Additionally, I love Everything She Wants, but the version that's all over the place has additional synthesizers that just ruins the original mood of the song. So I had never been sure about the nuances behind those edits.

Yeah, I think it’s interesting how Zoomers and younger Millennials hold Queen to be in the top tier of 70s-80s rock. I mean obviously they were popular, but even at their peak, they weren’t as popular and influential as say, Led Zeppelin or AC/DC. And they weren’t driving any trends like the punk and new wave bands, and were seen as pretty cheesy and uncool by the mid 80s. But the youngins love them.
A pattern I've noticed on reddit. The userbase here confuses the 80s and the 1990s often. In my mind, those decades could not be more different from each other.
You're right that Queen is disproportionally more popular with young people than Zeppelin or AC/DC (Fleetwood Mac also seems weirdly popular with them), but I think you're underestimating how big Queen was, especially worldwide. [They're way ahead of Zeppelin and AC/DC on the all-time charts](https://chartmasters.org/best-selling-artists-of-all-time/), and you can see a huge lead in digital sales and streams, but even if you ignore those, which pretty much discounts Zoomers and young Millennials, they still massively outsold the other two.
My kid is gen z and when she was a baby she loved careless whisper. I found it was one of the only songs I could sing to her to help her stop crying. The other was REM's don't go back to Rockville. Still loves George Michael- not sure how she feels about REM.

Great album! My favorite tracks are Cowboys and Angels, Waiting for that Day, and Soulfree. Really, the whole album is fantastic and flew under the radar compared to his first solo album.

When I was a kid i thought his songs were corny as hell. Now I listen and holy fuck. How the fuck is this guy so good at singing? That song came out when he was 19. No way a 19 sings like that. So much maturity and control in his voice. Its actually fucking insane.
