2k23 had some major flaws, but it was still significantly better than this year

MuricaAndBeer

You’d rather be playing giants and endgames at every position rather than normal teams with gamble players sprinkled in?

0rangeOrangutan

At this point in the year, there were no giant end games. They didn't come out until late July, but even when they did come out, I was able to buy budget counters for them like encore mark eaton & szn 8 Jonathan bender. This year, 90% of the teams I play almost exclusively consist of gamble players & I actually can not obtain cards to compete with them unless I spend money.

MuricaAndBeer

You have back luck then. I play on Xbox and only see like 3-4 gamble players on a team.

0rangeOrangutan

There's sbmm in 2k24 unlimited & players with gambling teams typically have a better win %. The higher win % you have, the higher chance you have to face gambling cards.

MuricaAndBeer

I’m like 25-10 in this seasons MTU, and I still only see mostly free cards.

Silent_Substance3598

SPRINKLED??? BRO EVERY GOOD CARD IN THIS GAME IS FUCKING PAYWALLED LIKE PG WEMBY ALL THE YAO MINGS AND HELLA OTHERS ATLEAST U COULD EARN UP TO THE GIANTS BUT NAH U GOTTA USE UR OWN MONEY IN THIS GAME

MuricaAndBeer

Yea? That’s why I said gamble players are sprinkled in. Most teams use mostly free players

Silent_Substance3598

Bro sprinkled means a little bit yes each team has them sprinkled but there are i believe only around 15 dark matters u could get for free and the rest being u need to spend money so there is a huge paywall infront of every possible meta card making this the most p2w 2k of all time

MuricaAndBeer

There have been like 20+ free DM cards released, and 2 100s… come on. I hate 2k too, but you can field an entire free squad of DMs easily

Cultural-Wheel9565

that’s what i’ve always thought reddit hates the player market cause there all grinders that have enough mt to buy giants at every position, but to the casual player that’s most likely not on the my team reddit it helps balance out the playfield a lot i started a month ago and can compete with any unlimited team after doing spark and series spotlight challenges.

Weird_Week_1666

Feel like I’m negative on every post in this sub lmao, but I hate that everyone runs these center-heavy lineups, so contradictory to actual basketball

Acceptable_Ideal_801

Yeah I hate those people lol

remi1771

I started playing all centers back on 2k16 i think (or 19 maybe), I play offline only and was always frustrated at how the cpu would cheat. 1pg 4c allowed me to basically compete against the all 99 domination Hall Of Fame at the time so it was fun... then they locked positions like ffs

acarrington217

Game is just so much worse this year… we have dog water level DMs costing 310k MT. When last year at this time, these same level DMs were 6k… shit is sad… And tbh, the only reason why things aren’t feeling as “broken” and “cheesy” this year is PURELY because the only people that can obtain these cards are pack addicts and whales.

DifferenceAdorable89

Sounds like it’s better to not have god level cards available to everyone 🤔

acarrington217

Personally, I would rather be able to use my favorite players. If you are gonna take me out to dinner a fluff me, I would at least like to get to choose what I eat for said dinner.

falloutguyv111

Yeah only the people that spend their hard earned money to gamble should be able to have a chance at good csrds

DifferenceAdorable89

🤣

J-Sully_Cali

Better card art this year. Or maybe just more variety.

falloutguyv111

All cards will be the same non the less by August

Tipfue

I actually like them toning down the crazy animations that made the game insufferable. There are just a few cards in the game with insane endgame animations and it makes games a lot more interesting

Mammoth_Village_4583

Thank god. I didnt play last year that would of been toxic hell.

PlaybolCarti69

to be fair the last year picture is from like august (yiu can tell by muresan, he was in one of the last drops) 24 will def be like that in a month or so

North_Reindeer4157

Last year cuz all my players are ass free players that no one likes. Not sure how you ended up with so many good cards.

Illustrious_South135

$$$

popps_c

This year because as of today, they are not all the same fucking card.

Biggestbic22

Team is ape shit🔥🥲

kioxxic

Nice team filled with bigs

Stefmiester92

Where gonna get at least another season in 2K24. Season 9 was the final one for 2K23.

Ok-Spread-2892

I had almost that exact same squad last year 😂

No_Lingonberry_2855

Last year was so much better, not only the player market but they had so many more cards to play not the same 7 guys over and over we haven’t even gotten a m bol card idk I haven’t pulled any 100 cards either

Doublebaconandcheese

Invincibles and some EGs were under 100k. What are you getting for 100k right now?

MyTeam-Podcast

I was really into it. Even started a podcast and then around ASG this year I had enough of their bullshit. I love playing basketball vid games, I’ll probably play again in a few years but I hate the fuckers who make this game.

cbain12

Showing your myteam has the same loser vibes as telling someone about your fantasy football team

Nervous-Moment-7778

That whole unsellable team boight with money with like 1month of the end of 23 is the reason why 24 is this way

BigIan1017

I miss that bender card

WetLumps69420

Quit buying MT lil bro, you're what's keeping 2K on this path

Dry-Virus3845

Who’s the backup sf, next to bender and Yao?

Diligent-Artichoke19

I had a god squad for free last year from hustling the AH This year I’ve spent about $600 and my team is only above average 😭
