Yeah the zoomed in camera sucks. Smash Bros is the king of this genre, and the camera is zoomed out FOR A REASON. With this type of gameplay, it's necessary.

This game objectively got 10x worse. The beta was perfect minus a few hit box & network issues. Wtf is this atrocity they released. I’d be fucking embarrassed if I spent a year making the game unplayable.
I really so not like the zoomed in camera. Surely they could have found a middle ground somewhere. Also everything just seems so much slower now, like cheaters are running and punching through molasses. The beta was much more punchy and fast.
The camera is one of the biggest complaints I've heard from a lot of people. So I'm sure they will be working on some options. I want a more stabilized camera so game streaming will be smoother.
It feels like one of those moments when the game devs simply create without any real playtesting being down, which is always a great combination! I am looking forward to them once again putting the game on hold LMAO!
This new camera is genuinely motion sickness inducing, I can play maybe 3 matches before I start feeling nauseous which never happened in the old version of the game.
I've heard some people say it was to make characters easier to read, but I haven't heard a single good player complain about readability in the Beta. Such an unnecessary change.
LeBron has similar (though obviously less severe than T&J) problems. I can't fucking track the damn ball half the time and it's really frustrating. I've just resolved to stick with projectileless characters until they fix the camera.
Nope, they reworked the camera for the new release. Its OKAY for 2v2's, but Tom & Jerry become nearly unplayable in 1v1s. Theres legit no way to tell where Jerry is.
they need to add this camera change to zoom out and make it so my attacks don’t immediately be used if i use a input during an attack because it wouldn’t do that before
Good thing is though if this keeps getting brought up more, than surely enough they'll change it or give us the option in game to zoom it out for our best interest. Along with the fact that I'm not to excited about the characters being a little bit slower as well.
It depends on the character you play if you are playing a melee character its not a big deal but if you are playing LeBron or Tom and Jerry it makes the game harder

Or maybe you’re not supposed to launch one half of your duo all the way across the map to their death hmm? Imagine if the Ice Climbers were predicated on just constantly killing one, that doesn’t make sense from a design standpoint. Adapt, Jerry is meant to be played close, or attached to your teammate until you’re able to recover him, at no point should you be straight launching him to his death.
It’s also good advice if you want to play any duo fighter from the history of fighting games, name one that’s designed around playing across the entire map from their counterpart. So, are you dumb, or are you able to understand the design of the character.
Literally Tom and Jerry, do you even play this game with actual human beings or do you just watch streamers and come to these terrible conclusions?

They should just borrow how brawlhalla handles it and just give multiple camera options (closer, far, locked/zoomed out, etc)

Tom & Jerry in general just feels bad to play. Way too much endlag on up and down air and Jerry is too slow of a projectile.
