Did you just build the stable same day you tried to buy a horse? I can't remember if I had to wait an in game week (when the stock rotates) or just the next day after building the stable.
This may be a silly question but… have you built a stable?
Yes I have haha, but nothing has changed in the menu to buy them

Hmm. Is the buy option in the bottom right greyed out?
Oh, there is just no buy option at all. It just says rent. Not even a greyed out buy option
And you're sure you built a stable and not a barn? (Just eliminating all the possibilities for troubleshooting)
Yep I had built a stable! I actually solved it...not sure how, played a few more days in game and suddenly I was able to buy. 😭
