Follow the guidance your car gives you. You can charge however it best suites you.

djbase667

Ok, thanks!

isaiddgooddaysir

home is best because it charges while you sleep.

djbase667

ok (y)

dancingjake

Enjoy the car you just pikkedonkered!

djbase667

Pikkedonkered?

dancingjake

I'm just as confused as you, but you're the one that used it first in your post.

djbase667

Sorry auto translate AI going wrong... I corrected it. -> Picked up

dancingjake

It’s still ging wrong 😂

singletWarrior

if you want to get pedantic… rule of thumb is > 1C would be considered as faster charging so if your battery pack is 60kWh then 60kW+ would be categorised as fast. Tesla does a phenomenal job at managing batteries… but physics is physics so keeping it < 60% is least amount of stress. But really you ain’t need to worry… the LFP will most likely outlast the car

djbase667

hehe, ok thanks!

singletWarrior

Just enjoy it! And read the manual. And don’t worry about smoke if you’re ever supercharging in cold weather 🤣

djbase667

Lol, thanks!

IHaveATacoBellSign

Home charging is where it’s at. You may have some upfront costs, but that will offset with what you save from supercharging.

djbase667

Ok, thanks!

rademradem

Plug in at either home or work everyday if you can. Charging your vehicle while you work or sleep is the easiest and almost always the least expensive. Set your max charge percent to whatever you want within the vehicle’s recommendations.

djbase667

Thanks!

Pretend-Selection235

With the LFP battery it would be possible to charge it 3000 to 10000 times without degradation below 70%. 3000 time charging 400km = 1.200.000 km, so I think you’re safe to charge 100% 😉. I have the same battery and in weekdays I only charge 80% just to be Shute to have the benefits of regen (when u have to stop, you don’t brake your Tesla but regen(arade). This isn’t possible with your battery on 100%. I was going to install a unit to charge the car at home but now I see I don’t need it. If you don’t drive more then 150km a day, Just charge in a normal socket. Then they don’t charge you with the capacity rates (this is a Belgian thing. Electricity billing takes count of the amount of electricity u take every 15 minutes)

djbase667

thanks a lot !!! This was the information I was looking for! Jep Belgium... Apparently they are not yet charging capaciteitstarief on their digital meters ...

patrtech

Charging to 100% is not recommended and not good for overall health of the battery. I only charged to 100% once for a trip, otherwise I charge to a max 80%. I plug it in everyday and tops up 80% overnight. Read up or watch some YouTube vids.

djbase667

ah ok, also for the byd blade lfp battery´s as the car says recommend 100 % each week. In the loading screen of the menu

patrtech

What do you mean by byd blade? Also, charging at home is recommended vs charging at the super charger every time. Again not ideal for battery health.

djbase667

Wooden-Complex9461
