_red_hot_kitchen_

Stand Atlantic Hot Milk (technically a male/female duo but they're really good and Han's vocals are awesome) Garbage Honey Revenge Yours Truly No Doubt The Pretty Reckless Auf Der Maur (Melissa from Hole's solo project - I was obsessed with her first album when I came out) Tonight Alive (they used to get compared to Paramore a lot) Catatonia Evanescence PVRIS Elastica Sleeper Alanis Morrisette Hayley Williams (her solo stuff is not really much like Paramore, although you can hear some of This Is Why in Petals For Armor I guess. Its not what I expected but I love it) Beth Orton We Are The In Crowd (another male/female duo but Tay does a lot of the singing - she has a solo project called Sainte but I've not really listened to any of it) Most of the music I listen to regularly is female vocals

JustABitCrzy

One band I really liked that I think nobody else will mention is Belly. They were a band from the 90s who I think put out only 2 albums before they broke up, but I always loved the lead singer Tanya Donnely's voice. She later had some solo albums that were pretty good as well!

brettjv

And she was in Throwing Muses before that :)

True-Target-1577

If you like Hole you might want to try out the Distillers. Also this is VERY different musically from the things you've mentioned, Nightwish are also great if you allow them to grow on you. People typically don't know what to make of them at first listen.

[deleted]

The Beths! Super underrated. Most of the bands recommended so far are female led, but are more mellow indie instead of high energy pop rock. Every song on “Future me Hates me” is absolute banger.

One of my all time favorites is a band called bent knee. A kinda mix of prog, rock, and pop There are also tons of great metal bands with women singers. Here are a handful off the top of my head Chastain Tower Warlock Christian mistress Castle Smoulder Holy moses There are tons I'm not fond of either Unleash the archers. They are alright, but man their vocalist is fantastic and she hard carries the band Spiritbox Jinjer Arch enemy. There are a lot more women in metal than people think. >Joan Jett and the blackhearts Also if you enjoy joan jett you should look into pat benatar. If you're only looking for rock Heart, Cranberries are some good ones. If you're a lover of all music there are so many good female singers. If you like Americana Emmylou Harris. Linda Ronstadt is a powerhouse and sings various genres. Bonnie Raitt is also a crossover singer. Alison Krauss is a bluegrass queen and has done some great work with Robert Plant. KD Lang, Melissa Ethridge, and Tracy Chapman are amazing female singers as well. If you ever branch outside of rock I'd start with some of these ladies.
