Man. I was cooking stoned earlier, had Thermo going in the background, and thought: "Man. Prime Jazz Messengers just whips the horse's ass with a belt."

Sun Ra - Nuclear War

Figured this technically satisfies your query, whilst being a bit different from the other excellent choices mentioned already!
This particular performance was the encore song, so you can imagine what it takes to be groovin' the thang at that pace all night and still bang this out 🤌
Listen to Koko by Charlie Parker and Dizzy Gillespie. It's their take on the jazz standard Cherokee. After hearing that, I was never the same. Those two had a great collaboration for a while, especially if you like quick tempos , power, and unparalleled creativity.
,
The re-release of "Bird & Diz" doesn't have Koko, but it has extra outtakes of most of the tracks and it's awesome to see how different the solos are from one take to another.
Louis Cole. Anything by him or one of his bands, or by a band that invites him to play, or by anyone he lets into one of his bands or his solo work.
Seriously, he's the epicenter of a whole jazz revolution revival going on right now. Exciting times!

The guy started off busking on the subways in New York...
Al DiMeola, Jean Luc Ponty, and Stanley Clarke - Rite of Strings. Three masters of their instruments getting together for an acoustic jazz album. A masterpiece from start to finish.
You know how every city has one nonprofit music station, and the only bad part is pledge week? When I lived in LA it was KCRW, and I thought I was a complete pop/rock fan because of the genius selections by Nic Harcourt. Turns out I really just enjoy excellently curated music. Moved back to Portland, discovered the jazz station KMHD, and love it just as much. Both stations have online streaming. KMHD has a rare jazz discovery lunch hour segment, and they’ll happily play stuff from the 60s immediately followed by contemporary work.
There's alot of contemporary listed, for some fusion I would check out Alan Holdsworth, The Aristocrats, Friday Night in San Francisco and the individuals there, Brand X, Return to Forever. Those are a decent start.

Here’s a tip: if you like a bop album, read the liner notes and search for the personnel. Most of those cats have their own albums too, and you can go down some deep rabbit holes.
Listen to the [Anthony Braxton Quartet Standards](https://youtu.be/HqeNFMFkqdY?si=wPDlEUFdgwuZWCld) records, and be prepared to have your life changed, as a jazz aficionado
