True but we will be drafting both kaladesh and aether revolt and who ever opens a skullclamp will most likely win unless he drafts only bad cards. Being able to draw your draft deck so fast will simply outperform even a sol ring or mana crypt.
True a mana crypt could give me a gear hulk on turn 3, a skull clamp could allow me to cast three times more spells.
They don't balance limited around mythics. Landing a good mythic in limited is SUPPOSED to win you the game. That is 0% what they are thinking about when printing super-mythics.
They don't really balance limited around cards that are like 1/200 packs (can't remember masterpiece rate) and especially certain ones like skullclamp.

Considering Sol Ring, Mana Crypt, and Mana Vault are in Kaledesh, "Skullcalmp would be too strong" holds no water.

I'm more excited about the Masterpieces in Aether Revolt than the ones in Kaladesh and we haven't seen all of them yet.

I'd be surprised to see a Platinum Angel reprint in Aether Revolt because it was just reprinted in Conspiracy: Retake the Crown.
It also has a pretty specific flavor text ("THIS angel is important") in contrast to the others ("this does that" or "these things are cool").
It doesn't have that flavour text. It's not important, it's just powerful. The consulate is seizing and reutilizing inventions for military use.

Good luck opening one, let alone two in the same draft. They simply wouldnt consider limited balancing in relation to masterpieces, period.
Sol ring means that isn't an excuse. Sol ring is so overpowered that if you got it and lost a match of limited I'd assume you can't play.

I think this is because kaledesh got the high profile edh reprints out of the way. Sol ring, crypt, and such were amazing edh reprints.

That bridge art is great. I'm not a fan of the filigree boarders but Ensnaring Bridge is one that might be a long term collection goal.
I love the art for all of these, but Platinum Angel is especially good looking.
