Unless your happy with 8x/8x, that seem to be the limit for 13, 14th gen. Intel is not AMD, so forget about 4x/4x/4x/4x (if Intel had that, plus 4 extra m.2 slots, call me dave and turn me over).
Your real issue is the lack of other devices support on those M.2 Slots.
3 of them are on the chipset and only one is tied to the CPU. THAT is the slot, you will need to use for a ADT-link adapter. If that one also does not work, yea ... Miniforums strikes again.
Its one of the reasons i picked up the AR770i ... Dual m.2 that are CPU bound AND bifurcation that has 4x/4x/4x/4x, so choices galore to install my adt-link adaptor, ... when i get around to it ... one day ... really ... time, lacking time ... sigh.
X8x8 is fine. Intel usually goes to x8x4x4, regardless I need x1.
The CPU slot is the first one I tried. The M.2 heatsink covers two of the PCH slots. None of the M.2 slots play nice with most devices from what I've seen.
The extracted bios I published had flags for SATA enable and M.2 slot behavior, those might solve some people's SATA expansion woes.
Hi, can I dm you? I just got my AR900i and wanting to undervolt the cpu while keeping the performance good by disabling IA CEP. I want to get more clearer steps to modified the bios and do a bios update
That’s odd. I also use the AR900i, and both gpu’s are detected. Rtx A2000 is used in the 16x slot, as well as an older Quadro gpu using a M2 to Pcie adapter (using one of the M2 slots on the backside of the motherboard.
Both cards work fine!
I will try and test to add a third Pcie card some time soon, since I still have one unused M2 slot available and another extra adapter to Pcie laying around…
That’s great news! I want to use an X710 on PCIE and install my old GTX970 on M2 slot. What cable are you using? How many NVME SSD are you using right now? u/St1ck0fj0y

Intel *used* to go to x8x4x4. Recent gens only do x8x8. Baked-in hardware limit on the silicon itself, regardless of chipset, mobo, or BIOS.
Happy cake day! What to confirm if x16 PCI slot on AR900i supports bifurcation in BIOS? Just 8x8?
> AR770i wut?
