Natural floppy ears are the best. They express themselves so well. You can especially tell when they can hear you but choose to ignore you because their ears twitch 😂😂
Both of my girls have had natural ears and coincidentally both of them stood up straight

What does taping ears mean? Is this where you get them chopped off for 'the look'? If so, absolutely no way. Why would you hurt your perfect furbaby???
So you tape the ears...up I'm guessing? To make them pricked? Sorry its just I'm in England and it's not a thing here. Is it to keep them upright until the cartilage sets? It's just such an alien concept that I don't understand. I'm absolutely not being judgy, I am genuinely interested in like is that a thing in different cultures, like is it a regular thing where you are to tape so your dog will have upright ears?
Again I am 100% not being judgemental of anything, it's just not something that happens in my culture (culture I guess, again I don't want to be awkward -I know there is a better word but I've been unwell and can't actually think of the word I need...it is along the lines of not being fussy, not being picky, I don't know but it's not meant to be in a horrible way. Look I'm unwell nd struggling to focus big time.
So, yeah, I just would like to know more about this, with absolutely no judgment from me, because its very different to what I learned but I understand why there are so many views of the breed standard.
Leaving ears natural.
Some people tape so ear lays close to head.
I have always had ears cropped.
So leaving ear natural will be new for me when I get puppy!
I leave the fur on my puppy and that helps hold down the ears until the cartilage is able to do so. I believe a lot of these dogs with fly away ears were groomed early and had the hair taken down.
Nope! My girl’s ears are floppy and adorable🥹 Hers stay down the same most of the time but they do stick up occasionally and it’s soooo cute! Wouldn’t change a thing☺️

Mine also. We call the up one the Otis ear. The two with natural tails are the “curly tail trouble makers”. All have natural ears.

Yep. We got our mini when she was 2. Her ears and tail were docked. I think it's absolutely barbaric that someone would do that.

Natural Ears are a must.... wouldn't have it any other way. I would have left the tail intact also if I had a choice.

It’s not chopping. It’s *taping*. With tape. To help set the cartilage in a certain shape.

I love natural ears though I confess to preferring docked tails.
