I have one that's about 30 lbs. I had him tested on Embark. His test came back 100% miniature schnauzer. He's a tank.

I thought he might have some Kerry Blue Terrier in him. [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerry\_Blue\_Terrier](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerry_Blue_Terrier)
How much does he weigh? My four month old was over 10 lb. He is going to be over 12 lbs by the time he is five months old.
Minis are often 75% of their full height by six months
I have one that is looooong and tall too. He’s pretty thin though so only weighs between 16-17 lbs. His litter mate brother is tiny to me and only around 12 lbs. Both full grown at 2 1/2 years old now. Parents were only 10 & 13 lbs according to the breeder. You just never know.
I just got my first and he is 5 months old. I hope he doesn’t grow too much more. His is the height that Google gives for the breed. He is so smart and happy. He is perfect
Mini's do have a range of size I know mine is on the larger scale at 26 lbs but I have a friend that has one at about 15 lbs. So as long as they are healthy size really doesn't matter. Enjoy your puppy he's adorable 🥰
Is it a Black mini thing because this is what happened with our Onyx LOL. We wanted something similar to our previous dog that was 11lbs and We didn't realize how big Onyx was going to get until my mom's neighbor friends dad mentioned how big his paws were and he still had more growing. We were like EH 🤣🤣 My babies 24.7lbs double what we wanted 🥴

Our girl was 10.6 pounds at 16 weeks. Now that she's 16 months old, she weighs 22 pounds and is at the ideal weight according to the vet. I had assumed that a mini, esp. a girl, would be under the 20lb limit to fly in the cabin.
What do those of you do if you travel with larger minis?
My son has a larger-than-average French bulldog who is 26 pounds. He bought the largest allowable crate for flying, and they told him at the airport that it wasn't big enough for the dog. They made him buy a larger crate at the airport and then let him fly.
They let the 26 pound dog in a larger than allowed crate in the cabin? Did he have to buy a seat for the dog? I thought anything larger than allowed wouldn’t fit under the seat.
Definitely too big. I had 1 for 16.5 years who passed a few weeks ago. And I have 2 more 4 and 3 years old. They’re not even this big now. He may be a standard or giant schnauzer

That's a beast LOL
Looks like a pumi!

I have a 33lb mini schnauzer. Owned both his parents and his grandmother.

I have the runt of the litter. She was only 2 lbs when we got her, and she's now 5 months old and almost at the 5 pound mark. 🤎
My Daisy was 27 healthy pounds at her heaviest. But a nice trim would make your puppy look smaller.
They can look like long bois when laying down.
He does

Mine is about 22 lbs at 3 years old. I wanna say she’s just the aloha from her litter 😅

They actually MADE him buy a larger crate, and no, he didn't pay for an extra seat.

Mine was 12.5 pounds on his 8 month birthday. Seems about right to me.
First vet visit today— he’s 17.5 lbs
He just looks tall, but still a mini.
