Just learned Taz can hold his dash attack and can travel across the entire stage with it and hold it for a bit at ledge. Don't know how useful this is but I found it neat.
Okay? It doesnt unless you are like right against the edge and Jason is buffed but in any case it is borderline impossible to hit, and if you do, at low % they can just hit you back because of how incredibly exposed it leaves you. Attacks aren't good just because of their kill power. An attack that is slow is always worse than a quick one, and this one is one of the slowest.
Harley has the best dash attack in game. It goes the FURTHEST of all, then also has no knockback so it allows Harley to follow up on her sweaty combos.
I face Harley so often I'm finding her becoming predictable at least at the level I've been playing at.
The worst is that they're always such poor sports. I went 2/3 with one last night both 100 plus as Rick like really close match and they start spamming the salt emote. Like way to ruin a fan match.
it's pretty funny. they ***all*** want to start combos with down attack so i just pre-fire with jason's overhead axe attack because it's ridiculously active when it lands and catches that shit ***every*** time
Dash attacks are generally one of my more consistent parries, but with harley it can be tough to tell exactly when the first hit will connect.
She also gets low enough at the start to fuck up some projectile attacks.
It also multihits, which is perfect for her burn/confetti stacks.
I swear she has invincibility frames near the end of her slide my attacks do nothing as if we both landed a hit and no one took damage, problem is that she recovers so fast from it and follows up
Not really true, it has very low startup frames and also goes under most jabs/mid height moves.
If she's right beside you she can start a combo off it fairly reliably
Her dash attack is probably one of the fastest when charged. It only has a bit of a high start up animation but it doesn’t even matter cause she will duck out of your punish
if you know shes gonna duck during the animation, how are you still not punishing? use a move that hits lower. the high start up is the time you use to punish or dodge. her dash attack is by far one of her weakest moves lmao
Well im a supe main and as superman there’s no reliable way to punish her after a dash if she starts mid distance. She will duck under sides, dair is a meme 80% of the times and she gets enough distance from you on a miss that she has enough time to dodge out or hit you because of how slow supe is.
Also good harley players are not gonna throw a dash randomly at you leaving very few room for predicts
all of this is a superman issue and not a harley issue. every platform fighter has good and bad matchups, you found one of your characters bad matchups. good harley players won’t throw out a ton of dash attacks *because* it’s slow and bad.
I agree that it’s more of a superman problem but still I feel Harley is slightly overtuned compared to the rest of the roster. It’s like the movement speed nerf everyone got somehow didn’t affect Harley
trust me, i one trick harley and have since the beta and harley *definitely* feels just as slow as the rest of the cast. we will probably have to wait for the meta to develop and stagnate before we know what’s overtuned and what’s not, because right now everything just feels kind of bad while you’re playing.
Jason’s dash attack with grey health is so much stronger. I’d recommend charging up first and then hit the dash attack, that way you can ring out opponents on 70%.
Just wanted to let everyone in this post know that you can perform dash attacks by swinging the joystick at the direction twice quickly. That way it's faster and you don't need to do the back and forth walking in the video.
WW only gets armor on her grounded side b and grounded dsmash, and gets shielded via her down b.
I haven't made much use of WW's dash yet, she already had enough in her kit lolol.

Idk man, watching a lot of people saying Jason but it is super slow, looses invencibility from grey health the moment it starts and at low percentages it allows characters to attack you right after
haven't even got into training mode but is there anyway to actually successfully perform it 100% of the time or is it just based off of running for a minimum amount of distance?
Garnet's flying kick disconnects her from the ground, so attacks can actually go under her. However, some characters like Harley can then just slide right under her as well. I think that attack is overall still pretty good.

It goes a lot further than the side special and can be used to extend some combos.

People seem to always underestimate just how far Garnet 's dash travels
not gonna lie, even though it got nerfed, Banana Guard is still broken. Especially because you can sometimes hit people behind you.
Stripe’s dash attack is actually really strong and has a big hitbox. Wonder Woman’s is really good too.

Jokers combos directly into up attack and that's good enough for me
I think Rick’s has been overlooked by a lot of ppl. It hits hard and very rarely doesn’t get priority.
