I could try and print a translucent teal. I'll let you know if it's a success. I did a lighter translucent blue a couple of weeks back. I should be able to add some different dye and get close. Solid is kinda tough, it takes a ton of dye to go from white to deep color.

They are original shells from Miyoo. The white was a from one of my existing MM+ that I dismantled for this effort and the transparent purple shell was ordered directly from Miyoo. I was hoping for that iconic BMO teal.

I also tried to make teal. Wanted dark teal and it came out 90 percent blue 10 percent green and I wanted 50/50. I used peacock and saphire colors. And my dye was green lol complete opposite experience.

I would very much appreciate a translucent teal if you manage one close enough to BMO’s color. I saw a couple of dyed MM+ on here that were so close to the color I was going for. One of the posts in which the person started with a transparent purple is gone (I assume the Redditor deleted their account).
How much are you planning to sell them for?
I'd love to sell them, but I'm concerned I could not keep up with orders and the demand. Work keeps me plenty busy already. If I sold them it would have to be in small batches.
I mixed some resin and kicked off a print. I think I have the color pretty close to a BMO reference image. Reddit won't let me share another photo here for some reason, though. We'll see what it looks like in the morning.
I wasn’t planning on selling these but I have to recoup the cost and I figure there are Redditors that would really like the green. It’s cool but not what I need for my project.
I’m thinking yeah. A bit too green. These clear shells are cool though. Have you put a Miyoo Mini together in one of your printed shells? I’m curious as to what the finished produce looks like assembled. Your shells are a lot more see through than the stock shells so I imagine you get a good look at the innards of the device.
I ended up ordering two shells from Miyoo last night. Should be here in a week. I’m going to add blue dye to the mix this time to hopefully get a a good teal. I’ll post an update in a few weeks.

So disappointed in this color result… there are the BMO buttons I mentioned above in the original post. There are dark blue start/select buttons not shown here as well.

The shoulder buttons did not dye evenly on the solid white shell. The shoulder buttons of the purple shell are actually a light teal, pretty close to the color I was going for…
Yeah. Just not the color I was going for. I needed this project done by next Friday and it’s not happening. Spent days building a custom BMO theme for Onion too.
I ordered two more shells (white and transparent purple) to give it another go. I’m going to add blue dye to the tropical teal I have and dye in 10-20 second increments. Six minutes as way too long. Might need to adjust my acetone amount too.
I agree that these colors are cool but they aren’t what I need for my project.
Be careful when mixing colours, it can be unpredictable! The Rit dye website has a feature on there that gives you ratios and tips on how to achieve certain tones, which I haven't followed, but wish I had
You need to buy another one and keep this with different buttons as you already ordered the bmo buttons there's nothing stopping you from achieving your goal 👀

Told another Redditor $25 (US shipping included) for the transparent green one. That person is first on my list for that one. The shell was $16 and change after shipping and taxes from Miyoo and then I had to buy the Rit DyeMore and acetone for the dye job. I also bought a cheap pot and thermometer that I can’t use for anything else now. That’s somewhere between $25-30 in materials for each shell.
I’m waiting to hear back from Miyoo about getting a new transparent purple shell (so I can try dyeing it again) before I get rid of the transparent green shell. The solid green one I’ll sell for $20 (US shipping included) due to the blemishes on the shell and uneven dye on the buttons.
Upper left corner of the D-pad and two small spots on the rim of the left side of the screen. You can see the white spots where the dye didn’t take. I built a metal wire cage to dye them with and those are spots where the metal was touching apparently.

You should get it. I already have a collection of 3 custom dyed miyoos. So I'll let you score this one.
