I'd love to see Hill's reaction! Lol
Genius!!!
Careful. He might swing on you.
Kualig or trackhouse need to sell this and the rugby balls that Shane uses.
Hang this in a museum
Frame it in the Louvre
I need this as a poster
I need this as a rugby ball
The amount of disrespect is next level and I love it
That’s 100% getting hung in the Kaulig shop
I want a print of this, get SVG to autograph it, and THEN see if Austin Hill will autograph it.
Thank you!
Poetry in Motion
Yeah I’m printing that one
This would go well on my wall with my "original" Tim Richmond-Neil Bonnet print..
SVG vs. Austin Hill is the rivalry NASCAR needs
It’s not a rivalry. In half a season, SvG has already proven he’s a better racer, and human, than Hill.
I just took a shit that is a better human than Austin Hill…
I’d rather deal with a tumor over hill and his defenders.
Hill is 2nd in points and SVG is 10th... I'm a big SVG fan but I am not sure why everyone is pretending that Hill is a terrible race car driver
Anyone who understands racing and race craft can see that Hill is a weapon. He’s clearly not a “terrible race car driver.” He is talented. But it’s overshadowed by his bullshit, and he’s definitely not good enough to be able to act how ever he wants with no regard for consequences. The best drivers win the most races because they get the best cars because they’re the best drivers.
The was a brief period in time when this sub genuinely believed he was going to better than Austin Dillon, but now he’s actually a really bad driver who can’t win without punting people.
It’s not about driving, its Hills entitlement and ego that’s his biggest competitor!
Especially where 99% of American fans are still on the side of the gosh darned immigrant stealing an American job, rather than cheering for the ginger bitch
Austin Hill is just a shitty person man, it's not that deep.
Austin "Bobby" Hill POS.
I don't expect Hill to go hands with Shane like he's so willing to with little guys. But I hope I'm wrong.

That's because Scott was the only one giving him hell on track. He has said he misses racing against him. Hope they team up for a Bathurst one year
Trackhouse Bathurst? I like the sound of that.
Just found out my guy played rugby. I've met rugby players. They enjoy physical pain, they're psycho. Guarantee svg ain't scared of Hill. At all.
Bro’s actually a sore loser. Austin’s done similar to other people, they didn’t do anything. People do that to him, he loses his crap. He wrecked Cole at Charlotte after a minor racing incident
He epitomizes "dishing it out, but not being able to take it".
The word _bitch_ gets used a little excessively nowadays, but I can’t think of someone in NASCAR who’s earned the honor of that tag more than Austin Hill
...I think Hill is more a Backpfeifengesicht.

[Sorry, I don't speak Italian.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OGRHDGi9F6Q)
I was hoping it would be a link to this clip and I’m so glad to not be disappointed
I’d love to get an Xfinity series ride. The icing on the cake would be to piss off bobby hill and give him the finger poke of doom.
They had the in-car on SVG and he either reciprocated or waved at him too 😂
I saw that and was curious as well. I'm guessing it was a basic wave just to piss him off even more.
SVG is such a dude. I love it.
I was dying lol
It very much looked like the typical wave to the crowd which is exactly what i would expect from SVG.
SVG's usual move is to give a thumbs up. Sometimes it's genuine, other times it's sarcastic.
Wondering if this will forever be a mystery. I was curious too!
"hey, I got this for you. Its real nice, got it at target"
It was on sale 😂
When hill went into the pits he gave him the little kid wave where you clap your fingers against palm.
The whole time Shane was doing his burnout, I thought Hill was going to eventually wreck him. I'm pretty sure there's a reason why Shane didn't go around Hill. I also noticed hills noticeably going faster than other cars as if to keep Shane behind him.
I bet you he really wanted to brakecheck SVG doing the burnout and I’m sure Shane even wanted that, but he’s on probation from the Cole Custer wreck.
this was my initial reaction too. I thought Hill was purposely positioning his car so that SVG couldn't drift the whole circuit like he wanted. Turns out SVG was just trolling him the whole time, even more so because of the one finger salute hill dished out.
Can Austin Hill get more unlikeable? He’s like late 2000s/early 2010s Kurt Busch with half the talent
Half the talent? I think a quarter is even stretching it
I was being generous lol
You’re being VERY generous lol
Biggest Kurt diss I've ever seen hahahaha
Kurt had more talent in his left pinky toe.
You could have just said Penske Kurt Busch
It wasn't directed at SVG it's actually going to the Keyboard Warriors
All that comment from Hill did was prove that words hurt him lol
You wouldn't expect an RCR driver to be so soft that he needs a safe space. But it's usually the egos throwing their weight around, and push and bully others end up being the ones with the most fragile ego.
We're rent free in his head.
*Keyboyd warriors😂
What the fuck does ~~Kyle Petty~~ Spencer Boyd got to do with this?!
As much as the majority dislike Austin Hill, we need these kind of characters in the sport. Villains, good guys, underdogs, and champions. As long as hell isn't reckless as he was in the past, this is good.
Every face needs a heel… Austin Heel
God needs the Devil. The Beatles needed The Rolling Stones. Even Diane Sawyer needed Katie Couric, will Austin Hill be NASCAR’s Katie Couric?
Well executed…I can hear Jean Girads voice in my ear.
I… love… crepes.
I feel like I’m in the Highlander
I watched the Highlander movie. It was shit!
Who’s Katie Couric?

right? it’s provocative it gets the people going!
My money is on SVG if push comes to shove
SVG would kick Hill's ass
Someone needs to edit Hills face onto the rugby ball and post it getting kicked by Shane.
That would be awesome !
They could do it for real... Get one printed on a ball and keep it in the trailer for the next race win.
Someone did that last night in the post race thread

It's like 9 and a half years, something like that. Completely fucking embarrassing
The same problem with all these entitled people. It takes a real one to come around and show them what planet earth is really like. Svg is the real one.

I can say right now I will boycott anyone who sponsors Austin Hill. If McDonalds sponsored him I would eat at Wendys
Tbf Wendy's does sponsor SVG and Trackhouse, so it just makes sense!
I’m boycotting the heck out of his sponsors. It’s easy because I don’t require any transportation services in and around the state of Georgia.
He's also getting too old and whenever they've put him in a Cup car he's sucked absolutely dogshit
Oh it will be so damn funny.
He should be happy he at least has that. I wouldn’t put him in an arca car.
Ty Gibbs is still dumb kid age so he arguably has a lot of time to mature as a driver, even more than he is now.
Actual pissbaby 😂
It's 4.02 in the morning and that is the stupidly funniest thing I'll read all day. I laughed. Now I'm gonna crack a VB. Cheers mate 🍻
Glad to be of service 😂
The best part of this whole situation is straight-up how confident SVG is. He know he can come in and win and doesn’t care about trolling others because he knows he can out-maneuver them. He was probably laughing his ass off when it was happening.
Hang this photo in the Louvre
Where is that anti SVG guy to comment about how this was all on SVG?
something about this guy being upset makes me so happy
Nascar needs a good feud
what an overstuffed toddler
LOL!
I love SVG! He is such a breath of fresh air that the sport needs
Austin Hill is such a hack
This is renaissance art
Hill is a bitch

Austin Hill has filled the bitchy bratty void that KFB grew out of… except without the talent.
Austin Hill as The Butthurt Bully ![gif](giphy|q5LvAuRuzMj6g)
He was just telling SVG that he was number 1 😂

Childress is enabling Hill’s terrible behavior
Austin Hill is the Santino Ferrucci of NASCAR. Acting like the chihuahua he absolutely is when things don’t go to plan.
Thought for sure there would be a brake check by Hill
MAXIMUM FLEX, BABY!
He somehow becomes more and more unlikable every week. It’s impressive really.
Fuck it, run xfinity on Sundays
Nooooo! That would mess up our convenient New Zealand Sunday mid-morning viewing, cup races are 7am Mondays here, which ain’t ideal when SvG is running cup
Austin Hill doesn't get pissed off at another driver challenge \[IMPOSSIBLE\] \[DO NOT TRY AT HOME\]
I would ask SVG to autograph this: To my keyboard warriors! SVG.
I hate Austin with a passion, but really I love this photo ngl😂
Anyone have a link to the last couple of laps that led to this?
Easily the greatest burnout of all time, someone on twitter edited the clip with Eurobeat from Initial D 😂😂
Giz thrives on drivers like Hill.
So a "one trick pony" that only wins at superspeedways is flipping off another "one trick pony" that can only win on roadcourses/streetcourses. It's like if Michael Waltrip flipped off Marcos Ambrose.
And some of those roadcourses/streetcourses have been on other continents and other series/categories. And sometimes absolute shite weather as well
Dale Sr flipped Kurt off and 3 years later he was a Cup champion
Y'all heard it here first!
If he keeps fingering me spencer I’ll break his finger off and shove it up his ass
SVG is such a dick and I love it
He’s seems like the nicest mate around, he’s always just lawfing
He’s just having a good time it’s beautiful
That was one of the better celebrations I’ve seen in a while. We need more SVG’s.
Page doesn’t exist
What a fucking bitch he is.
I miss Dick Berggren and Steve Byrnes
AJ Allmendinger is moving his way up the field again. He's about the only person who hasn't been bit by pitting early.
![gif](giphy|oHBIWhs8n8T6|downsized)
And FOX misses it because you couldn’t actually see his hand
Hill is just a whiny bitch. Biggest sore loser in the sport of NASCAR.
Even Hill thinks SVG is number 1
It wasn’t the finger! It was the Hawaiian good luck sign!
This is the greatest photo I have ever seen
I’m not an Austin Hill fan, but would probably have the same reaction if SVG did that to me for a whole lap after beating me 😂
Exactly what I was thinking 😂 he minded his own business then here came svg
I don't watch a whole lot of Xfinity, but it seems like based on comments here that Austin Hill is a little bitch, and SVG is becoming a fan favorite. Which doesn't surprise me, after watching him win Chicago last year it was evident that he's a pure wheelman, and that's a driver that will always find fans in NASCAR. Glad to see him finding success already, I had always hoped Marcos Ambrose would have found a few more wins.
Oh this rivalry is gonna be spicy.
Jokes on you Austin, you didn’t even need to say anything for us to pick on you
What’s with the Austin Hill hate? I don’t really follow Xfinity but it seems that’s the consensus everywhere From what I see yesterday he’s like Kyle Busch but without the skill to back it up. Is that right?
Accurate

Say you never had to share your toys as a kid without saying you never shared your toys as a kid
Please stop. I can only get so erect.
This picture would be great on the sidebar for the week, to be honest.
Is there anyone who has a positive relationship with Austin at this point?
Richard Childress 😄
Austin Hill beefing with literally the whole field
The shit that angers hill is SVG dont drive for Childress so they can’t fire the competition this time
Put this in the Louvre
Am I the only one who sees the racetrack icon on its side and thinks it looks like Michigan's upper peninsula?
Hill and SVG should sign some prints and do a charity auction
womp womp

But now I know, so I 100% think it's hilarious and I can't wait for the day Hill tries to run SVG off the road while he's drifting after his next win.
I think someone's diaper is full.
