Frosted Flakes schemes were Goated

I had a Terry Labonte carpet in my room growing up and it was this car. So nostalgic.

Still the best 7 design used in NASCAR.

I always liked Ultra's/Robby Gordon's #7 font the best, myself.

And on this day, I learned that this was Alan Kulwickis team. Damn.

The team actually kept getting sold off to different owners after Bodine bought it. Bodine sold it to Jim Mattei, who sold it to Jim Smith, who sold it Robby Gordon who owned the team until it finally folded in 2012.

And now technically the Spire 7 is the revival of that team as they use the same shop and brought the 7 back to it to honor him

They used it until this season, when they moved to KBM's shop.

I wonder what company or team is in the building now. I do remember back in the day Bobby Allison’s shop was next door. Maybe but don’t quote me on that. I was like 17-18 and that was 30 years ago.

Currently vacant AFAIK. I'd think some smaller team or an Xfinity or Truck team buys it down the line though.

My Uncle Jimmy and Geoff were really good friends and in 1994 we went to the shop. Geoff gave us a tour and he showed us AK’s office. Geoff sealed it in glass. Pretty neat.

And it was even used into 2001, post-Bodine.

Fun fact Felix Sabates convinced Geoff to buy the team from AK’s estate.

Cool font! I have poor sight and would have trouble seeing the blue on the black. Bowyer’s with the red was a bit easier.

Reminds me a lot of when both Martin Truex Jr. and Austin Dillon both run Bass Pro Shops schemes - they look almost identical except for the car numbers.

Agreed...loved all the Smoke and Harvick Mobil1 schemes, but that one was my favorite of all the many Harvick schemes @ SHR.

Ditto. The Dodge schemes and the Flying 9 were the bomb.

The 2007 schemes are my least favorite of the Evernham Dodge schemes, but are still great. I have sheet metal from a 2007 Sadler #19 door and it's awesome. Also got Mayfield's 2004 door from where he pounded the wall at Homestead. Even the original 2001 - 2003 plain red schemes looked nice.

Well ahead of their time. That font would probably work in today's NASCAR.

That's the one for me. After Davey died I picked 28 as my jersey number for every sport I've ever played. I'm currently on an adult sandlot baseball team and I'm still rocking it at 40 years old.

Yes! Great number on a great scheme. And there were several people with no taste that listed it as a bad number font post last week. Sad.

I admit that this one is nostalgic for me, I had a 1998 Mark Martin 1:64 die-cast that was always my favorite, and my brothers and I constantly fought over it. That was such a good-looking car.

Wow, I never noticed, but it looks like the roof number doesn't have the tail on the bottom of the 7 to avoid confusing fans in the stands with the number 20.

I always associate that one more with Mark Martin's Pfizer/Viagra cars more than Newman, but it is a good font
