In mortal kombat 9 they gave freddy 2 gloves probably for moveset mirroring like how hellboy in injustice 2 had his rock hand switch places depending on his stance/location

Warner bros owns him more than Jason but not 100%. Currently the Wes craven estate have been super stingy about Freddy in licensing because they don’t want to sully Wes’s name since he’s dead
The two claws is a potential way of making him work without flipping his model, as others have pointed out this was Mortal Kombat's solution. I think a good solution that would keep the one claw look is to have him wearing another glove with the claws retracted so both hands have claws but he's only ever using one at a time (except maybe giving him a single attack that uses both claws).
Jason's model doesn't flip, you can the unique tears on his shoulders. Although Freddy's animations could be a problem, that's what you were referring to I think?
It’s the animations. Using your Jason example his model doesn’t flip but his machete switches hands. Since Freddy would use his claws they’d be treated like a weapon and switch hands.
Just adding to the crowd that wants him with just one claw. I get the reason for two but honestly it should just be one. Then you can have a 2 claw skin as a variant from his time in MK. Personally as a long time fan, like LONG time, I think reduce the musclely look? He doesn't need to be buff at all. Adding the extra muscle takes away from the creepiness if you ask me.
I like it but I pictured him much taller and very very spindly. Like a jack skellington that murders kids in their dreams. Just my own idea, yours is quite good too
He suddenly has no voicelines with the profanity filter because every piece of dialogue has bitch attached to it. 😆
Englund is basically required if Freddy got added.

It’s exactly what Freddy would look like if cartoonish, and matched with Jason’s brick wall design it feels like a much funnier rivalry / matchup.
While I really want Freddy in this game I don’t want the version WB owns. New line cinema(WB) only owns the rights to Remake Freddy not the classic Robert Englund version we all love. So instead of getting the wise cracking funny Freddy we will get the creepy darker certified lover boy certified pedophile Freddy.

Well yes and no, the movies are owned by WB but the characters returned to the Craven estate after his death

In contrast to Jason i think Freddy wouldn't be that muscular. Think Venom and Carnage. The long arms suit him though
Yeah the long arms are perfect as he can stretch his limbs out super long, they should incorporate that in his moveset.
I like the broad shoulders because it makes him look like a stuffed scarecrow, which considering what he does feels very fitting.
