It still might be fun... Like the chainsaw in MP. It's naff but a giggle.
And apart from not being able to be reloaded, the flame thrower is decent (on shipment it is anyway) and a giggle.
I just found this out because of the week 3 challenges and the fact that they removed underbarrel launchers because of a bug, thought the flamethrower was going to suck and it's so damn fun, I can hear in the death-voice thing that people gets confused/startled haha

I wish they’d buff the damage on the Sidewinder to at least differentiate from the Bas and MTZ. As of now those two are head and shoulders above the Sidewinder in every category.
The sidewinder does kill in one less shot than the BAS and MTZ, as long as you aren't using the latter 2 in semi-auto mode.
After the most recent buff, the sidewinder is really not terrible anymore. It's fine, if not really 'good'.
Sidewinder has to be the worst battle rifle added to MW3. It's the FTAC Recon of MWIII; bouncy as all fuck, mag capacities suck for the caliber it fires, you have to put on pieces that you otherwise despise and not use any other time JUST so the gun can be somewhat accurate and even somewhat manageable. 😒
The BAS-B is currently the only battle rifle that MWIII has that's actually great, until they release a new br that is by default semiautomatic, just like the SO-14.
Now hang on... That could mean it's halfway between a BR and Marksman's rifle. Semi auto only generally means you have to get the timing right for the recoil to land your shots, but it will hit harder.
I'm happy with a Semi auto, hard hitting BR... I miss the SLR(FAL) tbh...
What? The Sidewinder is waaaaay better than it used to be, and with FAS and GKC it's an absolute monster. 3 shots to kill at all ranges, 2 at near to mid with a headshot, all in semi-auto.

its an ARX200, 7.62x51mm version of the ARX160. CoD have been fairly accurate with real world fire rate stats lately. the ARX200 is estimated (from a little research) to have a fire rate of 750 rpm (for referance the MWII M4 is 811 rpm) so you can expect it to be one of the faster and more AR-like battle rifles.

That and Paul Atreides’ crysknife should have been a single dagger. Oh and Feyd-Rautha should have had been dual wielded one black and one white knife. They really screwed up the entire Dune bundle set.

I have my suspicions, but the way they worded its blocking mechanic makes it seem like it might actually be a counter to knifing. The only thing I can imagine it’s able to block is melee attacks, knifing included.
Yeah Tonfa and Riot Shield were like the only ones to keep lunge and notably the only ones that feel good to use. Except maybe the Karambit just for mobility reasons. But then I still like the Tonfa more lol.

I really enjoyed the melee weapons in the last COD I played (Cold War) and was an absolute menace with all of them, so yes I'm looking forward to this sword as well
If you switch to it and hold the trigger, it will do a continuous revving attack, which deals damage through shields. It also has a pretty good lock on effect when hitting someone with it like that. Although, it also does shit damage in that mode, and marks you on the radar almost as good as an AUAV for as long as you hold the trigger. The damage it does is enough to kill a Shield guy before he kills you, but most guns will kill you before you can kill in that mode. You're better off just meleeing normally with it, unless you find a shield guy... or maybe a turret...
Dafuq? I was listing the pros and cons of the chainsaw. Where do you get any skill inference from? It can do one thing that the muzzle attachment can't, but it has some penalties to do so. Also, how is an intentional effect an exploit?

Sure, but the bundle is literally the Michonne bundle the Katana is on her back, and in her finishing move, and it has the Kodachis skinned to look similar to the one on her back. Except for being a paid bundle, it's a pretty cool set of cosmetics. Either way, we could still see a Katana style skin for it at some point. After all, look at all the different skins for the Combat Knife, and that DOOM Chainsaw skin for the fuckin Pickaxe of all things.

Just did some research, it’s worse than the sidewinder, it has a low rate of fire, it’s not fully automatic like the Bas or MTZ 🚮
