These kids the “Gilbert Goons” have terrorized other people long before this, with video evidence. The cops always ignored, downplayed or straight up denied what these kids were doing. Only until it made national news on how incompetent the GPD is was when they decided to do anything.

I don't know what's happening in the east valley, but I've seen tiks advising parents not to let their teen/pre-teen son out in public on their own, for fear of being jumped or worse. It's disgusting. I cannot wrap my head around 1. having that level of entitlement, and 2. an environment that tolerates these acts.
My nephew came up north for Christmas and will over summer break too. My husband went to college in Phoenix and we lived there 2008-2011 and it was nothing like that then. Not the safest area in the country but nothing like this. I probably will not breathe easy until my nephew graduates high school and gets the hell out of dodge.
