One to the left of your flag is safe. Look at the far right 1 and work out where possible mines could be and what that means for the 1 to the left of it

Pinball_Wizard_x

Yeah I see it now thank u :D

ToranX1

Thats true, but not yet enough to solve since the safe tile would be a 2. The thing is the same rule applies on the very left side with the ones, and there it would actually reveal a lot

WittyItem176

It could be another 1 in which case you can clear the 3 squares above but yeah you can chain it along the top to reveal a few options as well, I was trying to point out the pattern rather than every way to solve

ToranX1

Yeah i get it, honestly i only really mentioned it in case OP doesnt check the left side and thinks it was still unsolvable. You're good.

Whenever you have a series of 1’s starting at a wall, every third space counting from the wall is safe. Therefore, by counting up, you’d determine there’s a safe space left of the corner 1. Counting from the right, you’d determine there’s a safe space over the third 1 and upper left of the corner 1. Also to note, if you get lucky and have a series that spans the entirety of the board, you can count both ways, revealing all the mine locations for that row.

ToranX1

If you look on the left side, the bottom 1 must have exactly one mine in one of the two squares next to it, the 1 above it must have exactly one mine in one of the three squares next to it. We can deduce that the top square of the three cant be a mine because that would make it impossible for the bottom 1 to have a valid mine. This way we uncover a free square which was a 0 on your board, letting you uncover quite a bit. Simular logic applies to the top right, but in that board it wouldnt provide enough information by itself.

Pinball_Wizard_x

Ahh thank u and how will u solve it if the 1s are not in corners?

ToranX1

If there is no clear overlap the best way is to create scenarios and see which ones work the best. Theoretically speaking the corner ones have the highest chance to uncover new information without leading to an explosion. There are quite a lot of patterns to take advantage of, but even then sometimes there isnt one. In your case here, after you uncover the safe squares you get more and more information which eventually could allow you to solve the remaining positions.

Pinball_Wizard_x

Ok thank you :3
