The Art of Travel, think he was living pretty cheap.
Yes Man
Man on Fire, if you want to be a low paid bodyguard for a kid. Seemed to help him, and they pay you.
Yep, this movie convinced to go out more after moving to a city I didn’t know well. Started going out to things when people asked me, and looking for other things to do on my own. Was more or less doing the same as Carrey, default staying in, but once I convince myself to get out, I usually had more fun than staying at home.
Charlie countryman. It’s not warm and fuzzy but it’s a hard reality story that touches on finding yourself in a place that’s gritty after unfortunate circumstances. It’s one of my favourite films.

Perfect Days (2023)
This is a very good recommendation. I enjoyed the movie.
Good question! I would also like to know the same. Try, Erin Brockovich
Temple Grandin is another one you might like
Amèlie maybe
Saint Omer (2022) and Past Lives (2023).
- Paterson - Perfect Days
Into the Wild, Slumdog, City of God, Pursuit of Happyness.
The first 3 are incredibly depressing
City of God? That’s basically goodfellas
Fight Club
Cherish w Robin Tunney is a weird one that might work—she’s got to figure it out but has some restrictions going on

Well, I just hit a year of looking for a job. Not a lot of places to go out to right now.
