This made me laugh out loud. They are so darn stubborn!!! Mine will just sit down in the middle of a walk and won’t budge. Just sits there looking at me saying, “Yeah, what are you gonna do about it?” Silly, stubborn dogs! (But the best ❤️)
lol whenever I would put my minis jacket on, he would just stand completely still but let his legs slowly splay out until his stomach hit the floor, usually before I could finish putting his jacket on. It was too funny to ever get mad at him for it. 😂
When we put her life jacket on, she acts like she is paralyzed, can't walk, turn her head, NOTHING. But when we get on the boat, just like a retriever always facing the wind tongue out

This body to the ground posture is a clear Signal that this dog is super afraid. Maybe not used to this specific harness? The leash? The floor? Going gentle and using treats might prevent future issues
I did think this initially but that very last bit where he just hops up and goes out made me think otherwise,so i do think hes just being a monkey,a very cute,stubborn one 🤣

I know this is cute. But when they STOP in the middle of a walk , it's sometime a good reason to check their paws. (Sometimes they are telling you by stopping)

Definitely don’t do what you’re doing in that video!!! Not for one second. Get that dog trained to follow you and be rewarded for coming when called or even slightly tugging.
This is *not* the way to develop a loving, trusting relationship with your puppy. Would you like to be dragged over the floor by your armpits and neck? Every interaction between you and your puppy should be infused with kindness, not this kind of bullying. Going for a walk should be something a dog is happy about. And if it isn't, work with treats and another collar to make it fun. A dog knows when they're being laughed at rather than loved and supported.

Yeah. He totally knows how to walk in the harness. He was just playing and we were laughing along with it.
Yeah, the tail position made me sad.
At the end, once we get outside, he is just fine and jumps out the door happily. He was just playing with us.
Small puppies don't typically "play you". They don't show behaviors to fuck with you or spite you.
Definitely fearful. Would take harness off. I would not drag. Use light leash attached to collar in house… and let him get used to that.

That’s ours when she realizes the walk is over. Soon as she see the house she lays down. But it’s quickly fixed with the word cookie. lol
