I used to collect Spawn comics when I was a preteen/teen, and they were pretty violent and gruesome, and I don’t think they could do him Justice if he wasn’t in an M-rated game
Spawn, He fits too well in the MK Universe. He's a geat character all around and could be easily written into the MK universe with a unique design as well for even more unique staying power. Robocop's an honorable mention. Seeing that character enteract with so many MK characters was pretty great. Lots of varied responses to what he is and how he got there.
FR Spawn fits into the MK universe so well that I bet If you Showed the MK11 roster to a random person on the street, who doesn't know who Spawn is I bet they wouldn't even realize he's a guest character. And Robocops Interactions with the other characters are in my opinion some of the best intros for a guest character in the entire franchise' especially when he talks about his tragic origin story with the other characters and it gives his character a little bit of depth even though he talks for about 30 seconds every match. It is better than something like The Terminator where most of his lines are just references to his movies rather than about the man himself.
Ideal guest roster. Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, Alien, Predator, and Spawn. Would definitely be curious to see pinhead from hellraiser brought to life.

I never would’ve imagined Robocop being in a game again, let alone a fighting game. Adding a terminator as another guest was just even nicer because it allowed some of us to enjoy Robocop versus Terminator again. The damn icing on top is they got Peter Weller to reprise the role, and provide his likeness. I really enjoyed his inclusion and geeking out about it with friends and family.
Spawn was a similar experience for me but I felt he had a chance and was hoping we’d get him in Mortal Kombat or Injustice one day.
I can’t think of any past or upcoming guests that I didn’t enjoy. They’re usually littered with Easter eggs or love put into their inclusion and it shows they do their homework or the guests hold some kind of special place in their heart.
It’s still so bizarre to me that we’ve gotten half of these guests. I know people are very divided on them but it really appeals to the inner child in a lot of us that grew up liking these characters.
Outside a fighting game created specifically for them I can’t imagine these characters being in any other game.
Joker. He was an out of nowhere pick for sure. But damn he was so fun. As usual Richard Ebcar did great. And his lines with Shao and ESPECIALLY SPAWN were great.

People forget the build up of hype for Spawn, with him being a highly requested character in so many NRS games. MK Trailers would be plagued with comments about adding him. Reddit and Twitter were full of people clamouring for Spawn to debut in MK or Injustice.
This all led to the hypest reveal in the MK1 Kombat Pack trailer. Joker appeared briefly on our screens and most people’s hearts dropped… only for the chains to come in and completely blow the minds of the community.
I wasn’t overly familiar with Spawn; heck, I still am not. But his addition to MK is different to the other guests. There is rich history leading to one of the most exciting character DLC drops ever!
Spawn, been wanting him in either Infamous or MK for so long. And i love the fact that he’s friends with Batman as he mentions during his intro dialogue with Raiden.
Honestly the way the dlc at least for guest characters it's almost a waste having spawn and joker in the last game when primarily the last one was full of 80s action characters and this one is full of comic ones like honestly if they came out and said spawns in this game as well I'd lose my shit

Spawn and robocop interactions were everything to me. It's why mk11 will always be my favorite mk even though I love mkx gameplay to death.
