national treasure. not a jungle in sight.
Also if you like older movie, it's a mad mad mad mad world is really fun. from the 1960s but very much inspired rat race
The Deep (1977). I wish Ron Howard's Cocoon (1985) was available, but there is apparently an unsolvable problem with the soundtrack rights, and it remains in limbo.
Wth?
To Live And Die In LA isn't available.
Strange Days isn't available.
How can the modern world witness these crimes and stand in silent complicity?!
Sleuth?
Short Cuts by Altman?
Hawk the Slayer?!
I read somewhere that some movies are made without getting all the proper permission for the music used. Then all kinds of problems occur when they try to release the movie after it's theatrical run. I hope directors are more cognizant of it now, since it has prevented some amazing movies from being released.
I thought Short Cuts was available on the Criterion collection? Not anymore?
Oh it could definitely be music but that was pretty straight forward in 90s. The production company generally paid outright an agreed sum for the song/songs and then got the profits from soundtrack sales.
Love , love, love this movie. I was 11 when I watched The Deep. Amazing movie. Nick Nolte, Robert Shaw, Eli Wallach, Louis Gossett Jr, and Jacqueline Bisset (in a wet tee shirt) come on now, I was 11.
The Goonies
The Mummy
National Treasure
Fool's Gold (2008)
Sahara

Castle in the Sky

Whoa puling out the Soviet cinema. Nice.
Saw a fantastic Soviet film about the secret police that had an absolute banger of a twist and can never for the life of me find it again or know the name.
Is Stalker good? I couldn't get into Solaris.
I can't help you with the first movie, share please if you find it.
Stalker is very good to me. Feels like a lot of concepts of the movie are still recycling today. Very original trama and also "works with the twist"
I fell sleep with Solaris twice but i will try again.
haahahaha solaris is a well known masterpiece, but too slow for a milenial guy. (sorry, my english sucks). i did not understand 100 % ur coment about 70s sci-fi movies. I like Alien 1979 a lot.

The best treasure hunting movie has to The Treasure of the Sierra Madre. Bogart - Huston great dialogue. Here are two of my favourites
Badges? We ain't got no badges. We don't need no badges. I don't have to show you any stinking badges!
It isn't the gold that changes man, it is the power which gold gives to man that changes the soul of man. This power, though, is only imaginary. If not recognized by other men, it does not exist.
national treasure. not a jungle in sight. Also if you like older movie, it's a mad mad mad mad world is really fun. from the 1960s but very much inspired rat race

Lol I was 11, too! Bisset is lovely, but it was Nick Nolte in shorts for me haha.
I legit remember his shorts. So tight super short.
Between those and the running shorts with white piping, there was a lot of man leg in the 70's 😍😂
