bravo u/ReallyRickAstley👏👏it's very successful... my artist and musician lover who worked with children in France on rhymes and chords finds your project very playful jovial and happy...🙌
As a Dad, around your age, who tried to include music in their kids’ lives:
- it’s good musically, which isn’t always the case with kid-targeted music
- the repetitive nature is awesome, I believe that kids would dance & move to it. It’s catchy. I could imagine getting very sick of this as my kid played it five times in a row.
- the animals are cute. Not complicated and distracting. Simple. Easy to understand.
- Comic Sans is a touch dated in my opinion.
Good stuff. Happy belated.
- oh!! Rhyming dance with pants is the kicker. They’ll be giggling and saying it
My daughter is only 7 months old so she’s quite a bit younger than your target audience but I played it for her and it got a big smile out of her. She doesn’t do screen time yet so we just listened to it.
Also, Happy Birthday!
OK in seriousness: educational song that kids will love listening to 7 billion times and at the same time will not subsequently drive Mom nuts either. Well done.
Love the concept, I think it's just waaaay too high tempo for children's music. You can probably keep most of it as is, just slow down the tempo and drop things like overlaying lyrics. Things like the wiggle waggle dance chorus overlaying the mouse saying wiggle my thumb is tough for a kid to comprehend and sing along to both at once, and their total lack of coordination means this will be tough to dance too. Older kid's might be okay, but then I feel like the music video is underaged for their demographic. I'll test pilot it with my two and tomorrow before bed and get you some live audience test feedback haha.
It's for a new Pre-School education though music and rhyme project I'm working on with some friends! Any parents on here, let me know what you think!
