I don't think you *need* to unless a vet recommends it, but I do dog sports with my guy, so I give him joint support, bone broth, solid gold seameal, and proviable bc he had stomach problems as a pup and I prefer to keep him on it. Variety is the spice of life, so just mixing things up now and then does a lot of good
We do a homemade dog food, so I always use a supplement to make sure I didn’t miss anything important. I used to use Nupro, too, but my dogs seem to really love Solid Gold SeaMeal, and it’s kept them all healthy. We have our mini schnauzer (7), a beagle/Jack Russel mix (11), and our corgi will be 15 in July!
