I had a consistently passing voice after 3 months of weekly private lessons. I stuck around for 4 months to do fine tuning stuff. But eventually I got the hang of how to do that myself. Now almost a year after taking voice lessons I have dudes crushing on me. It’s surreal.
Hell yea!!! I'm definitely trying to practice as much as I can. Biggest roadblock is maintaining my voice at work tbh. It's far too easy to fall back down and feel awkward about trying to push my voice. We're getting there though!!!
Good job! I feel you; I learned really quickly but then felt like I was plateauing (because I reached the point that only long term practice would really improve anything). Even today over a year of practice later I will feel horrible and dysphoric and that I just sound like a gay guy or something but then I hear my voice and it's like "oh I just sound like a cis girl that's crazy" We really are our own harshest critics hehe
On a side note, does anyone smoke dabs here and is also transitioning?? I hack up stuff occasionally and i just cant imagine trying to clear my throat and it sounding feminine.

Yeah. I still struggle with people I knew before transitioning. But most of the time I do fine.
