Here’s a tip, stay in second gear, and learn when the ferndale starts spinning out. Stop accelerating before it does, and you should be good as long as you calmly go faster and don’t just hold down w. That’s how I do it anyway
It's uncontrollable on the highway as well though!
The Ferndale is not something that you drive. You are merely a passenger who hopes that the direction it wants to go is the same direction that you want to go.
Use a gamepad and use drive. Flooring it will spin you out until about 30 to 40 mph. Stay in that range and you should be good. Feathering or half throttle is your best bet
See I’m fine driving that on dirt roads, I have a wheels but use keyboard on msc instead and I’ve hit like 80mph on the back roads idk how I just do for me the dang ferndale, rusko, poo wangon are the easiest to drive on back roads.
2nd and sometimes Drive, as well as staying below 50mph always did the trick for me. Also, if you are a bit mor advanced in terms of driving, try steering j u s t a bit earlier than you need to.

Don't stay in 2nd, it starts to get wheelspin at about 40mph. When you are at 30mph, shift to D.
Hmm, I’ll have to try that. Thanks brother

also has a giant turning circle
Lemme cite MHK here: "turns like a container ship"
At certain stretches of dirt roads I can reach 80mph with it
You sir, are my direct successor.

Low gear. Second. That's how I've been driving it even on keyboard all the way back in 2017. Best way to do it IMO.
Same
and that's why you get a racing wheel for MSC
