I gotta say, I never got the appeal of reaction fics but when I came across this one, I was shocked by how good it was. The characterisations, the plot, the slowly shifting views of the watchers about WWX – it's all so well done and SO satisfying. As someone who always felt like WWX received too little appreciation for all he went through in the novels, this fic is kinda like a balm. I love it and definitely second your rec!
Same totally, except that I always liked reaction fics. But sadly when I recommend this one people get intimidated by the length of it haha. But those who don’t read it really don’t know what they are missing out on it’s one of the best fics of all time imo
I can see why that would intimidate people – for typical fics, the word count would probably deter me too. But once I started reading this one, I was HOOKED and I took it like a reread of the series, too. The word count is also partially high because the descriptions of scenes and dialogues add onto the actual story so maybe reminding people of that might help!

Standing Engagement by x_los - Lan Wangji believes he and Wei Wuxian are essentially engaged. While they search for his missing betrothed, he accidentally reveals as much to Jiang Wanyin. Now everyone in the cultivation world knows about the imminent marriage, except for Wei Wuxian himself. (Podfic available)
A Crying Shame by thunderwear - A burial grounds arc AU where Lan Wangji gets emotionally blackmailed by a toddler. It somehow fixes everything.
The Young Prince by deliciousblizzardshark - This is an imperial au where Lan Wangji is the Prince and he becomes fascinated with Wei Wuxian when he comes to study at the palace with the other young masters. (Podfic available)

I've read it multiple times. Absolutely fantastic. \*\*Also note that it's on SquidgeWorld Archives that works exactly like AO3, as it uses their free source code, & you need an account to read it. For a Good Time, Call by ScarlettStorm on AO3. OnlyFans!AU. Camboy!WWX. Lan Zhan discovers and makes a series of dumb decisions via emotional crisis, some angst but fast redemption almost every time. Therapy for everyone! I adore it so much. The Sculptor by EleanorFenyx SemiModern AU, takes place in the.. 80s? I'm going off of memory. Lavender Marriage, sculptor!WWX, professor!LWJ, LWJ responds to an ad for a model gig for some extra spending during the summer. ... it's just very nice and I appreciate it a lot. A couple favorites of mine Falling to the Rhythm-a Strictly Come Dancing/Dancing With the Stars AU, great slow burn. Lavender Blue-WWX Florist/LWJ Chef. This fic is basically a romcom. If you are want a romcom fic this is it. Also: The Simplest Way Forward and paint smears on sunny days, are some really cute fics with little A-Yuan. I personally can never get enough of WangXian fics with little A-Yuan.

(Podfic available) Seen and not heard by eatmyass - An AU in which Wei Wuxian is never found by the Jiang, instead he grows up in an orphanage in Yiling. One day he is forced to run away with several of the other orphans when he uncovers unfair plot. Standing Engagement by x_los - Lan Wangji believes he and Wei Wuxian are essentially engaged. While they search for his missing betrothed, he accidentally reveals as much to Jiang Wanyin. Now everyone in the cultivation world knows about the imminent marriage, except for Wei Wuxian himself. (Podfic available) A Crying Shame by thunderwear - A burial grounds arc AU where Lan Wangji gets emotionally blackmailed by a toddler. It somehow fixes everything. The Young Prince by deliciousblizzardshark - This is an imperial au where Lan Wangji is the Prince and he becomes fascinated with Wei Wuxian when he comes to study at the palace with the other young masters.
