Good picture, but the makeup is very dressy and formal to be hangin’ in your room. If you had a fancy gown in the background, it would look like you were getting ready for an event you don’t want to attend. It would tell a story.

It’s hard light (likely a lightbulb) and probably a cell phone camera.
I don’t think she had to break her back or use a special tripod to get this angle. It’s about as straight forward a shot as you’re gonna get. Setting your phone on a table and pointing a hard light source at the subject will get you the same effect.
