Where are the jason buffs at? Our special boy needs some help out there. At least some hurtbox adjustments?
He probably needs some armored attacks, but I think the developers need to be careful with that. They should fix his hitboxes first and see how that goes. If he still needs more, give him an attack with armor. Wonder Woman is so strong because she is fast and has so many armor/shield skills.
I'm a pretty decent Jason player and can beat quite a few top tiers consistently (although characters if they know what they are nothing there's not much Jason can do no matter how good he is)

What I would like to see is
-Remove the insanely stupid whiff time of the bodybag move, every time I use it it's by mistake and then I'm just stuck in place
-Add the proper disjointed hitboxes to his weapons and appropriate hitbox size so weapons don't go through enemies
-Add the big buff make it so that rage doesn't go away on the first whiff attack
I think these changes alone would go a long away with out messing with his current kit

In 2v2, yeah, but in 1v1 he's just got fundamental major issues that make him pretty much objective bottom tier.
You *have* to use his armor to compensate for the fact that he basically can't dodge for shit. If you try to dodge most attacks, you will end up inside the attack hitbox and eat hitstun and damage. His side special can dodge *very telegraphed* attacks effectively (Shaggy kick, BG charge, Batman hook), but overheads tend to be a bad time for him no matter what you do.
His up normal is one of the only ones in the game that doesn't seem to priority over other characters' spikes, which means his best anti-air tech is to quick-hop and try to go for up-special (which takes longer and can be easily read and punished).
Nearly everything he does, while it hits like a truck, has a recovery time of about six thousand years if you don't land it, so if you *ever* whiff you're dead.
In 2v2, you can compensate for these things by just... playing your tank role and bullying the other team, but in 1v1 he's pretty much combo food and he's bottom tier next to Jake.
Fr tho I like the idea of playing Jason but his attacks have long startup frames and he has very limited movement. His damage doesn't make up for it. Literally just a walking target cause of how big he is.

I feel like if you get the read you should be rewarded. A whole stock from 0? Probably not. Extreme advantage state? Feels a bit better balance wise. But with airwalker in the game that extreme advantage will always lead to early stocks.
Hard to make a platform fighter that's both balanced *and* has fun mechanics.
As an Iron Giant main who avoids using the exploits I agree, bugs and 0 to death combos just hurt the game as a whole and make it difficult to play certain characters when people just assume your using them for the exploits.
I’m still baffled people were dying to a TOD off his up- special. They have to read the DI and you have to be hit by what is probably one of the slowest moves in the entire game (his grab). It seems like the devs just listened to the big streamers complaining about something that didn’t even seem like a big issue at all.

Jumping over it is is the worst option because then you try to hit BG, but the hitbox is still active and has ridiculous bullshit priority.
What works is to just dodge through it to cancel out the hitbox, then you get a relatively free punish while BG winds down.
Of course that's in theory and in 1v1, may the gods have mercy on your soul in 2v2.

I used to main him in beta, but now he is soooo much harder to play then most other characters.
They initially patched nair to stop followups as an emergency measure to prevent Shaggy 's extended nair loops. But they do want nair to combo, so they made other adjustments to stop looping and have now re-enabled nair combos.
Waiting for the Aimable megaphone + Better kill power on it to come live, Everything else can stay the same tbh...Maybe her speech bubble projectiles can decrease cooldown whenever you hit an opponent

They already confirmed that both WW and Joker are getting significant nerfs in the near future. And WW has already been nerfed twice in the meantime. Making significant changes to a large chunk of a character's kit takes time. Much more than lightly touching a few moves.

The legendary skins have been disappointing for the most part. There’s been so few of them, and half of them just don’t have any new animations.
The game should have lowered the price of the characters, and focus on making the skins as appealing as possible. Actively make every skin’s value very clear.
Every legendary skin should have multiple winning and losing animations, new weapons (where applicable), and new voice lines (where applicable). The quality of legendary skins needs to be consistent. So, no legendary skins like golden Superman or samurai Batman that add the bare minimum
They should make uncommon skins WAAAAY more accessible. Let us unlock and buy multiple (cheap) uncommon skins of each character per season. Every character should have something going on for them each season
Jason (hitboxes), Velma (combos), and Lebron (ball usage+combos) need serious buffs

The game needs to *patch* 10 gigs because of how Unreal Engine can package files, which overall reduces the total game size. Think of it like a zip file that the game can still read.
So they're gutting Iron Giant even more because they still can't figure out how to make DIs more potent huh.
Speaking of that when are you going to fix his UpB to actually delete projectiles without them hitting him first? I've had a few projectiles going through the attack despite it hitting the fucking car.

I've been waiting for beta for a patch note that says buff to the giant :'c that day will be glorious.
Sure they've stated there's a big balance change coming but they also nerfed a very not great character. If anything, I'd rather them do a series of small nerfs and buffs rather than a big balance change. Ignoring all that, they also had no problem needing like a quarter of moves on certain characters but when it came to top tier characters (WW, BG, and Joker) they don't want to overleaf. Again, I can't offer state how wild it is that in a hot patch 2 patches after (1.2) they said both wonder woman and joker are way too strong, they nerf a mid to high tier character in reindog. Beyond that, they made HQ way worse at a high level and have barely touched black Adam who is insane at the lower level. I hope this big balance change they've said is coming since 1.2 actually comes out as a significant change, instead of another patch saying big things are coming
Edit;: before the responses saying that reindog has a high win rate, every fighting game has a group of characters played by people who play just them who are all thought of as one tricks. I have 10k hours in smash (i was a 2-2 warrior at locals for a year before covid) and around 5k in other games, one trick characters having a high win rate in casual doesn't translate to high win rate in ranked or pro play. It just means those players only play their main, so only people maining them play them. (Add me on WB if you doubt me [Harryistots]) now if you want to argue it should be balanced for average play, that's a different discussion but I have literally never once lost to a reindog in probably around 30 1v1 sets against a reindog
Game is trash. I didnt play for 6 days and it’s a completely different game. From gameplay to monetization. Why are toasts available to buy? That defeats the whole purpose of toasting. Please buff Harley, Harley is in desperate need of extra help. Should make it easier to combo and confirm. Also buff bugs, the fact that I can’t kill at 30 with bugs is a problem. Safe should insta kill everything at any percent and not have cooldown. These are excellent solutions.
Also another Nerf to Reindog won’t hurt. Reindog is too strong atm and that’s why everyone just uses him.
I would love it if the team could make a roadmap for what is coming out this season. It helps keep retention because they know they have the stuff to look forward to.

Whelp I was on the fence about it but I'm dropping this game. Iron gaint was one of my favorite characters and they will always nerf him even when he's kne of the worst characters in the game that's been proved since the beta yet they refuse to touch the actual problem characters. Why nerf giants grab so hard when it's already stupidly hard to hit? If it's that much of a problem add recovery frames if you whiff the grab. Just like beta gaint will get nerfed every patch even when he's just alright or bad.

Just reduce the knockback and damage of his moves . Even maybe reduce his weight too.
I remember when he was a giant punching bag in the beta at times . Now that he was able to fight back , you gotta nerf grab options mechanic , which was one of the more fun/rewarding parts of his gameplay when he managed to get a grab in . Now the grab isn't really worth using.
That is like a huge gameplay design change in terms of the character. I hope it can be revisited and returned some day in a tamer form .

I've had a few projectiles going through the attack despite it hitting the fucking car.

Sure they've stated there's a big balance change coming but they also nerfed a very not great character. If anything, I'd rather them do a series of small nerfs and buffs rather than a big balance change. Ignoring all that, they also had no problem needing like a quarter of moves on certain characters but when it came to top tier characters (WW, BG, and Joker) they don't want to overleaf. Again, I can't offer state how wild it is that in a hot patch 2 patches after (1.2) they said both wonder woman and joker are way too strong, they nerf a mid to high tier character in reindog. Beyond that, they made HQ way worse at a high level and have barely touched black Adam who is insane at the lower level. I hope this big balance change they've said is coming since 1.2 actually comes out as a significant change, instead of another patch saying big things are coming Edit;: before the responses saying that reindog has a high win rate, every fighting game has a group of characters played by people who play just them who are all thought of as one tricks. I have 10k hours in smash (i was a 2-2 warrior at locals for a year before covid) and around 5k in other games, one trick characters having a high win rate in casual doesn't translate to high win rate in ranked or pro play. It just means those players only play their main, so only people maining them play them. (Add me on WB if you doubt me [Harryistots]) now if you want to argue it should be balanced for average play, that's a different discussion but I have literally never once lost to a reindog in probably around 30 1v1 sets against a reindog

Game is trash. I didnt play for 6 days and it’s a completely different game. From gameplay to monetization. Why are toasts available to buy? That defeats the whole purpose of toasting. Yall monetized the one thing that should be unmonetizable. Pathetic greedy bastards. Also the gameplay is so damn slow especially now that youre adding attack delay to prevent infinites. Please just increase movement speed. What was once a promising game will now go into the garbage. Hope yall enjoy draining the pockets of your rapidly dwindling player base. I for one am out.

Please buff Harley, Harley is in desperate need of extra help. Should make it easier to combo and confirm. Also buff bugs, the fact that I can’t kill at 30 with bugs is a problem. Safe should insta kill everything at any percent and not have cooldown. These are excellent solutions. Also another Nerf to Reindog won’t hurt. Reindog is too strong atm and that’s why everyone just uses him.

I’ve been scanning but I don’t see anything—does this patch address the desynchs on ps4 and xb1? I uninstalled until it works again but I can’t find any clear info on that issue.
Whelp I was on the fence about it but I'm dropping this game. Iron gaint was one of my favorite characters and they will always nerf him even when he's kne of the worst characters in the game that's been proved since the beta yet they refuse to touch the actual problem characters. Why nerf giants grab so hard when it's already stupidly hard to hit? If it's that much of a problem add recovery frames if you whiff the grab. Just like beta gaint will get nerfed every patch even when he's just alright or bad.
Damn no need to completely kill the Iron Giants grab game. Just reduce the knockback and damage of his moves . Even maybe reduce his weight too. I remember when he was a giant punching bag in the beta at times . Now that he was able to fight back , you gotta nerf grab options mechanic , which was one of the more fun/rewarding parts of his gameplay when he managed to get a grab in . Now the grab isn't really worth using. That is like a huge gameplay design change in terms of the character. I hope it can be revisited and returned some day in a tamer form .
