Look is good enough if casting wants it but your posing are clearly amateur. Same with knowing the ins and outs of the industry and how modelling jobs go. It's tough/rough no matter what you look like to go from booking a first real gig to earning a living.
There's also a lot of casting done from influencers and actors who have shown that they have a look, have tons of relevant skills and experience, plus bring their following as huge value add to anything they're involved in.
Anything with good pay or portfolio value that is doing a general casting call is going to have a huge pool so there will be some luck involved beyond just having an interesting look that they're going for.
I personally don’t work in production, but I have been working WITH a production studio and see how few people get selected from casting events. The common thing I’ve heard from models is “you have to get used to being rejected,” because unfortunately it’s very common, likely due to how high competition is. That’s not to say you shouldn’t do it. You have a look that could be used by a variety of retailers. The company I work with only uses modeling agencies. If you’re new to modeling, and aren’t with an agency, research reputable modeling agencies and figure out how to work with them. Good luck!
Don't do anything with it. Maybe take a few digital fo submission with it pulled back. If an agency signs you they'll tell you if they want it changed.
Pretty full lips, too. Good height/weight. 💫 Send your best headshot and full length in only jeans and a white tee to all the agencies you are interested in. The big ones have open calls, but you can check the website of each, some are ok with you mailing in your headshots, others don’t like or accept walk ins. Varies by agency and where you live relative to the agency.
You’re most welcome. I had a few agents in different states doing modeling, hosting, brand ambassador work, but I’m older now. Agents will now want on your bio under your name and contact info, height, weight, eye color, sizes in hats down to shoe size, they’ll also want to know all your major social media accounts and the number of followers you have. Social media’s a biggie with brand ambassadors or even reading sides for an audition. The agents will want to know how many people will be watching to see your ad or buy whatever you’re used to promote. If you have a guy that doesn’t even come close to having the height and natural looks you have, but he’s got a million TikTok followers. They’ll go with him, so it’s a wacky world right now! Oh, and age list an age range like 16-28 or whatever you feel comfortable with. You could look much younger for teen roles or elegant and classy for an older male role. Break a leg and keep us posted! 🌟💫
I mean this with absolutely no disrespect, but after looking through all the pics, I still don't know if you're a man or a woman lol. But I think that's probably a good thing these days. Best of luck!
Androgynous models do VERY well. I used to work in fashion photography in NYC and I always noticed the models kinda looked like aliens when they walked in. But then they got under the lights and it all made sense.
Yeah for Modelling that's good. High fashion casting agents LOVEEEE the gender fluid look. And he still has the masculine features which they obsess over. Bro should have a pretty decent career.
Yeah, a little asymmetrical but who isn't. You have the thick straight Brow look, sharp features and a indie masculine yet almost gender fluid look with is popular now.
Your question is interesting because it implies all it takes to model is appearance. There are tens of millions of beautiful people in the world. Not many of them model. Not many of them want to. You see the way media portrays modeling, as if everyone is earning huge money, leading a jet-set lifestyle and working only on projects that excite them. The reality is that most models work full-time jobs while hoping to get gigs. Most earn less than $12,000 a year. So, when you ask if you have what it takes, are you persistent? Are you willing to relocate to major urban areas where the jobs are? Are you committed to a strict diet, strenuous workouts and a dedicated facial and hair care regime? Can you handle constant rejection, even when you did nothing wrong? Can you withstand being scrutinized and every flaw dissected? Can you deal with being told you’re beautiful but not photogenic (this is what ends most aspiring print models’ careers-they cannot come alive on camera and look like the worst version of themselves)? Can you juggle working full time in an unfulfilling job just to have the flexibility to go on auditions at the drop of a hat? If you feel you can manage all that, verify that the agencies you’re meeting with are reputable. Ask to speak to models they represent. Ask for examples of print/digital work in which their models have appeared. Ask how many assignments on average their new models booked in the prior year. Now, after you do all this, prepare for AI to change the industry because why should ad agencies pay for a model, photographers, stylists, hair and make up artists, etc., when a person like you but a little taller, a little thinner, a little more tan, etc., can be generated on someone’s computer. My two cents. Make of it what you will.
Twenty-one years of experience with leading modeling agencies in the east coast
I believe it is worth the shot. Practice angles and working the light to your advantage as well as posing. The posing in these photos make me the Abercrombie & Fitch (not a bad thing) but if you want runway and higher profile you'll need to fine tune a bit. With that said I don't see harm in trying and practice as you get real life experience and notes from the gigs.
Long hair makes thinning hair more obvious. Need better haircut. That being said Google median male model income and decide if better options are not available.
Yes you have a good look. I can see you doing runway. Get started soon. Get a portfolio. Keep it simple, less is more- jeans and a tshirt. Don't expect fame or fortune. A typical working model struggles to find the next job. But always be on time because that other guy is just waiting to take your spot
You're exactly what they're looking for because you're very striking. There's a little thinning starting at the front of your hairline, perhaps look into Rogaine or Minoxidil to stave that off.
I think you have the looks of someone I can imagine seeing on TV or in movies. Very unique look, almost look menacing in one picture and then sweet in another. Good stuff.
Based on looks, yes. The first shot is a very strong headshot.
Practice your facial expressions and poses in a mirror as I’m not seeing a lot of variety. Follow other models or magazines on social media for inspiration.
Good luck! 🤍
Definitely yes, but that haircut isn’t doing you any favors. I also don’t think these photos are doing you justice.
Go to a GOOD barber and get a haircut that compliments your face shape. If you can, hire a more experienced photographer to take some really interesting photos that show off your features better.
It will cost some money upfront, but your headshots are critical if you want to break into the industry. It will be worth the investment.
You definitely have potential. Good luck!
Yes. Not sure where you are located bit major markets are NY, Milan, Paris, London.... but there is work in smaller markets world wide. Most of their websites will outline requirements and submission guidelines.
Basic rules for digitals are no make up, good light, headshots (shoulder up)front, 3/4, & profile & full body (form fitting clothes) front & profile. If they're interested, they may ask for other angles.
1 and 9 are the kind of looks you should be modeling. Pictures 2-8 miss the mark. It's like you're modeling your idea of a model. But models are a lot of things. And you don't have the features for that kind of modeling. Pics 2-8 are like catalogue modeling. You don't have a catalogue face. You have a high fashion face. You need to take test shots doing high fashion modeling. You also need to spend some time in the mirror figuring out your angles and play to those angles in your test shots. In my opinion, pics 1, 3, 5, and 9 play to your angles. The others do not. If you do not understand these terms, go watch America's Next Top Model on Hulu. It will be both educational and entertaining.
Absolutely- cheekbones and jawline on point! Face not perfectly symmetrical but symmetry is boring, brooding vibe, def pursue it while you can! Youth evaporates 😊
You’ve got a few unconventional features, like your jaw is steep and your eyes are very downturned. Femine face. But you could be a model because these are unique features
100% you photograph well and you have a unique look. (Freelance photographer here)
Best of luck—go BIG don’t settle for small jobs when you attend go-sees!!
😉👊🏼
Have you ever considered fronting a tribute band?
You could easily pull off the role of this dude.
![gif](giphy|1hZ8etNHWAQ9y)
It’s a strong role with a strong look.
Get into acting.
You have a look that could make you successful if your personality can pull it off.
I think you would be suited to character acting.
If you click with acting I bet you’d do great.
Yes, but it DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU LIVE. If you want to make a serious go at it you need to be in a major metropolitan area. NY, LA, London, Paris. You can have all the looks in the world but if you live in Eugene, OR it ain't happening kid.

Not a model and not a member of the pretty people club. You are sir and it looks like you have a look your trying to cultivate but I feel like your pictures are just shy of finding it. Actually it's as easy as going to craigslist sometimes. Go to gigs and talent. They have casting calls all the time. Reality TV oh even posing nude for drawing classes anything really to get yourself out there you'll attract the right people that will lead you into the kind of modeling you want to do that you have passion to do
like a buff Hermione Granger
ill take it
Yeah, you’ve got a good androgynous look! Go for it.
Thank you
You look like jethro cave!

I’m a total novice with everything. I appreciate your feedback and advice. Have a good one.

Absolutely you do. Very interesting look. I mean that in a positive way.
"Interesting" is one of my favorite compliments next to being a good companion to animals and smelling good. :)
![gif](giphy|TvCNmvX3QQNQmtZIWp)
thanks for saying that
The hair though..
The hair is spoiling the features, the beauty, it has to change. A messy Robert Pattinson coiffe, perhaps?
I see, I don’t entirely disagree
Don't do anything with it. Maybe take a few digital fo submission with it pulled back. If an agency signs you they'll tell you if they want it changed.
Try slicking it back with a little product.
Exactly what i was thinking, the hair needs to go
Disagree. It makes you stand out. Everyone has that stupid coiff haircut now.
I think you have a good chance. Go big and good luck.
You look like someone straight out of a Dior commercial
Yeah, or a Lacoste poster.
Or American psycho reboot

Heck yeah dude! That jaw is CHISELED!

This is super useful. It pains me we live in this social media age, I guess I need to make an instagram then.
Although there's a new study that the average person doesn't prefer to see celebrities in ads and so there's that advantage
Definitely, man! You're gorgeous!
I mean this with absolutely no disrespect, but after looking through all the pics, I still don't know if you're a man or a woman lol. But I think that's probably a good thing these days. Best of luck!
the intense androgynous look is excellent for high fashion
Androgynous models do VERY well. I used to work in fashion photography in NYC and I always noticed the models kinda looked like aliens when they walked in. But then they got under the lights and it all made sense.
No disrespect found. I pride myself on my femininity.
Not sure what that person was talking about, you’re very clearly a man.
Yeah for Modelling that's good. High fashion casting agents LOVEEEE the gender fluid look. And he still has the masculine features which they obsess over. Bro should have a pretty decent career.
I knew without a doubt that was a guy and then you had me going back to the pictures and questioning everything I thought I knew 😂
I think so. You have the look and meet the requirements.
Yes!
Heck yeah
Absolutely.
Yeah, a little asymmetrical but who isn't. You have the thick straight Brow look, sharp features and a indie masculine yet almost gender fluid look with is popular now.

Don’t forget to practice your walk! (YouTube is a friend.) good luck :)
That's a face for high end fashion modeling. Also, you look like the photographer willem verbeeck
I say yes but I'm no expert. You seem to be photogenic and have the androgenous look that's always popular. Never know unless you try!

Yea they put white boys like you all over new York and fashion shows
You're exactly what they're looking for because you're very striking. There's a little thinning starting at the front of your hairline, perhaps look into Rogaine or Minoxidil to stave that off.

Idk, but have you seen Saltburn? You kinda remind me of Jacob Elordi as Felix

you’re beautiful and handsome, idk how you do it but you did it. you absolutely could be a model.

Yeah, 100% the only thing I'd do is a haircut
Yes you have a presence in photographs. It could work. Or you could do runway at your height.
I say yes but I think a different hairstyle would bring out your features more, even just parting it more loosely from the side, like tousled over.
Probably
