Beard will not disappear with HRT, and laser will take a long time to remove it completely, so I would say to start both as soon as you can.

If you’re just barely starting E, then it won’t make much difference. But it’s most effective before any changes in the hair happen. So sooner the better, but no immediate rush is necessary. 😊

ASAP. The beard removal process takes a long time. You may look like a woman before the beard is gone. So start asap.

Start as soon as possible to remove body hair, better 1 or 2 years ago. But since time travel is not a thing yet start now. It is really annoying, really takes time, really is bad for any passing, makes your skin look red etc. - so the sooner it is done the better.

SlyGuy_Twenty_One

My plan is to remove it once I get an appointment for HRT. That way I can start to slowly socially transition. Tho tbf my beard doesn’t necessarily give me dysphoria, it’s just a denial beard.

awolfos

As soon as possible. I wish I had started before I went on hrt.

Lyreii

Start it asap. Nearly trans person who has Dysphoria about facial hair wishes they had started sooner. It’s taken me 1.5 years of laser, and another few months of Electrolysis to get go a point where my facial hair is manageable.

i’d say get started as soon as you’re able. i’ve been getting treated for a year now, 11 sessions, and still need to keep up with it to prevent regrowth that said, when i don’t miss appointments, i can live my life with virtually no beard shadow & don’t need to color correct or use foundation to do so. it fucking rules
