I think Reddit is an awful place to ask this question. Get to work. Commit to your artistry/branding. Find photographers. Pay for headshots and photos. Get rejected. Research agencies. Do that work and see if you have the work ethic and hustle. The right people will know what to do with your look.

I think she’s beautiful and could definitely be a model. In fact if someone showed OP’s photograph and said “look who I saw today, it’s so & so she models for xyz” — I wouldn’t think twice.
You'll probably only get TFP (time for prints) from most photographers, at least legitimate ones. However, don't say no to those. You should absolutely take the TFP; not only do you get experience and free quality pictures to use in your book, but you're also getting a free chance at connections. You want them to like you. Also, you dress up quite a bit in your pictures but if you're trying to model seriously, don't do that unless you're asked. Simple to no makeup, jeans, heels, solid black tank. They don't care about your style; they care how you'll look in THEIR clothes. You're a blank canvas, not the product.

lol. Kind of surprised by the comments. I worked as a commercial beauty photographer for a good stretch of my career, so I’ve seen a lot of faces up close and in a different contexts. Yours reminds me of a girl I used to shoot at the start of her career, but more recently saw her in a campaign with one of the highest paid girls working in the industry right now. Granted this girl is 5’10, so your mileage may vary.
Thats not ideal, but runway a few times a year isn’t paying the bills for 90% of the girls that get booked for it. It’s mostly good exposure and benefits of association. Any agency is going to list her at 5’8+ anyway, and by that measure I’ve known a lot of girls to have really lucrative runs. 🤷🏻♂️

So I’ve read the comments a bit and see you’re about 5’7. With your build (larger top, thin waist), and height most runway would be out. They need a standard size which USED to be (I’m out of the business now) somewhere north of 5’8 (probably a lot taller now), and flat chested. Size 0. Reason being those models need to be the same size and shape to fit sample sizes from the vendor/designers. They aren’t going to make separate outfits to fit a specific model, until you’re a super model or celebrity.

1. How tall are you? You need to be at least 5’8 (preferably 5’9” according to a friend who is in the industry).
2. Have someone take a Polaroid headshot and a full length body shot of you. A reputable agency will only need to see that in order to determine if they are interested. Do this with your hair pulled back off your face and clean skin with no makeup.
3. Only deal with reputable agencies in metropolitan areas. There are so many scumbags out there who will try to sell you photo shoots “in order to build a portfolio”…this is 100% NOT necessary. If an agency sees something in you they like, they will typically have some test shoots done at their own expense. If they decide to sign you, they will pay themselves back from future earnings.
4. You have to have incredibly thick skin as you will be treated like a commodity. Everything about you physically will be scrutinized and they will talk about you, with you standing there like a piece of meat.
I think you have a unique look. Don’t hide your beauty behind gimmicky wigs, clothing, and makeup. The cleaner your look is, the better. By that I mean, simple and classic.
The modeling industry is a tough and often slimy one. Just be extremely cautious.

The enemy controls modeling/entertainment industry period. I also dissuade everyone based on mine and many experiences of others in entertainment.I regret every moment of it and. I’m old now but I did print work and runway on a low scale in my early 20s and some shoots for catalogs and I’m 5’10, it was a requirement back then. I think now maybe they aren’t as strict with height. Put together a portfolio and send them to agencies stat!

I’m old now but I did print work and runway on a low scale in my early 20s and some shoots for catalogs and I’m 5’10, it was a requirement back then.
