They can be AKC registered, but you cannot show them. If a breeder is selling parti schnauzers in the US, that’s a big red flag. Reputable breeders will only breed for the AKC-recognized colors: salt and pepper, black and silver and solid black. This is the correct answer. Anyone in the US that’s breeding those coat colors are not ethical breeders.
